A Comparison between an Advanced High-Strength Steel and a High-Strength Steel Due to the Spring back Effect

In this project, it is planned to carry out a complete microstructural characterization of advanced high strength steels (AHSS) currently used in the automotive industry. These steels have an elastic effect, called spring back effect, during the sheet metal forming of parts. This spring back is the main problem of this family of steels during the production process of the structural components of the automotive industry: especially for dimensional problems in automotive structural components. It is therefore necessary to evaluate changes in microstructure during the stages of sheet metal forming in order to know precisely the microstructural and mechanical behavior of material after being subjected to this effect. Steels studied in this research work are currently used by all major automobile industries, which are dual-phase (DP) 600 and 780. The spring back effect mechanical characterization was performed by means of a mechanical bending test, called as Air Bending. The results indicate that the spring back effect in the DP 780 has the highest spring back rate due to its high mechanical strength due to Hall-Petchphenomenom. The comparison of analyses EBSD before and after bending tests showed a relation between the misorientation of grains and the spring back effect. The results obtained by microstructure analysis of EBSD confirmed the tendency of DP780 absorb a greater amount of energy during the deformation, thus resulting in greater springback effect

Diseño de Joyas: Pendientes Lúdicos de Niobio para Chicas de 4 a 7 Años

A joia carrega em si um grande valor simbólico e estético, sendo escolhida como presente por pais que desejam transmitir esse significado, porém a criança tem seu próprio modo de pensar e reagir a objetos e por muitas vezes não compreende esse valor. O objetivo deste trabalho foi desenvolver uma joia lúdica de nióbio para meninas de quatro a sete anos, visando uma interação e o desenvolvimento de uma identidade de produto com esse público. Foi utilizada a metodologia projetual de Löbach e as ferramentas de Baxter, para identificar os possíveis problemas e demandas em relação a esse produto. Aplicou-se um questionário para a coleta de dados referentes à tendência do público consumidor. Foi apresentado como produto final, o par de brincos “Sorvetinho”, os materiais utilizados nas peças foram o ouro e o nióbio, por apresentar características biocompatíveis demandadas no projeto. O produto final alcançou resultados satisfatórios, uma vez que se conseguiu desenvolver uma peça segura e atendeu aos requisitos necessários do projeto.The jewel carries in itself a great symbolic and aesthetic value, being chosen as present by parents who wish to convey this meaning, but the child has his own way of thinking and reacting to objects and often does not understand this value. The aimof this work is to develop a playful jewelry for girls from four to seven years, aiming for a more relevant interaction to that public. The Löbach design methodology and Baxter tools have been used to identify possible problems and demands related to that product. A questionnaire has been applied to collect data regarding the trend of the consumer public. It has been presented, as a final product, a pair of earrings so called Sorvetinho, the materials used in the pieces were gold and niobium, because they present hypoallergenic characteristics demanded in the project. The final product achieved satisfactory results, since it was possible to develop a safe part and met the necessary requirements of the project.La joya lleva en sí un gran valor simbólico y estético, siendo elegida como regalo por padres que desean transmitir ese significado, pero el niño tiene su propio modo de pensar y reaccionar a objetos y muchas veces no comprende ese valor. El objetivo de este trabajo fue desarrollar una joya lúdica para niñas de cuatro a siete años, buscando una interacción más relevante a ese público. Se utilizó la metodología proyectual de Löbach y las herramientas de Baxter, para identificar los posibles problemas y demandas referentes a ese producto. Se aplicó un cuestionario para la recolección de datos referentes a la tendencia del público consumidor. Se presentó como producto final, el par de pendientes Sorvetinho, los materiales utilizados en las piezas fueron el oro y el niobio, por presentar características hipoalergénicas demandadas en el proyecto. El producto final alcanzó resultados satisfactorios, ya que, se logró desarrollar una pieza segura y atendió a los requisitos necesarios del proyecto

Desempenho de bezerros de corte de diferentes composições genéticas produtos de rebanho leiteiro / Performance of beef calves of different genetic compositions dairy products

Objetivou-se com este trabalho avaliar o peso ao nascimento, desenvolvimento durante o período de amamentação e peso ao desmame de bezerros terminais oriundos do cruzamento de fêmeas F1 Holandês x Zebu com touros zebuínos. Bezerros ¾ Nelore e Guzerá, foram os que apresentaram maior (P<0,05) média de peso ao nascimento 39 kg. Os filhos de touros da raça Gir, foram os que apresentaram menores (P<0,05) valores para o peso a desmama com média de 163,6 kg, e ganho médio diário de 0,464 kg/dia. O desempenho dos bezerros (a) na fase de cria, apresentou um desenvolvimento continua crescente, em todos os grupos genéticos. No resultado da correlação entre o peso ao nascimento e o peso a desmama, somente o grupo genético com 50% de genes da raça Gir que não obtiveram significância (P>0,05). No resultado da correlação entre o peso ao nascimento e o ganho médio diário, somente os grupos genéticos com 75 e 50% Nelore tiveram efeito significativo (P<0,05). Produtos oriundos do cruzamento de vacas F1 Holandês x Zebu com touros de raças zebuínas são viáveis para os segmentos de recria e engorda da cadeia da carne

