El artículo reivindica el valor de las Humanidades para los tiempos presentes, y apunta la capacidad que han demostrado disciplinas como la Teoría de la Literatura y la Literatura Comparada para proponer correctamente los términos del debate, gracias a su vocación por la transversalidad, la cultura popular o marginal y por el desplazamiento efectuado en ellas desde la noción de “lectura” como mera transcripción al de “lectura” como análisis e intervención política.Paper claims the value of Humanities for present times, and remarks the ability showed by disciplines as Literature Theory and Comparative Literature to correctly propose the terms of the debate, because of its vocation across disciplines, popular or underground culture and of its displacement from “reading” as just transcription to “reading” as analysis and political involvement

La producció d'estudis contemporanis sobre cinema desenvolupats des de València ha pres forma particularment en múltiples publicacions, fins al punt de constituir un potent focus editor. Aquest article se centra en les publicacions sobre cinema a València, durant les tres darreres dècades. Contextualitzant el sorgiment de múltiples plataformes d'edició amb la llarga tradició cinematogràfica de València del segle XX (des del naixement de CIFESA els anys trenta fins a les recents revistes universitàries, passant per Cartelera Turia i l'experiència de Fernando Torres Editor durant els anys de la transició política), l'autor intenta recollir les diverses línies d'estudi que han articulat les diferents sèries de llibres i revistes del període.The large number of recent Valencian studies on cinema has led to so many publications that Valencia is considered an important source of publications on the subject. The present article focuses on the last three decades of Valencian publications on cinema. By describing the context underlying the establishment of various publishing platforms, with long cinematographic traditions, in Valencia during the 20th century—from the birth of Compañía Industrial Film Español, S.A. (CIFESA) in the 1930s; to Cartelera Turia and the experience of publisher, Fernando Torres, in the years of political transition; to university journals of the present—the author provides an overview of the diverse lines of study forming the content of the various books and journals of the period

Le nouveau western et l’altérité dénotée « Indien ». Problématiques discursives de Dances with Wolves

Après avoir étudié l'Indien comme instance discursive du western, cet article analyse Dances with Wolves (Kevin Costner, 1990) dans une perspective d'altérité et de spécificité autochtone. L'analyse conclut que Dances with Wolves opère un renversement discursif en donnant aux Blancs le mauvais rôle face aux bons Indiens, mais qu'aucune communication n'est possible sur le terrain d'une violence inhérente à la société blanche. Suite à cette analyse, une réflexion est amorcée sur l'émergence du discours autochtone.After an examination of the Indian as a discursive instance of the Western, this article analyses Dances with Wolves (Kevin Costner, 1990) from the perspective of alterity and Native specificity. The analysis concludes that Dances with Wolves achieves a discursive reversal by giving Whites the role of bad guy opposing the good Indians, but that no communication is possible on the terrain of violence that is inherent in White society. This analysis opens the way for a discussion of the emergence of a Native discourse
