    The objective of the study is: Analyzing a good strategy in the development of the Fisheries Resources in West Southeast Maluku District, so as to provide a decent income for communities and regions. This research is done by using the method of SWOT Analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) by looking at internal and external factors that exist. The research results indicate that internal factors, which become the strengths in the management of the fishery sector are the potential of Natural Resources, the availability of a reliable workforce, the potential of the sea in West Southeast Maluku District, improving the management of natural resources in the field of fisheries, and policies of the Government of the district in managing fishery sector. While the weakness of the internal factors are quality of human resources that are still relatively low, lack of education for the workers, the availability of infrastructure, lack of good understanding in technology, and lack of support from formal and informal institutions. External factors which become opportunity are regional autonomy, national policy for marine, support from the central government, and market potential. While the threats of external factors are the condition of the natural, social and cultural, illegal fishing, the limited supply of energy, and the price of the product which is not stable. In short, to improve the good management of the fishery sector in West Southeast Maluku District, then through a SWOT analysis, all elements of society in the district, especially the local government should optimize its strengths and opportunities that exist, as well as seeking alternative policies to reduce its weaknesses and threats which exist

    Women with professions as a teacher and married have many roles, both in the family and in the work environment. The many roles that are carried out often lead to work-family conflict. A work-family Conflict is a form of conflict between roles where the pressure of roles in work and roles in the family are conflicting in several ways. The conflict that is experienced is not resolved and will cause work stress and affect the balance of work and family. Therefore, stress management training is given three (3) aspects, they are knowledge, skills, and attitude to 12 participants. The results are, all participants experienced increased knowledge about stress management. In addition, all participants were also able to apply emotional coping stress and problem solving coping when faced with stressors

    Celebrity worship behavior is one of the typical behaviors in adolescence. Self-identity issue in the teenage period would look for an ideal figure as a new role model beside their parents. On the other side, teenager’s celebrity worship behavior often raises concerns from parents and other social environments. This study aims to explain the celebrity worship behavior of teenage women. This study is a qualitative study, with interviews as the main data collection tool. The subjects in this study were 3 teenage girls aged 14 to 19 years. The results of the study showed that there are negative and positive effects of celebrity worship behavior for teenagers' lives. Entertainment-social and intense-personal form celebrity worship behavior can see in the entire subject

    Detection of TMPRSS2 : ERG fusion gene in circulating prostate cancer cells

    Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-Share Alike 3.0 license (CC BY-NC SA)Aim: To investigate the existence of TMPRSS2:ERG fusion gene in circulating tumor cells (CTC) from prostate cancer patients and its potential in monitoring tumor metastasis. Methods: We analyzed the frequency of TMPRSS2: ERG and TMPRSS2:ETV1 transcripts in 27 prostate cancer biopsies from prostatectomies, and TMPRSS2:ERG transcripts in CTC isolated from 15 patients with advanced androgen independent disease using reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR). Fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) was applied to analyze the genomic truncation of ERG, which is the result of TMPRSS2:ERG fusion in 10 of the 15 CTC samples. Results: TMPRSS2: ERG transcripts were found in 44% of our samples, but we did not detect expression of TMPRSS2:ETV1. Using FISH analysis we detected chromosomal rearrangements affecting the ERG gene in 6 of 10 CTC samples, including 1 case with associated TMPRSS2:ERG fusion at the primary site. However, TMPRSS2:ERG transcripts were not detected in any of the 15 CTC samples, including the 10 cases analyzed by FISH. Conclusion: Although further study is required to address the association between TMPRSS2:ERG fusion and prostate cancer metastasis, detection of genomic truncation of the ERG gene by FISH analysis could be useful for monitoring the appearance of CTC and the potential for prostate cancer metastasis.Peer reviewedFinal Published versio

    Disaster including strong winds and tornado is in level 50% as an extreme weather is happen in Kupang City. The area which is affected by tornado is about 67.37% for this disasters occurrence taking place every year. This phenomenon is needed to be watched out by all stakeholders and the local people  in order to overcome the disasters earlier. The purposes of this research are; (1) Knowing the disaster’s point and the spreading of wind disasters in Kupang throughout historical mapping of wind disaster method whereby its locations of the disaster in 2012-2014 juxtaposed with its wind disaster progress in 2017-2019; (2) Knowing the causative damage factor to the roof of building through observation and location of information disaster and its sample by taking photo after the disaster as data taken. By knowing the damage of buildings construction and the use of materials by using Fujita Method and vulnerability variables on the roof of the building; and (3) Developing a wind-friendly house principle which is designed by looking at factors causing the roof of the building damage. The results of this study are shown as a form of the spreading and damaging point of tornado disaster in 2012-2019 in Kupang. The use of zinc roofing material by wooden construction is very high disaster vulnerability as well as an extension construction between building indicators of roof to building easels. The principles of wind-friendly home design in Kupang consist of identifying existing conditions, structure of the building includes splaying roof and the construction of connection system, building development and the building maintenance.Bencana termasuk angin kencang dan angin topan berada di level 50%, karena cuaca ekstrem terjadi di Kota Kupang. Daerah yang terkena dampak tornado sekitar 67,37% setiap tahun. Fenomena ini perlu diwaspadai oleh pemangku kebijakan dan masyarakat setempat untuk mengantisipasi bencana tersebut. Tujuan penelitian ini, yaitu: (1) mengidentifikasi titik bencana, penyebaran dan tingkat kerusakan atap rumah akibat bencana angin di Kota Kupang melalui pemetaan historis wilayah terdampak dengan membandingkan peta bencana angin Kota Kupang Tahun 2012-2014 dengan kondisi bencana Tahun 2017-2019; (2) mengidentifikasi faktor penyebab kerusakan pada atap bangunan melalui pengamatan di lokasi bencana dan pengambilan sampel foto setelah bencana. Dengan demikian, dapat diidentifikasi kerusakan konstruksi bangunan dan penggunaan material dengan menggunakan Metode Fujita dan variabel kerentanan di atap bangunan; dan (3) mengembangkan prinsip rumah ramah angin yang dirancang dengan memperhatikan faktor-faktor penyebab kerusakan pada atap bangunan. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bentuk penyebaran dan titik kerusakan bencana tornado pada tahun 2012-2019 di Kota Kupang. Penggunaan bahan atap seng dan konstruksi kayu memiliki kerentanan bencana yang sangat tinggi, begitu pula penambahan konstruksi antara bangunan dengan atap. Prinsip-prinsip desain rumah ramah angin di Kupang, antara lain dapat dilakukan dengan pengenalan kondisi eksisting, struktur bangunan termasuk atap dan sistem konstruksi sambungan, pengembangan bangunan, dan pemeliharaan bangunan

