    Tato diplomová práce se zabývá komplexním zhodnocením podniku Zetaspol, s.r.o. pomocí strategické analýzy. Na podnik je aplikována analýza externí a interní. Konkrétně je podnik zhodnocen pomocí PEST analýzy, odvětvové analýzy, Porterovy analýzy 5 konkurenčních sil a finanční analýzy. Na základě dílčích výsledků je vypracováno souhrnné zhodnocení podniku prostřednictvím SWOT analýzy, z které následně vychází doporučená strategie.The Master thesis Strategic Analysis of a Small Enterprise Operating in an Agricultural Sector addresses the complex evaluation of the Enterprise Zetaspol, s.r.o. using the Strategic analysis. Both internal and external analyses are applied on the enterprise, namely the PEST analysis, Sector analysis, Porter's Five Forces analysis and Financial analysis.     Tato diplomová práce je zaměřena na popis možných typů e-learningových systémů jako moderního způsobu vzdělávání a jeho podpory, za použití výpočetní techniky, jejich součástí, zhodnocení metod, které se k tvorbě výukových systémů používají a výběr nejpřístupnější a nejvýhodnější metody pro tvorbu e-learningu . Na základě zjištěných poznatků byl vytvořen výukový systém za použití technologií PHP a AJAX. Hlavním cílem diplomové práce je vývoj e-learningového systému s přesně danými požadavky na jeho funkcionalitu a popisem, jak bylo požadovaných vlastností jednotlivých částí systému dosaženo.This master's thesis is focused on description of possible types of e-learning systems as the modern way of education and its support using computer technology, its components and methods assessment used for educational systems creation and the most accessible and most convenient method for creating elearning selection. On the basis of obtained knowledge was created an educational system using PHP and AJAX technology. The main objective of this thesis is the development of e-learning system with accurate requirements for its functionality and description of the method of achieving the desired properties of individual parts of the system.

    Investigation of polyurethane electrospinning process efficiency

    The electrospinning process efficiency of different PUs has been investigated. Specific attention has been paid to understand the role of PU soft segments and synthesis type on the stability of the PU solution and electrospinning process as well as on the quality/property changes of the produced nanofibres. PU samples before and after the process were analyzed rheologicaly and relaxation spectra were determined for all of them from frequency dependent loss and storage moduli measurements. It has been found that rheological analysis of PU, which is used for electrospinning process, can be useful tool from electrospinning process efficiency and optimization point of view. Nanolayers homogeneity during several hours of manufacture in optimized electrospinning process is proved by selected properties from aerosol filtration. © 2009 American Institute of Physics

    Rheological characterization and constitutive modeling of two LDPE melts

    V této praci byly analyzovány experimentální reologické data dvou tavenin LDPE pomocí MSF modelu. Bylo zjištěno, že pro kvantitativní modelování obou toků bylo nutné použít pouze tři nelineární viskoelastické materiálové parametry.Experimental data of two low-density polyethylene (LDPE) melts at 200 degrees C for both shear flow (transient and steady shear viscosity as well as steady first normal stress coefficient) and elongational flow (transient and steady-state elongational viscosity) as published by Pivokonsky et al. [1] were analyzed by use of the Molecular Stress Function (MSF) model for broadly distributed, randomly branched molecular structures.     Enhancing reuse of data and biological material in medical research : from FAIR to FAIR-Health

    The known challenge of underutilization of data and biological material from biorepositories as potential resources formedical research has been the focus of discussion for over a decade. Recently developed guidelines for improved data availability and reusability—entitled FAIR Principles (Findability, Accessibility, Interoperability, and Reusability)—are likely to address only parts of the problem. In this article,we argue that biologicalmaterial and data should be viewed as a unified resource. This approach would facilitate access to complete provenance information, which is a prerequisite for reproducibility and meaningful integration of the data. A unified view also allows for optimization of long-term storage strategies, as demonstrated in the case of biobanks.Wepropose an extension of the FAIR Principles to include the following additional components: (1) quality aspects related to research reproducibility and meaningful reuse of the data, (2) incentives to stimulate effective enrichment of data sets and biological material collections and its reuse on all levels, and (3) privacy-respecting approaches for working with the human material and data. These FAIR-Health principles should then be applied to both the biological material and data. We also propose the development of common guidelines for cloud architectures, due to the unprecedented growth of volume and breadth of medical data generation, as well as the associated need to process the data efficiently.peer-reviewe

    Two squares in a barrel: An axially disubstituted conformationally rigid aliphatic binding motif for cucurbit[6]uril

