The geographically separated fragments have age's post-intervention 30, 55 and 75 years and are located in the municipality of Santa Teresa-RS. The approach of the study was the application of methods for combined estimates, where similar areas considered a priori for a given variable share information within a single geostatistical model, improving the estimates and supplying differences in sampling intensity among fragments. Data were collected in 56 sampling units (S.U.) of variable sizes with approximately 250 m2 for a total of nine ha, distributed in a systematic grid of 40 x 40 m. Dendrometric variables from individuals with DBH ? 10 cm near the center of the S.U. were measured. Two approaches to the data set were prepared, the first of which considering both areas entirely independent themselves, subdivided into two types: a fit to non-spatial model (NSM) and a fit to the maximum likelihood (ML) not shared (individual adjustment) model. The second approach described the adjustment of the shared as a function of random error or nugget, comprising models: a shared model without fixed nugget (variability between S.U.) and a shared model with fixed nugget (variability within S.U.) models. All models except the NSM were fitted using a logarithmic function of maximum likelihood applied to the Matèrn family of exponential correlation model. Then, the models were compared using Akaike information criterion (AIC) and also by the degree of spatial dependence for subsequent preparation of both kriging and prediction surfaces of the selected models. It was observed that the combined volume models to estimate values were higher for the AIC values and spatial dependence with respect to the adjustments for the individual areas. Among the shared models, it was observed that there was a gain in the parameter estimates using the fixed nugget, which resulted in a higher correlation of samples and spatial dependence (AP = 88 m), than the shared models without the fixed nugget (AP = 75 and 66 m). The AIC value was efficient because it compared the different levels of proposed adjustments to the methodology of the study, selecting a model with parsimony and compatible with the spatial distribution patterns found in the areas. Estimates of the surface returned the variable to its original values with improved accuracy. The use of combined models for data sampling in different areas with the introduction of the error estimate intra-plot (fixed nugget) in the equations of MV can be suggested to increase the correlation between the S.U. and combined evaluation of the AIC plus the degree of spatial dependence in estimating dendrometric variables.

Combined log-likelihood for comparison of spatial continuity structures in deciduous forest.
The present study aimed to examine spatial dependence and distribution of volume in three fragments of Subtropical forest, geographically separated and the different post-intervention ages, using a single geostatistical model or combined model. Data were collected from 56 sampling units of 250 m2 systematically distributed in a grid of 40 x 40 m. Trees with DBH ≥ 10 cm were measured according to Prodan’s methodology. Two types of analysis were applied to the data. The first one was an individual adjustment for comparison between their models and the second one consisted in the proposed combined approach adjustment. Both analysis used geostatistical models with adjustment function maximizing log-likelihood. Models were compared using Akaike criterion (AIC) and relational range parameter as an indication of spatial dependence degree. Results show that combined models had lower AIC values as well as greater spatial dependence degree on adjustments of individual areas models. This research indicates the use of combined log-likelihood geostatistical models to study fragmented forests for analysis and detection of spatial volume correlation structure.
phosphorus. The structure of space variability was identified through
the variograms, being defined the needed parameters for the Kriging.
The most variable attribute was the organic matter, being not adjusted
to any model of variogram, while the pH was the least. In the analysis
of the space variability structure through the geostatistics, the clay
and bulk density, both in area of secondary forest, and pH in the
experimental areas, had showed the biggest space dependence. The Gauss
model for the clay attribute obtained the largest reach (a), being 400

adjustment, being the pH variable the one which presented the optimum
performance, 0.87; 0.94 and 0.92 in the areas of mature forest,

ENVIRONMENTAL FRAGILITY OF THE FOREST FRAGMENTS OF THE CRYSTAL STATE PARK, BY METRICS OF THE LANDSCAPE ABSTRACT:The present study aimed to evaluate the fragility of the remaining forest fragments in the matrix of the Cristalino State Park located on the southern edge of the Amazon, by means of landscape metrics The area has approximately 682 ha and comprises the Parque Estadual Cristalino and its buffer zone. Data was processed and manipulated in ArcGis 10.1 software via raster and vector files The LANDSAT 8 OLI-TIRS satellite image was used, with passage on 09/15/2015 The mapping of land use and cover was given by means of a supervised classification. The fragments were vectorized to calculate their area, perimeter, circularity index, edge area and insulation. The results showed that the area has a total of 258 fragments of different sizes and shapes with insulation from 0 to 1694 m. It was detected that soil use and occupation is the main shredding agent. The damping zone is more weakened by the fragmentation of the protected area, Cristalino State Park. Keywords: fragmentation, landscape metrics, landscape ecology, SIG.
