Роль архієпископа Волинсько-Ровенського Мефодія (Мензака) в діяльності Волинської духовної семінарії (1959–1964 рр.) (A role of archbishop of Volyn-Rovno diocese Methodius (Menzak) is in activity of Volyn spiritual seminary)

Висвітлено становище Волинської духовної семінарії на початку 1960-х років, подано характеристику діяльності одного з її ректорів – архімандрита Мефодія (Мензака). Особливу увагу приділено антирелігійній політиці Хрущова. (The article deals with the state of the Volynian theological seminary during the antichurch policy of Soviet regime in the times of Nikita Khrushchev. The greatest attention was paid to the fact that the end of 50’s – the first half of 60’s years of XXth century were the most difficult period for the theological establishment. Those were the times when ateistic power aimed at fully liquidation of the theological seminary. Contrary to other seminaries the Volynian seminary was accused (besides other accusations) in spreading of religious abscurantism and the enemy’s nationalistic ideology. The object of the given research is one of the rectors of seminary – archimandrite Mefodii (Menzak) who was at the head of the Volynian theological seminary in 1959-1962 years. At the beginning of 1960s years state power declared completion of programme for the communist society buieding and pursued a course for the full liquidation of religion and Church. The greatest persecutions and trials for theological seminary took place in those years when archimandrite Mefodii was rector of the given establishment. It is also showh in the article that inspite of persecutions leaders of the theological establishment with their rector archimandrite Mefodii(Menzak) at the head did all the possible to protect the theological seminary in Lutsk.

On the origin of 140 GHz emission from the 4 July 2012 solar flare

The sub-THz event observed on the 4 July 2012 with the Bauman Moscow State Technical University Radio Telescope RT-7.5 at 93 and 140~GHz as well as Kislovodsk and Mets\"ahovi radio telescopes, Radio Solar Telescope Network (RSTN), GOES, RHESSI, and SDO orbital stations is analyzed. The spectral flux between 93 and 140 GHz has been observed increasing with frequency. On the basis of the SDO/AIA data the differential emission measure has been calculated. It is shown that the thermal coronal plasma with the temperature above 0.5~MK cannot be responsible for the observed sub-THz flare emission. The non-thermal gyrosynchrotron mechanism can be responsible for the microwave emission near $10$~GHz but the observed millimeter spectral characteristics are likely to be produced by the thermal bremsstrahlung emission from plasma with a temperature of about 0.1~MK.Comment: 18 pages, 6 figure

Alfv\'en Reflection and Reverberation in the Solar Atmosphere

Magneto-atmospheres with Alfv\'en speed [a] that increases monotonically with height are often used to model the solar atmosphere, at least out to several solar radii. A common example involves uniform vertical or inclined magnetic field in an isothermal atmosphere, for which the Alfv\'en speed is exponential. We address the issue of internal reflection in such atmospheres, both for time-harmonic and for transient waves. It is found that a mathematical boundary condition may be devised that corresponds to perfect absorption at infinity, and, using this, that many atmospheres where a(x) is analytic and unbounded present no internal reflection of harmonic Alfv\'en waves. However, except for certain special cases, such solutions are accompanied by a wake, which may be thought of as a kind of reflection. For the initial-value problem where a harmonic source is suddenly switched on (and optionally off), there is also an associated transient that normally decays with time as O(t-1) or O(t-1 ln t), depending on the phase of the driver. Unlike the steady-state harmonic solutions, the transient does reflect weakly. Alfv\'en waves in the solar corona driven by a finite-duration train of p-modes are expected to leave such transients.Comment: Accepted by Solar Physic

Restrictions of Financing the Budget Deficit of Ukraine

The article deals with the need to minimize the impact of “withdrawal capital” to finance the budget deficit of Ukraine. It is proved that a large amount of “withdrawal capital” increases of the threat of inefficient provision of the balance of payments, does not encourage a close relationship of legal and illegal financial flows, does not allow to determine the actual destination of mobilized resources and their ability to finance the budget deficit. The fiscal policy as an instrument of redistribution of GDP in the short run is a macroeconomic stabilizer of counter inflation in the long period - stabilizer of legislative changes in the taxes and fiscal transfers to help vulnerable populations. The budget debt management policy should be seen as an activity of the state as the borrower and the guarantor of its obligations, including the coordination of objectives and methods to reduce the debt burden in the budget of Ukrain

A gestão de ativos em Portugal: qual o impacto da crise nas políticas de investimento?

