Quy Nhon city is a grade 1 city situated in Binh Dinh province, in Viet Nam. Its population was 481.110 inhabitants and it had an urbanization rate of 60% in 2019, while Quy nhon population numbered just 260.000 in 2017. In order to evaluate the relationship between urban heat island and land cover, we used Landsat satellite imagery from 1990 to 2020 to classify the land cover by using the Support Vector Machine learning method (SVM). The classified results were evaluated with the test samples from the field survey. The accuracy is above 77%, which is reliable enough for use in research. To create the surface temperature layer, we used band 6 in the Landsat 5 ETM remote sensing imagery and bands 10, 11 in the Landsat 8 imagery. The results were calculated the surface temperature for the study area. The study carried out statistics of surface temperature value with land cover. The results show that Quy Nhon city has become warmer since 2005, which witnessed a significant increase, compared with roughly 4 degrees in 1996 and around 9 degrees in 1990. And the temperature in the urban land area is between 30 and 35 degrees. During this period, the classification results show that urban land has rapidly expanded. Especially from 2005 up to now, Quy Nhon city has witnessed a strong urban expansion, agricultural land, and water surface have been changed into urban land. To determine the area of urban heat islands we used the urban heat index (UHI). The results show that the heat island phenomenon increases with urbanization in the city and tends to increase over the years. This research result is a practical basis to propose suitable spatial and landscape planning solutions for the city, towards green and sustainable urban development

Purpose: To evaluate the characteristics of basal gastric juice in Helicobacter pylori-positive patients before and after Helicobacter pylori eradication therapy. Methods: This was a cross-sectional descriptive study on 150 gastritis patients admitted at the Hospital of Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy. The patients were divided into 2 groups: study group (Helicobacter pylori gastritis patients) and control group (non-Helicobacter pylori gastritis patients). The pH, HCO3- concentration, and activities and concentrations of pepsin, lipase, and amylase were determined before and after treatment in study group. Results: Patients with abnormal gastric juice comprised 76 % of the study population. Mean gastric potential of hydrogen (pH) was 2.31 (range: 1.64 - 7.68), while median concentration of HCO3- was 4.06 mmol/L (range: 0 - 73.04 mmol/L). The concentrations of pepsin, lipase, and amylase were 8.93, 0.93 and 1.38 ppm, respectively. Activities of pepsin, lipase, and amylase were 2.23, 0.28 and 0.04 U/mL, respectively. After the successful eradication of Helicobacter pylori, pH and HCO3- levels decreased, and there were significant differences in activities of pepsin and lipase before and after treatment (p < 0.05). Moreover, the levels of these parameters differed between patients in whom successful eradication was achieved and those in whom eradication failed (p < 0.05). The concentrations and activities of pepsin and lipase were statistically different between pre-treatment and post-treatment stages in both successful and failed Helicobacter pylori eradication categories (p < 0.05). Conclusion: Basal gastric juice differs significantly between Helicobacter pylori-positive and Helicobacter pylori-negative patients. Intragastric ammonia produced by H. pylori may have a role in the increased pH of gastric juice

ABSTRACT: The occurrence of Larnaudia Bott, 1966 in southern Vietnam remains obscure. Although some previous studies described the presence of Larnaudialarnaudii A. Milne-Edwards, 1869 in Vietnam, our analysis of freshwater crab specimens collected at many locations in southern Vietnam revealed that Neolarnaudia Türkay Naiyanetr, 1987, but not Larnaudia Bott, 1966, is present in southern Vietnam. In this study, we recorded two species of Neolarnaudia, N. phymatodes (Kemp, 1923) and N. botti Türkay Naiyanetr, 1987 in southern Vietnam. Neolaurnaudia phymatodes was poorly knownsince the original description, and is, thus, re-described here. This species can be distinguished from all other Neolarnaudia species by a suite of characters; carapace broader, frontal area with many granules, supraorbital margingranulated, suborbital and pterygostomian regions and merus of third maxillipedcovered with many granules, terminal segment of Gonopod 1 strongly curved inwards and covered with many pubescences, lateral margin of telsonstrongly concaved. Citation: Do Van Tu, Dang Van Dong, Le Van Tho, Phan Doan Dang, 2017. The remote phosphor structure is superior to the conformal phosphor and the in-cup phosphor in terms of lighting efficiency; however, managing the color quality of the remote phosphor structure has been a nuisance to the manufacturers. To address this problem, many researches were conducted and the results suggested that using dual-layer phosphor structure and triple-layer phosphor structure could improve the color quality in remote phosphor structures. The purpose of this article is to study which one between the two configurations mentioned above allows multi-chip white LEDs (WLEDs) to reach highest indexes in color rendering index (CRI), color quality scale (CQS), luminous flux (LF), and color uniformity. The color temperature of the WLEDs used for the experiments in this article is 8500 K. The result of this research shows that the triple-layer phosphor configuration has higher CRI, CQS, and LE and also able to reduce color deviation resulting in better color uniformity. This conclusion can be verified by analyzing the scattering features of the phosphor layers using the Mie-theory. Being verifiable increases the reliability of the research result and makes it a valuable reference for producing better quality WLEDs

Enhancing the CRI and lumen output for the 6600 K WLED with convex-dual-layer remote phosphor geometry by applying red-emitting MGSR3SI2O8:EU2+,MN2+ phosphor

