THE IMPACT OF USING EDUCATIONAL MEDIA ON STUDENTS OF ENGLISH AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE'S READING COMPREHENSION

The purpose of this research is to see if educational media can help English as a foreign language (EFL) students improve their reading skills. This proposal for a research paper will poll Indonesian students who are currently studying English. The purpose of this paper proposal is to demonstrate the influence of EFL students using educational learning media as well as the students' experiences with educational media as a learning aid. This study's demographic consists of Indonesian volunteers (students) who are currently studying English. A total of 20 participants have been discovered by the researcher. The population was most likely sampled using a simple random sampling procedure. The researcher used questionnaires to gain information about the students' attitudes toward media use as a data collection approach. As a result, instructional media is beneficial in improving and increasing pupils' reading comprehension skills

PENINGKATAN KUALITAS PENDIDIKAN MELALUI PROFESIONALISME GURU DAN IMPLEMENTASI MANAJEMEN BERBASIS SEKOLAH

Abstrak To improve the educational quality is an importan attemp that should be done by all Indonesian and government. The bundles of educational problems have to be solved and distributed not only to the municipal  government but also to the prefectural government and the stakeholders of education. The distribution of task and responbility on the improvement of educational quality cannot be done automatically without stakeholders’ comprehension and understanding of the importance of educational improvement. But, teachers and school principal at least can do much when the stakeholdersgive much attention and prosperity to make them better life and more professional. In addition, the concept of school based management should be implemented soon to support the decentralization of educational management. It hopefully could make more effective beurocracy. However, it has to be implement wisely and carefully to avoid wider corruption, collusion, and nepotism at the local and root level

Teachers have an important role in the development of students. The purpose of this paper is to describe the increase in teacher competence in implementing the independent learning curriculum in elementary schools. This research is a qualitative descriptive study using the literature study method. The literature used is literature that is relevant to the problems and research objectives, such as books, journal articles, proceedings and research reports. To implement independent learning, teachers must master pedagogical skills, skills in adapting teaching styles to student learning styles, skills in mastering online learning, and skills in mastering learning strategies. In addition, the teacher must also master the principles of independent learning, forms of independent learning, and independent learning student learning activities

URGENCY OF GOVERNMENT REGULATION IN LIEU OF LAW AS AN EFFEVTIVIE SOLUTION TO ERADICATE CORRUPTION

Corruption is an extra ordinary crime that harms the state, damages the nation's economy and hinders national development. Therefore, it is necessary to take extraordinary action in its eradication without having to consider human rights and customs that exist in society. One of the most important elements in eradicating corruption lies in the system of laws and regulations of a country, because in our country it is known that no act can be punished unless the law regulates it, so the urgency of issuing a Goverment Regulation il lieu of Law is very necessary to perfect the law. - the invitations that have been there. This research tries to analyze the substance in law Number 31 of 199 concerning the Eradication of Corruption Crime, in conjunction with Law 20 of 2001, Law Number 30 of 2002 in conjunction with law Number 19 of 2019 concerning the Corruption Eradication Commission by analyzing The phenomenon of corruption is increasing day by day, especially in terms of the mode and method of the perpetrators of hiding the results of the corruption. This study uses qualitative normative research with a statutory approach. The results of this study raise the substance that exists in Law Number 30 of 2002 in conjunction with Law Number 19 of 2019 concerning the Corruption Eradication Commission which needs to be refined or revised by issuing a new law that does not only rely on the actions that have been carried out by law enforcement but also preventive measures in a systematic way.

Nursing Student Perceptions About The Role Of The Tutor And Implementation Of The Tutorial Process Using The Seven Jumps Technique

Seven jumps is an approach used in the problem solving learning method or Problem Based Learning (PBL). The seven jumps technique implemented using the tutorial method directed by a tutor. The tutor's role is one of the critical factors for the success of the tutorial process. Students' perceptions of the tutor's role will affect the pros and cons of implementing tutorials. Therefore, it is necessary to test the role of the tutor and implementation of the tutorial process. The purpose of this study was to find the perceptions of nursing students about the role of the tutor and implementation of the tutorial process using the seven jumps technique. This study used a descriptive design. The population in this study was students of the regular program of the Faculty of Nursing, University of Riau. The sample in this study amounted to 222 people who recruited using simple random sampling technique. The measuring instrument used is a questionnaire made by researchers using google from which has been test for validity and reliability. This study shows that for the tutor role there are 114 respondents (51.4%) who have positive perceptions and 108 respondents (48.6%) have negative perceptions. As for implementation of the tutorial process, there were 117 respondents (52.7%) who had positive perceptions and 105 respondents (47.3%) had negative perceptions. PENGARUH GAJI DAN KARIER TERHADAP KINERJA KARYAWAN PT. ARMA ANUGERAH ABADI MEDAN

