In order to improve multiple sclerosis (MS) diagnosing and specify the influence of climatic and geographic factors on the clinical picture of the disease, the peculiarities of its course and clinical polymorphism in the population of Rostov region were studied. The analysis was conducted to compare the main characteristics of MS in Rostov Region (prevalence β€” 27,2 : 100 000 of its population) and the area with a considerably bigger rate (Novosibirsk β€” 54,36 : 100 000). The distinctive peculiarities of the disease among people living in the South of Russia (on the example of Rostov Region) are slow progression and wide clinical polymorphism.Π‘ Ρ†Π΅Π»ΡŒΡŽ ΡƒΠ»ΡƒΡ‡ΡˆΠ΅Π½ΠΈΡ диагностики рассСянного склСроза (Π Π‘), выявлСния влияния климатогСографичСского Ρ„Π°ΠΊΡ‚ΠΎΡ€Π° Π½Π° ΠΊΠ»ΠΈΠ½ΠΈΡ‡Π΅ΡΠΊΡƒΡŽ ΠΊΠ°Ρ€Ρ‚ΠΈΠ½Ρƒ заболСвания ΠΈΠ·ΡƒΡ‡Π΅Π½Ρ‹ особСнности Π΅Π³ΠΎ тСчСния, клиничСский ΠΏΠΎΠ»ΠΈΠΌΠΎΡ€Ρ„ΠΈΠ·ΠΌ Π² популяции Ростовской области. Teacher Education in Higher Education Systems during Pandemic and the Synergy of Digital Technology

    Get PDF
In the modern world of education, the level of digital technology development plays a decisive role in the competitiveness of educational institutions. The transition to digital education is considered a key driving force for the development of any university. In recent years, pedagogical universities have made tangible progress in many areas of digital development. However, the introduction of digital technologies (DT) in the educational process reached its peak during the pandemic. This study aims to identify the distinctive features in the work of a teacher at a pedagogical university during the pandemic. The study revealed the following: the doubts of the teachers with no e-learning experience; didactically effective digital technologies in the educational process, the combined use of which ensures the synergistic effectiveness of e-learning; students’ attitude towards the quality of the e-learning process during the pandemic. Given the identified problems and positive aspects, the results of the study can be used to further develop a strategy for the digitalization of teacher education. The study proved that effective digitalization of the educational process is possible under the condition of cooperative and systematic work of all participants

Dramatically changed for the last decades. If is commonly known that clinical manifestations of Parkinsons disease are diverse and consist of autonomic, sensory and neuro-psychiatric disorders. Now days this spectrum of non motional manifestations is considered as a predictor of Parkinsons disease, which show ap 10-20 years earlier than motional symptoms appear

Influence of Culturing Conditions on Biomass Yield, Total Lipid and Fatty Acid Composition of Some Filamentous Fungi

In this work the effect of culturing conditions of filamentous fungi Penicillium raistrickii, Penicillium anatolicum, Fusarium sp. on biomass yield, the content of total lipids and fatty acids was studied. It has been established that in time the process of lipids accumulation correlated with biomass growth of cultures, reaching maximum values in stationary growth phase. Biomass yield and accumulation of general lipids was increased by adding zinc to the culture medium. The more intensive accumulation of biomass and general lipids was observed at temperature 18Β°C. Lowering the temperature of culturing has changed the ratio of saturated: Unsaturated fatty acids in the direction of increasing the latter

Gene Polymorphisms of Hormonal Regulators of Metabolism in Patients with Schizophrenia with Metabolic Syndrome

Background: Metabolic syndrome (MetS) is a common complication of long-term treatment of persons with schizophrenia taking (atypical) antipsychotics. In this study, we investigated the existence of an association with polymorphisms of genes for four hormones that regulate energy metabolism. Methods: We recruited 517 clinically admitted white patients (269M/248F) with a verified diagnosis of schizophrenia (ICD-10) and with a stable physical condition. Participants were classified for having or not having MetS and genotyped for 20 single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in the genes encoding insulin-induced gene 2 (INSIG2), ghrelin (GHRL), leptin (LEP), and leptin receptor (LEPR). Results: The 139 patients (26.9%) with MetS were significantly more likely to be women, older, and ill longer, and had a larger body mass index (BMI). Four polymorphisms (rs10490624, rs17587100, rs9308762, and rs10490816) did not meet the Hardy–Weinberg equilibrium (HWE) criterion and were excluded. Only genotypes and alleles of the rs3828942 of LEP gene (chi2 = 7.665, p = 0.022; chi2 = 5.136, p = 0.023) and the genotypes of the rs17047718 of INSIG2 gene (chi2 = 7.7, p = 0.021) had a significant association with MetS. Conclusions: The results of our study suggest that the LEP and INSIG2 genes play a certain causal role in the development of MetS in patients with schizophrenia

Influence of Culture Conditions on the Growth and Fatty Acid Composition of Green Microalgae Oocystis rhomboideus, Scenedesmus obliquus, Dictyochlorella globosa

Microalgae due to the ability to accumulate high levels of practically valuable polyunsaturated fatty acids attract attention as a promising raw material for commercial products. It were defined the features of the growth processes of cells green protococcal microalgae Oocystis rhomboideus, Scenedesmus obliquus, Dictyochlorella globosa at cultivation in different nutritional mediums. For the rapid accumulation of biomass, combined with high productivity of total lipids fraction yield recommended to use the Fitzgerald medium (Scenodesmus obliquus, Oocystis rhomboideus) and/or Bold medium (Dictyochlorella globosa). Productivity of lipids decreased in sequence Dictyochlorella globosa > Scenodesmus obliquus > Oocystis rhomboideus. The bulk of fatty acids fraction of the total lipids is unsaturated fatty acids, which accounts for 70 to 83% of the total number of fatty acids. The share of monoenic acids varies from 16 to 36 %, the share of unsaturated fatty acids - from 44 to 65% of total fatty acids fraction. Among the unsaturated acids dominate Ξ±-linolenic acid (C18:3n-3), hexadecatetraenic acid (C16:4) and linoleic acid (C18:2)