School attendance management system for students through facial recognition

Currently, in the scenario of the city of Manaus, most of the records of attendance of students in educational institutions are made manually, thus making the process quite laborious and repetitive for teachers, added to this, this system does not present to be fully reliable, because the method used shows itself vulnerable to human error. To save time and ensure that the registration is done without any failure, this work develops and applies a system to register students using facial recognition, and also has a feature that triggers an email message warning the absence of the child to the parents responsible if the student is not present in class. The project uses the Ruby language, for the development of the attendance register management system, and the Python language in conjunction with the OpenCV library for facial recognition

Side Effects of Chloroquine and Primaquine and Symptom Reduction in Malaria Endemic Area (Mâncio Lima, Acre, Brazil)

Side effects of antimalarial drug can overlap with malaria symptoms. We evaluated 50 patients with vivax malaria in Mâncio Lima, Acre, treated with chloroquine and primaquine. Patients were evaluated for the presence of 21 symptoms before and after treatment and for reported side effects of these drugs after treatment was started. The most frequent symptoms before medication were headache, fever, chills, sweating, arthralgia, back pain, and weakness, which were present in between 40% and 76% of respondents. The treatment reduced the occurrence of these symptoms and reduced the lack of appetite, but gastrointestinal symptoms and choluria increased in frequency. There were no reports of pale stools before medication, but 12% reported the occurrence of this symptom after treatment started. Other symptoms such as blurred vision (54%), pruritus (22%), paresthesia (6%), insomnia (46%), and “stings” into the skin (22%) were reported after chloroquine was taken. The antimalarial drugs used to treat P. vivax malaria reduce much of the systemic and algic symptoms but cause mainly gastrointestinal side effects that may lead to lack of adherence to drug treatment. It is important to guide the patient for the appearance and the transience of such side effects in order to avoid abandoning treatment

Aptidão cardiorrespiratória e comportamento da frequência cardíaca em situações semelhantes ao jogo em atletas profissionais de futsal

O futsal é uma modalidade intermitente de alta intensidade que requer treinamento por meio de atividades situacionais envolvendo os metabolismos aeróbio e anaeróbio. A frequência cardíaca (FC) pode ser considerada um grande indicador de fadiga pensando nas características do futsal e em sua relação com a aptidão cardiorrespiratória (ACR). O objetivo do presente estudo foi relacionar a ACR com o comportamento da FC em situações semelhantes às de jogo em atletas profissionais de futsal. Trata-se de um estudo transversal desenvolvido com 20 atletas (21,3 ± 5,8 anos) de uma equipe profissional de futsal (série ouro) do estado do Paraná.  Foram realizadas medidas antropométricas, teste de ACR, análise da FC em jogo simulado e análise dos dados por meio de estatística descritiva e correlação parcial de Pearson. A análise estatística não encontrou diferença significativa entre FC e consumo máximo de oxigênio (VO2 max) (r=0,15). Em relação ao comportamento da FC no jogo simulado, não foram encontradas diferenças estatísticas em nenhuma zona percentual da FC entre as diferentes posições de jogo. Situações expressas durante uma partida de futsal demonstraram que a FC não está associada à ACR, uma vez que os jogadores que apresentam melhor ACR nem sempre conseguem manter valores de FC inferiores em quadra, além disso, fixos, alas e pivôs não apresentaram diferenças estatísticas em relação ao comportamento da FC durante o jogo

Revisão taxonômica das espécies amazônicas de Rhizophoraceae

A taxonomic revision of the Amazonian species of Rhizophoraceae was made. There are 5 genera and 12 species represented in the area. No new taxa were found and several existing names were reduced to synonomy. Comments are given on the relationship of various species and the distribution of each species is given on maps. Acretismo placentário – sinais de suspeição na avaliação ecográfica pré-natal de rotina / Placental accretism - signals of suspection in prenatal echographic evaluation of routine

O acretismo placentário é caracterizado por uma invasão anormal do tecido placentário além da camada decídua, fator que corrobora para uma invasão intensa, podendo alcançar a serosa uterina. Sua classificação pode ser compreendida de acordo com a profundidade de penetração – acreta, increta, percreta. Seu diagnóstico complementar envolve os achados ultrassonográficos. Os principais sinais de suspeição que se pode destacar na avaliação ecográfica pré-natal de rotina são a perda do espaço hipoecoico retroplacentário, múltiplas lacunas irregulares na espessura placentária, irregularidade da interface entre o útero e a bexiga, adelgaçamento do miométrio subjacente, protuberância da placenta, massa exofítica focal, hipervascularização uterovesical intraplacentária e retroplacentária. Entretanto, a ausência de sinais ultrassonográficos não descarta o diagnóstico de acretismo placentário, especialmente na presença de fatores de risco preditores