    In 2020 the South Coast tourism object of Kupang Regency in the Amarasi Barat region had increased tourism development with a high level of domestic visitors tourists from Kupang City. The management involves Village Owned Enterprises (BUMDES) of Tubafu Beach and Puru Beach, managed by the Church in Haubenkase Beach. However, Oesain Beach with an area of 10 Hain Merbaun Village, has not been appropriately managed. The Government of Merbaun Village has built several facilities, but they were damaged due to the natural conditions of the South Coast. Based on its conditions, it is necessary to develop marine tourism based on natural conditions in the South Coast of The Kupang Regency. The research method used is the index of beach tourism suitability, wind-friendly tropical architecture, coastal vegetation arrangement coastal security systems in tourist areas. The research results are 1) the coastal tourism suitability index shows that the South Coast area of Timor Island is very potential and meets the criteria to be developed as a unity South Coast tourist area and there two criteria in its development, namely the risk of wind or high waves and current speeds that can reach 0,36 m/s; 2) application of tropical architecture can answer the adaptation of buildings to coastal conditions combined with wind-friendly designs; 3) vegetation arrangements can be planted to reduce or filter wind, dust, heat; 4) beach security can be designed by making lifeguard towers according to beach conditions and providing flags or warning signs based on the level of its vulnerability.Perkembangan objek wisata Pantai Selatan Kabupaten Kupang, wilayah Amarasi Barat mengalami perkembangan wisata dan tingkat kunjungan tinggi dari wisatawan Domestik Kota Kupang pada tahun 2020. Pengelolaannya melibatkan Badan Usaha Milik Desa (BUMDES) di Pantai Tubafu dan Pantai Puru, Pengelolaan oleh Gereja di Pantai Haubenkase, sedangkan Pantai Oesain Desa Merbaun dengan luasan 10 Ha belum dikelola dengan baik. Pemerintah Desa Merbaun telah membangun beberapa fasilitas namun mengalami kerusakan akibat kondisi alam Pantai Selatan. Memperhatikan kondisi tersebut diperlukan pengembangan wisata Pantai Oesain berbasis kondisi alam di Pantai Selatan, Kabupaten Kupang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah indeks kesesuaian wisata pantai, arsitektur tropis ramah angin, penataan vegetasi pantai dan sistem pengamanan pantai di kawasan wisata. Hasil penelitian berupa; 1) indeks kesesuaian wisata pantai menunjukan kawasan Pantai Selatan Pulau Timor sangat potensial dan memenuhi kriteria untuk dikembangkan sebagai kesatuan kawasan wisata Pantai Selatan dan ada 2 kriteria yang menjadi perhatian dalam pengembangannya yaitu  resiko bencana angin atau gelombang tinggi dan kecepatan arus yang bisa mencapai 0,36 m/det; 2) penerapan arsitektur tropis dapat menjawab adaptasi bangunan terhadap kondisi pantai dipadu dengan  desain ramah angin; 3) penataan vegetasi dapat ditambahkan untuk mengurangi atau memfiltrasi angin, debu dan panas; 4) keamanan pantai dapat dirancang dengan membuat menara penjaga pantai sesuai kondisi pantai serta menyediakan bendera atau rambu peringatan menurut tingkat kerawanannya

    Suppression of HBV by Tenofovir in HBV/HIV coinfected patients : a systematic review and meta-analysis

    Background: Hepatitis B coinfection is common in HIV-positive individuals and as antiretroviral therapy has made death due to AIDS less common, hepatitis has become increasingly important. Several drugs are available to treat hepatitis B. The most potent and the one with the lowest risk of resistance appears to be tenofovir (TDF). However there are several questions that remain unanswered regarding the use of TDF, including the proportion of patients that achieves suppression of HBV viral load and over what time, whether suppression is durable and whether prior treatment with other HBV-active drugs such as lamivudine, compromises the efficacy of TDF due to possible selection of resistant HBV strains. Methods: A systematic review and meta-analysis following PRISMA guidelines and using multilevel mixed effects logistic regression, stratified by prior and/or concomitant use of lamivudine and/or emtricitabine. Results: Data was available from 23 studies including 550 HBV/HIV coinfected patients treated with TDF. Follow up was for up to seven years but to ensure sufficient power the data analyses were limited to three years. The overall proportion achieving suppression of HBV replication was 57.4%, 79.0% and 85.6% at one, two and three years, respectively. No effect of prior or concomitant 3TC/FTC was shown. Virological rebound on TDF treatment was rare. Interpretation: TDF suppresses HBV to undetectable levels in the majority of HBV/HIV coinfected patients with the proportion fully suppressed continuing to increase during continuous treatment. Prior treatment with 3TC/FTC does not compromise efficacy of TDF treatment. The use of combination treatment with 3TC/FTC offers no significant benefit over TDF alone
