    Establishing imitative behavior and stimulus control in retarded children using peer trainers

    Two severely retarded children were trained to serve as imitative learning trainers for two profoundly retarded children. Initially, one trainer reinforced the correct imitations of one trainee but not the other. A second trainer reinforced the correct imitations of a second trainee but not the first trainee. A multiple baseline _comparison revealed that initial training produced high rates of imitative responding to both the reinforcing and non-reinforcing trainers. .Generalization of initiative responding to both trainers in a new setting was also demonstrated. Stimulus control of imitative responding was achieved when the reinforcing and non-reinforcing trainers for each trainee reversed those roles. Imitative responding to both trainers was recovered when both trainers reinforced trainees\u27 correct imitations. This study demonstrated the effectiveness of peers as imitative behavior trainers for retarded children, and generalization of imitative responding across settings and trainers

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui (1) ada tidaknya pengaruh kemampuan membaca terhadap kemampuan pemecahan soal cerita matematika kelas V SD N Pajang 3 tahun ajaran 2014/2015 (2) ada tidaknya pengaruh motivasi belajar siswa terhadap kemampuan pemecahan soal cerita matematika kelas V SD N Pajang 3 tahun ajaran 2014/2015 (3) ada tidaknya pengaruh kemampuan membaca dan motivasi belajar siswa terhadap kemampuan pemecahan soal cerita matematika 4 kelas V SD N Pajang 3 tahun ajaran 2014/2015. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penelitian hasilnya pengaruh kemampuan membaca terhadap kemampuan pemecahan soal cerita matematika adalah Fhitung 23,86 > Ftabel 4,15. Pengaruh motivasi belajar terhadap tema 6 subtema 1 pembelajaran 4 adalah Fhitung 68,27 > Ftabel 4,15 dan pengaruh kemampuan membaca dan motivasi belajar siswa terhadap kemampuan pemecahan soal cerita matematika Fhitung 62,78 > Ftabel 4,16. Jadi dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara kemampuan membaca dan motivasi belajar siswa terhadap kemampuan pemecahan soal cerita matematika 4 kelas V SD N Pajang 3 tahun ajaran 2014/2015

    Recent research in brain-machine interfaces and devices to treat neurological disease indicate that important network activity exists at temporal and spatial scales beyond the resolution of existing implantable devices. We present innovations in both hardware and software that allow sampling and interpretation of data from brain networks from hundreds or thousands of sensors at submillimeter resolution. These innovations consist of novel flexible, active electrode arrays and unsupervised algorithms for detecting and classifying neurophysiologic biomarkers, specifically high frequency oscillations. We propose these innovations as the foundation for a new generation of closed loop diagnostic and therapeutic medical devices, and brain-machine interfaces

    Flexible MgO barrier magnetic tunnel junctions

    Flexible electronic devices require the integration of multiple crucial components on soft substrates to achieve their functions. In particular, memory devices are the fundamental component for data storage and processing in flexible electronics. Here, we present flexible MgO barrier magnetic tunnel junction (MTJ) devices fabricated using a transfer printing process, which exhibit reliable and stable operation under substantial deformation of the device substrates. In addition, the flexible MTJ devices yield significantly enhanced tunneling magnetoresistance (TMR) of ~300 % and improved abruptness of switching, as residual strain in the MTJ structure induced by the fabrication process is released during the transfer process.     Bioresorbable silicon electronics for transient spatiotemporal mapping of electrical activity from the cerebral cortex.

    Bioresorbable silicon electronics technology offers unprecedented opportunities to deploy advanced implantable monitoring systems that eliminate risks, cost and discomfort associated with surgical extraction. Applications include postoperative monitoring and transient physiologic recording after percutaneous or minimally invasive placement of vascular, cardiac, orthopaedic, neural or other devices. We present an embodiment of these materials in both passive and actively addressed arrays of bioresorbable silicon electrodes with multiplexing capabilities, which record in vivo electrophysiological signals from the cortical surface and the subgaleal space. The devices detect normal physiologic and epileptiform activity, both in acute and chronic recordings. Comparative studies show sensor performance comparable to standard clinical systems and reduced tissue reactivity relative to conventional clinical electrocorticography (ECoG) electrodes. This technology offers general applicability in neural interfaces, with additional potential utility in treatment of disorders where transient monitoring and modulation of physiologic function, implant integrity and tissue recovery or regeneration are required