Mestrado em Contabilidade e Análise FinanceiraA crise financeira de 2008 iniciada nos EUA com a falência do Lehman Brothers a que se seguiram as crises de liquidez e das dívidas soberanas a nível global, com maior incidência e prolongamento dos seus efeitos na Europa, vieram trazer uma oportunidade única de análise da evolução da alocação de ativos nos mercados financeiros. Neste contexto, a presente investigação procedeu à análise das políticas de investimento dos Fundos de Investimento Mobiliário, no período compreendido entre junho de 2004 e junho de 2015, com o intuito de aplicar ao mercado português o modelo que Marsh e Pfleiderer (2013) desenvolveram para o mercado norte-americano e verificar em que medida terá ocorrido um fenómeno semelhante de "flight to quality" (refúgio em ativos de menor risco) em Portugal associado à crise financeira. Procedemos ainda ao apuramento das alterações ocorridas a nível da performance e do risco dos fundos, avaliando o desempenho das carteiras, nomeadamente através da análise do rácio Sharpe. Os resultados desta investigação sugerem que as políticas de investimento anteriores a 2008, tiveram que se adaptar aos tempos de crise e foram evoluindo à medida que as preferências dos investidores e o seu apetite ao risco se redirecionou no sentido de "quality" e "safety", o que teve impacto significativo na alocação de ativos durante a crise e nos períodos subsequentes à crise. Verifica-se também que, em períodos de desequilíbrio de mercado, a conjuntura adversa penaliza a rendibilidade dos fundos de investimento, tornando difícil a perceção de quanto foi eficiente a sua gestão mesmo numa situação de realocação dos ativos das carteiras dos fundos.In USA the financial crisis started in 2008 with the bankruptcy of Lehman Brothers, which was followed by the liquidity crisis and the sovereign debt crises at a global level, with the highest incidence and persistence of its effects in Europe. This phenomenon brought about a unique opportunity to analyze the evolution of asset allocation in financial markets. The present study analyzes the investment policies of Mutual Funds, spanning the period June 2004 to June 2015, in order to test in the Portuguese market the model deployed by Marsh and Pfleiderer (2013) for the U.S. Marsh and Pfleiderer (2013) find the occurrence of the phenomenon "flight to quality" in periods of crises. We also gauge the changes in the levels of performance and the risk of existing investment by deploying the Sharpe ratio. The results of this research suggest that investment policies before the 2008 crisis, had to be adapted since the onset of the crisis to cater to differentiated investors' preferences and their appetite for risk now privileging "quality" and "safety". This phenomenon had a significant impact on asset allocation throughout and after the crisis. We find that in periods of market imbalance, the external environment penalizes the profitability of investment funds, making it difficult the perceive whether and how efficiently there are managed.N/

Creation of Marketing Campaign According to Consumer Nationality

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá kulturními odlišnostmi a tvorbou marketingové kampaně podle národnosti spotřebitele. V teoretické části jsou rozebrány principy marketingové kampaně, interkulturního marketingu a kulturních rozlišností. V práci budou provedeny dva výzkumy: první výzkum má za cíl zjistit či reklama vstupuje do stylového a kulturního konfliktu se sociálním prostředím, cílem druhého výzkumu je sestavení doporučení pro tvorbu marketingové kampaně pro vybrané státy na základě sekundárních dat.This thesis deals with cultural differences and creation of marketing campaign according to the nationality of the consumer. The theoretical part discusses the principles of marketing campaign, intercultural marketing and cultural diversity. Two researches will be carried out in this work: the first research aims to determine whether advertising enters into a stylish and cultural conflict with the social environment, the second research aims to make recommendations for creating marketing campaigns for selected countries based on secondary data.
