    Photoproduction of Pentaquark Θ+\Theta^+ and Chiral Symmetry Restoration in Hot and Dense Medium

    The photoproduction rate of pentaquark Θ+\Theta^+ is calculated in a hot and dense medium. At high temperature and density, due to the restoration of chiral symmetry, photoproduction energy threshold is increased.     Asymmetric Fermi Superfluid With Two Types Of Pairings

    We investigate the phase diagram in the plane of temperature and chemical potential mismatch for an asymmetric fermion superfluid with double- and single-species pairings. There is no mixing of these two types of pairings at fixed chemical potential, but the introduction of the single species pairing cures the magnetic instability at low temperature.Comment: 6 pages, 1 figure.     High-order soliton evolution and pulse breaking-recovery in stretched ultrafast fiber lasers

    We present a new pulse regime in a stretched ultrafast fiber laser based on numerical simulations. The pulse breaking due to high-order soliton evolution in the passive fiber is recovered to a smooth pulse in the gain fiber with normal dispersion. The new pulse regime formed by the two nonlinear processes makes the ultrafast fiber laser generate ultra-broadband, ultrashort duration, high energy and large breathing ratio pulses. Our work gives insights into the nonlinear dynamics in fiber lasers and has potential for a better design of the stretched fiber lasers

    HMGA1 variant IVS5-13insC is associated with insulin resistance and type 2 diabetes: an updated meta-analysis

    Background: High-mobility group A1 (HMGA1) polymorphism has been suspected as a gene variant associated with type 2 diabetes (T2D). However, conflicting outcomes have been reported. Objective: This meta-analysis aimed to predict the association between the HMGA1 variant IVS5-13insC and T2D. Methods: Statistical analyses were performed using Stata/SE 12.0 software. Results: A total of 11 case-control studies in 6 articles were included. Results suggested that the HMGA1 variant IVS5-13insC was associated with an increased risk of insulin resistance (OR = 0.61, 95% CI 0.56 to 0.66, P < 0.0001), T2D (OR = 0.67, 95% CI 0.61 to 0.73, P < 0.0001), particularly for Caucasians with increased risks of T2D (OR = 0.56, 95% CI 0.49 to 0.65, P < 0.0001) compared with wild-type subjects. Conclusion: This meta-analysis indicated that the HMGA1 variant IVS5-13insC can be a risk factor of T2D development, particularly among Caucasians. Significant risks were also found (Asian: OR = 0.74, 95% CI: 0.63 to 0.86, P < 0.0001, Hispanic-American: OR = 0.81, 95% CI: 0.65 to 1.01, P < 0.0001) in non-Caucasian population. However, ethnical studies should be conducted to reveal whether the HMGA1 variant IVS5-13insC is associated with an increased risk of T2D.Keywords: HMGA1, type 2 diabetes, insulin resistance, variant, meta-analysis

    We investigate the phase structure of an asymmetric fermion superfluid with inter- and intra-species pairings. The introduction of the intra-species pairing mechanism in canonical ensemble changes significantly the phase diagram and brings in a new state with coexisting inter- and intra-species pairings. Different from the case with only inter-species pairing, all the fermion excitations are fully gapped in the region with intra-species pairing.Comment: 5 pages, 4 figure

    The key to promoting intelligent construction is to integrate the digital twin technology form the operation mode of virtual and real integration. And the industrial metaverse based on digital twin is the future development direction of intelligent mining face. The concept of virtual and real integration operation mode of fully-mechanized mining face based on virtual reality-digital twin-cyber physical system-industrial metaverse is proposed. It has six connotation characteristics, such as display and off-line simulation, monitoring and auxiliary operation, online simulation and preview. It is an evolution process from low-level display simulation to high-level deep integration function. Finally, it have four abilities : the ability of reproduction mapping from real to virtual precision, the ability of reasoning and forecasting decision-making in virtual iteration, the ability of reproduction control from virtual to real, the ability of seamless cooperation between virtual and real human-computer, and the ability of lean management.     Effect of Chiral Symmetry Restoration on Pentaquark Θ+\Theta^+ Mass and Width at Finite Temperature and Density

    We investigate the effect of chiral phase transition on the pentaquark Θ+\Theta^+ mass and width at one-loop level of NΘ+KN\Theta^+K coupling at finite temperature and density. The behavior of the mass, especially the width in hadronic medium is dominated by the characteristics of chiral symmetry restoration at high temperature and high density. The mass and width shifts of positive-parity Θ+\Theta^+ are much larger than that of negative-parity one, which may be helpful to determine the parity of Θ+\Theta^+ in high energy nuclear collisions.Comment: 7 pages, 5 figure
