The psychological object for the present study has been conceptualized as different components of a training programme. The attitude of the respondents towards FOCARS(Foundation Course for Agricultural Research Services). The FOCARS is designed for the newly recruited entry level scientists to the Agricultural Research Service of the ICAR.The extent of effectivenesss of the programme is depends on the attitude change of the trainees. To measure the attitude of the trainees a standardised scale was essential. Hence, it was felt necessary to construct a comprehensive, valid and reliable scale for studying the attitude of trainees towards FOCARS programme. Method of equal appearing intervals developed by Thurstone and Chave (1929) was used. Finally sixty statements were selected after the editing based on Edwards criteria. The statements were then subjected for judging to 40 experts. Each subject was asked to judge the degree of more favorableness or more unfavorableness of feeling expressed by each statement in terms of the 11 intervals. Finally, 26 statements were selected from statements for which scale (S) and Q values were worked out. The scale values of the statements on the psychological continuum were relatively equally spaced

Both the cases are from Pune District of Maharashtra State of India. First case called as Mauli Krushi Paryatan Kendra operated by Mr. Janardhan Thopte and the second case is Mayur Krushi Paryatan Kendra operated by Mr. Maruti Govind Ukirde. In this study the issues related to operate the Agri- Tourism centres are discussed in depth. Mainly focused on scope to operate Agri Tourism, challenges, implications and sustainability were discussed. As a case study method of investigation main focus was to get the first hand information form the Agri-Tourism Operators mainly on types of services provided such as stay facilities, ethnic food, activities undertaken at the centres, to know the rural culture and sustainability of the Agri-Tourism centres to get an extra income out of the farm activities and look beyond as entrepreneurship. Regarding the first case i.e. Mauli Krushi Paryatan Kendra started by Mr Thopte in the year 2009 on 8 acres of land without taking financial aid. Mr Thopte engaged 8 people to work for tourism and farming activities and out of tourism activities he is able to get net income of Rs.1,30,000 in a year whereas the income from agriculture is only Rs.50,000. The second case called as Mayur Krushi Prayatan Kendra owned by Mr Ukirde started on 6 acres of land since 2006 and his net income from tourism activities is Rs.1.00 lakh only in nine months from June to December as summer is very hot in this area due to very low rainfall. In both the cases major constraint is a marketing and to get the popularity of their centres among the urban visitors. Both the Agri Tourism operators taking help form the Agro Tourism Development Corporation (ATDC) and Maharashtra State Agri and Rural Tourism Co-Operative Federation Ltd (MART) for advertising the centresNot Availabl

Sustainable Societal Empowerment through an Efficient Novel Paradigm on Industrial Internet of Things for Smart Medicare box

    No full text
The main objective of this research is to develop a user-friendly medicine box for patients, ensuring they take the correct medication at the right time. The design allows for easy customization with minor modifications based on specific requirements. Caretakers or family members can enter and update tablet data in the medicine box, including expiry, count, and dosing schedule. Equipped with real-time clock data, the medicine box activates slot-specific LED lights and alarming sounds when it matches the designated medication schedule. These indicators turn off only when the patient takes the correct medicine from the respective slot, detected by ultrasonic sensors. The medicine box also features a reminder system, sending notifications via WhatsApp to the designated caretaker or family member to track medication adherence. Additionally, it includes a repeat button for patients to easily access and retake the previous dose. In case of emergencies, the medicine box is equipped with an emergency button, enabling patients to contact their caretakers or family members promptly. Furthermore, the medicine box automates the medicine ordering process by placing orders when any tablet is nearing its expiry or when the count falls below the minimum required level. Hence, these features ensure patient’s medication taken promptly

Microwave-Enhanced Sulphated Zirconia and SZ/MCM-41 Catalyzed Regioselective Synthesis of β-Amino Alcohols Under Solvent-Free Conditions

    No full text
A solvent-free approach for the regioselective synthesis of β-amino alcohols inshorter reaction times and higher yields, compared to conventional heating is described. Itinvolves microwave (MW) exposure of undiluted reactants in the presence of sulphatedzirconia (SZ) or sulphated zirconia over MCM-41 (SZM) as catalyst. Both acid materialscan be easily recovered and reused

Benzimidazoles: Novel Mycobacterial Gyrase Inhibitors from Scaffold Morphing

    No full text
Type II topoisomerases are well conserved across the bacterial species, and inhibition of DNA gyrase by fluoroquinolones has provided an attractive option for treatment of tuberculosis (TB). However, the emergence of fluoroquinolone-resistant strains of <i>Mycobacterium tuberculosis</i> (<i>Mtb</i>) poses a threat for its sustainability. A scaffold hopping approach using the binding mode of novel bacterial topoisomerase inhibitors (NBTIs) led to the identification of a novel class of benzimidazoles as DNA gyrase inhibitors with potent anti-TB activity. Docking of benzimidazoles to a NBTI bound crystal structure suggested that this class of compound makes key contacts in the enzyme active site similar to the reported NBTIs. This observation was further confirmed through the measurement of DNA gyrase inhibition, and activity against <i>Mtb</i> strains harboring mutations that confer resistance to aminopiperidines based NBTIs and <i>Mtb</i> strains resistant to moxifloxacin. Structure–activity relationship modification at the C-7 position of the left-hand side ring provided further avenue to improve hERG selectivity for this chemical series that has been the major challenges for NBTIs