    Novel binding motifs suitable for the construction of multitopic guest-based molecular devices (e.g., switches, sensors, data storage, and catalysts) are needed in supramolecular chemistry. No rigid, aliphatic binding motif that allows for axial disubstitution has been described for cucurbit[6]uril (CB6) so far. We prepared three model guests combining spiro[3.3]heptane and bicyclo[1.1.1]pentane centerpieces with imidazolium and ammonium termini. We described their binding properties toward CB6/7 and α-/β-CD using NMR, titration calorimetry, mass spectrometry, and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. We found that a bisimidazolio spiro[3.3]heptane guest forms inclusion complexes with CB6, CB7, and β-CD with respective association constants of 4.0 × 104, 1.2 × 1012, and 1.4 × 102. Due to less hindering terminal groups, the diammonio analogue forms more stable complexes with CB6 (K = 1.4 × 106) and CB7 (K = 3.8 × 1012). The bisimidazolio bicyclo[1.1.1]pentane guest forms a highly stable complex only with CB7 with a K value of 1.1 × 1011.     First-cycle rash and survival in patients with advanced non-small-cell lung cancer receiving cetuximab in combination with first-line chemotherapy: A subgroup analysis of data from the FLEX phase 3 study

    Background: The randomised phase 3 First-Line Erbitux in Lung Cancer (FLEX) study showed that the addition of cetuximab to cisplatin and vinorelbine significantly improved overall survival compared with chemotherapy alone in the first-line treatment of advanced non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC). The main cetuximab-related side-effect was acne-like rash. Here, we assessed the association of this acne-like rash with clinical benefit.Methods: We did a subgroup analysis of patients in the FLEX study, which enrolled patients with advanced NSCLC whose tumours expressed epidermal growth factor receptor. Our landmark analysis assessed if the development of acne-like rash in the first 21 days of treatment (first-cycle rash) was associated with clinical outcome, on the basis of patients in the intention-to-treat population alive on day 21. The FLEX study is registered with ClinicalTrials.gov, number NCT00148798.Findings: 518 patients in the chemotherapy plus cetuximab group-290 of whom had first-cycle rash-and 540 patients in the chemotherapy alone group were alive on day 21. Patients in the chemotherapy plus cetuximab group with first-cycle rash had significantly prolonged overall survival compared with patients in the same treatment group without first-cycle rash (median 15·0 months [95% CI 12·8-16·4] vs 8·8 months [7·6-11·1]; hazard ratio [HR] 0·631 [0·515-0·774]; p<0·0001). Corresponding significant associations were also noted for progression-free survival (median 5·4 months [5·2-5·7] vs 4·3 months [4·1-5·3]; HR 0·741 [0·607-0·905]; p=0·0031) and response (rate 44·8% [39·0-50·8] vs 32·0% [26·0-38·5]; odds ratio 1·703 [1·186-2·448]; p=0·0039). Overall survival for patients without first-cycle rash was similar to that of patients that received chemotherapy alone (median 8·8 months [7·6-11·1] vs 10·3 months [9·6-11·3]; HR 1·085 [0·910-1·293]; p=0·36). The significant overall survival benefit for patients with first-cycle rash versus without was seen in all histology subgroups: adenocarcinoma (median 16·9 months, [14·1-20·6] vs 9·3 months [7·7-13·2]; HR 0·614 [0·453-0·832]; p=0·0015), squamous-cell carcinoma (median 13·2 months [10·6-16·0] vs 8·1 months [6·7-12·6]; HR 0·659 [0·472-0·921]; p=0·014), and carcinomas of other histology (median 12·6 months [9·2-16·4] vs 6·9 months [5·2-11·0]; HR 0·616 [0·392-0·966]; p=0·033).Interpretation: First-cycle rash was associated with a better outcome in patients with advanced NSCLC who received cisplatin and vinorelbine plus cetuximab as a first-line treatment. First-cycle rash might be a surrogate clinical marker that could be used to tailor cetuximab treatment for advanced NSCLC to those patients who would be most likely to derive a significant benefit.     Toward a common standard for data and specimen provenance in life sciences

    Open and practical exchange, dissemination, and reuse of specimens and data have become a fundamental requirement for life sciences research. The quality of the data obtained and thus the findings and knowledge derived is thus significantly influenced by the quality of the samples, the experimental methods, and the data analysis. Therefore, a comprehensive and precise documentation of the pre-analytical conditions, the analytical procedures, and the data processing are essential to be able to assess the validity of the research results. With the increasing importance of the exchange, reuse, and sharing of data and samples, procedures are required that enable cross-organizational documentation, traceability, and non-repudiation. At present, this information on the provenance of samples and data is mostly either sparse, incomplete, or incoherent. Since there is no uniform framework, this information is usually only provided within the organization and not interoperably. At the same time, the collection and sharing of biological and environmental specimens increasingly require definition and documentation of benefit sharing and compliance to regulatory requirements rather than consideration of pure scientific needs. In this publication, we present an ongoing standardization effort to provide trustworthy machine-actionable documentation of the data lineage and specimens. We would like to invite experts from the biotechnology and biomedical fields to further contribute to the standard.</p