This study aims to examine and analyze the effect of salary and career on the performance of employees of PT. Arma Anugerah Abadi Medan. This research was conducted using a quantitative approach, namely hypothesis testing. The data analysis method used is multiple linear regression method. The population used is all employees of PT. Arma Anugerah Abadi Medan as many as 30 employees of PT. Arma Anugerah Abadi Garu 2 Unit Medan, sampling using the census method. The results obtained indicate that the two variables proposed in this study have a significant influence on employee performance

A Comparative Study between the Use of Role Play and Discussion Method in Teaching Speaking Ability

The study aims to investigate if role play and discussion methods can improve students’ speaking skills significantly. The researcher also attempts to investigate whether role play or discussion method that better enhancing the students’ speaking performance after the teaching-learning process conducted. To achieve these aims, the quasi-experimental research design is employed. The data were gathered from 60 students of twelfth grade in one of the vocational high schools in Pandeglang, Banten. Students from two classes were taken randomly and divided into experimental and control groups. Some instruments like pre-test - post-test were employed to collect the data. At the end of the study, many advantages were found to improve the students’ speaking skill including vocabulary, grammar, and pronunciation aspect. Both groups indicated to experience improvement, but the experimental group showed more advanced enhancement indicated by their achieving to reach the ‘good’ category in speaking. While none of the students from the control group could get that. Conclusively, students taught by the discussion method show more improvement with 19.93 as their mean score. While students by role-play method have 13.73 as their mean score. It is significantly different from both methods indicated by the significance value score of 0.14 which is less than 0.05. Hence, the discussion method is more effective than the role-play method in improving students’ speaking ability. For that reason, it is recommended for teachers to use discussion method to improve students’ speaking comprehension

PENGETAHUAN DAN PERAN MASYARAKAT PESISIR DALAM MENJAGA KELESTARIAN HUTAN ANGGROVE DI DESA KUALA LANGSA

Hutan mangrove memberikan manfaat penting bagi ekosistem disekitarnya seperti menahan hempasan pasang surut air, menahan sedimen yang terlarut dari sungai, memperkecil erosi  pantai, dan sebagai habitat hidup berbagai jenis burung dan biota laut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui besarnya pengetahuan dan peran masyarakat pesisir dalam menjaga kelestarian hutan mangrove di desa Kuala Langsa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif yang dianalisis repersentatif. Variabel penelitian meliputi pengetahuan dan peran masyarakat pesisir desa Kuala Langsa Kecamatan Langsa Barat Kota Langsa. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengetahuan yang tinggi masyarakat pesisir Desa Kuala Langsa sebesar 77,2 % dalam menjaga kelestarian hutan mangrove. Selain itu, peran masyarakat Desa Kuala Langsa adalah Cukup yaitu sebesar 59,2% dalam menjaga kelestarian hutan mangrove. Data pengetahuan dan peran mansyarakat desa Kuala langsa menjadi bekal untuk menjalankan program pengelolaan pelestarian Hutan Mangrove di Kuala langsa

This article addresses the issue of a female president according to K.H. Husein Muhammad. This figure is used as a reference material, first, because of his high attention to gender issues. Second, women's leadership in Indonesia is a discourse and vehicle that develops dialectically and is very interesting to be used as a reference material, especially since Indonesia is the largest Muslim country in the world where gender issues are still in the "debateble" category. This article is a literature review using the inductive methodology, by compiling the works of the figures studied to draw conclusions related to the issues discussed. From this article conclusions are drawn; 1) Analysis in terms of women's leadership Kiyai Husein allowed it because the verse that spoke about male leadership was born from patriarchal culture. 2) While the traditions that talk about women's leadership are traditions that have asbabun nuzul about the leadership of women who are disputed / arbitrary and the traditions must be understood in terms of al ibrah bi specialization sabab la bi'umumil lafzhi and that hadith is not in the context of legal legitimacy but just a notification