The traditional white LED product established with a single chip and a single phosphor results in a low color rendering index (CRI). The upgrade of LED package is comprised of two chips and one phosphor material and gives the higher CRI while keeping high luminous efficiency. Based on previous findings, the research paper performs the application of the two chips and two phosphors to enhance the color tunability of LEDs with different amounts and intensities of the two employed phosphors. Additionally, a color design model is built to serve the purpose of bettering the color fine-tuning of the white-light LED module. The maximum value of the difference between the measured CIE 1931 color coordinates and that of the simulated model is approximately 0.0063 around the 6600 K correlated color temperature (CCT). From the results, this study offers a quick approach to achieve the color fine tuning of a white-light LED module with a high CRI and luminous efficiency

The effects of red light-emitting phosphor CaMgSi2O6:Eu2+,Mn2+ on the optical properties of single-layer remote phosphor structure (SRPS) and dual-layer remote phosphor structure (DRPS) are the focus of this study. The differences in color quality and luminous flux (LF) of white light-emitting diodes (WLEDs) between these two structures are also revealed and demonstrated based on the Mie theory. SRPS consists of one mixed phosphor layer betweenCaMgSi2O6:Eu2+,Mn2+ andYAG:Ce3+particles, while DRPS includes two separated layers: red phosphor layer and yellow phosphor layer. In this work, 5% SiO2 is added into the phosphor layers to increase scattering abilities. Discrepancies in structures greatly affect the optical characteristics of WLEDs. The results showed that the color rendering index (CRI) increased with the concentration in both structures with nearly equal values. Meanwhile, color quality scale (CQS) of DPRS is 74 at ACCTs ranging from 5600K to 8500K, higher than CQS of SRPS which is only 71 at 8500K. In addition, the luminous flux of DRPS is significantly higher than SRPS at 2% -14% of CaMgSi2O6:Eu2+,Mn2+. In summary, DRPS is better for color quality and lumen outputin comparison to SRPS and adding the right amount of red phosphor can enhance CQS and LF

Phytoplankton samples were collected in 2016 during the dry and rainy seasons at nine sampling sites in Vinh Long province, Vietnam. Some basic environment parameters such as temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen, nitrate and phosphate were measured and a total of 209 phytoplankton species (six phyla, 96 genera) were identified. The phylum that had the greatest number of species was Bacillariophyta (82 species), followed by Chlorophyta (61 species), Cyanophyta (39 species), Euglenophyta (21 species), Chrysophyta (three species) and Dinophyta (three3 species). The phytoplankton density ranged from 4,128 to 123,029 cells/liter. The dominant algae recorded in the study area include Microcystis aeruginosa, Merismopedia glauca, Oscillatoria perornata, Jaaginema sp., Planktothrix agardhii, Coscinodiscus subtilis, Melosira granulata. In particular, Microcystis aeruginosa was the most density dominant species in the total number of sampling sites during the dry season survey, and this species was classified as a group producing toxins harmful to the environment. Surface water quality, according to QCVN 08: 2015/BTNMT was classified into Column A1 for pH, nitrate and Column B1 for dissolved oxygen, and Column B2 for phosphate. Phytoplankton community structure and environmental factors changed substantially between dry and rainy seasons. A Pearson (r) correlation coefficient was used for the relative analysis. The results indicated that the number of phytoplankton species were a significantly positive correlation with pH, dissolved oxygen and nitrate in the rainy season. The phytoplankton abundance was uncorrelated with environmental factors in both seasons.Các mẫu thực vật phù du được thu thập trong năm 2016 (mùa khô và mùa mưa) tại 9 vị trí ở tỉnh Vĩnh Long, Việt Nam. Get PDF
Background: Between 2003 and 2005, highly pathogenic avian influenza A (H5N1) viruses caused large scale outbreaks in poultry in the Ho Chi Minh City area in Vietnam. We studied the prevalence of antibodies against H5N1 in poultry workers and cullers who were active in the program in Ho Chi Minh City in 2004 and 2005. Methodology/Principal Findings: Single sera from 500 poultry workers and poultry cullers exposed to infected birds were tested for antibodies to avian influenza H5N1, using microneutralization assays and hemagglutination inhibition assay with horse blood. All sera tested negative using microneutralization tests. Three samples showed a 1:80 titer in the hemagglutination inhibition assay. Conclusions/Significance: This study provides additional support for the low transmissibility of clade 1 H5N1 to humans, but limited transmission to highly exposed persons cannot be excluded given the presence of low antibody titers in some individuals. © 2009 Schultsz et al.published_or_final_versio

Meningioma is the most common, extra-axial, non-glial intracranial tumor with an incidence of 2.3-5.5/100 000, accounting for 20%-30% of all primary brain tumor diagnoses in adults. Meningiomas associated with intratumoral hemorrhage are very rare occurring in 0.5%-2.4%. of individuals. Herein, we report a rare case of hemorrhagic meningioma with the symptom of convulsion. The case was a 68-year-old woman admitted to the hospital with severe headache and convulsions. Computed tomography revealed an increase in heterogeneous lesion measuring 4 × 3 × 2.5 cm at the right parietal lobe. Brain magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) showed a grossly stable homogeneously enhancing extra-axial mass measuring 43 × 33 × 28 mm, small calcified peripheral, intratumoral hemorrhage. Histopathology showed a multi-celled meningioma with bleeding areas (WHO grade I)
