    Status of Fish in Food Security in Malaysia

    Food security has nowadays become a big challenge around the world. Therefore, this comprehensive review investigates the complex relationship between the status of fish resources and the escalating challenges posed by climate change and population expansion, focusing on Malaysia's food security. With the global population on the rise and the effects of climate change intensifying, it is of the utmost importance to ensure a consistent and reliable food supply. This review assesses the present status of Malaysia's fish resources as a crucial element of the nation's food security landscape by conducting a comprehensive literature review. By elucidating the intricate interplay between changing climate patterns, expanding population pressures, and the availability of fish fisheries, this study identifies future vulnerabilities and opportunities. The findings of this review demonstrate that increasing fish availability alone does not guarantee food security. Effective policies must instead take into account the complex interplay between various factors, including consumption behaviours and ecosystem resilience in order to promote sustainable food security in the face of changing challenges. The study highlights the need for a multidimensional approach that addresses not only sustainable production practises, but also habitat preservation, balanced utilisation, and adaptive management strategies. As the study concentrates on the Malaysian context, its implications extend to regions with comparable challenges, highlighting the urgency of adopting holistic governance models that integrate ecological health and food security objectives. This review provides valuable insights for policymakers, researchers, and stakeholders interested in formulating resilient and effective measures to ensure enduring food security amidst the ever-changing dynamics of climate change and population growth by developing strategy to improve the contribution of fish in terms of sustainable food supply in Malaysia

    Tujuan Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui Pengaruh Metode Pencatatan Persediaan Terhadap Peningkatan Pendapatan Pada Meubel Faninda Jaya Di Kabupaten Gorontalo. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh karyawan faninda jaya meuble dengan Jumlah 30 orang. Jumlah Penarikan Sampel dalam penelitian ini sebesar 30 responden. Teknis analisis data menggunakan rumus statistic korelasi product moment. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa berpengaruh positif dan signifikan metode pencatatan persediaan terhadap peningkatan pendapatan pada meuble faninda jaya di Kabupaten Gorontalo. Besaran determinasi metode pencatatan persediaan terhadap peningkatan pendapatan pada meubelfanindajaya Di Kabupaten Gorontalo yaitusebesar 74,3% baik. Dengan demikian dinyatakan bahwa semakin menggunakan metode pencatatan persediaan maka akan meningkatkan pendapatan pada meuble faninda jaya di kabupaten Gorontalo

    A Pattern Recognition Approach to the Structure Identification of Soil Hydraulic Propertiest

    A simple pattern recognition approach to the identification of model structures is described and used to identify structures for the soil water characteristic and soil water dijfusivity, D( e), versus water content relationships of disturbed samples for Bungor series. An asymptotic model and an exponential function were found to be suitable structures for the soil water characteristic and D( e) - e relationship respectively. A comparison with the Least Squares Technique suggests the pattern recognition approach to be a useful alternative in identification of model structure

    : The management of public relations is an important factor in improving the quality of education at schools. The management of public relations is to establish a relationship with the community in order to get support in improving the quality of education, e.g., the quality of the learning process, student learning outcomes, and the community itself. The purpose of this study was to obtain an idea and know how program, implementation, and obstacles of public relation management between school and community in improving the quality of education at SMPN 13 of Banda Aceh. This study used a qualitative approach. The techniques of collecting data were done through observation, interviews, and documentation. The subjects in this study school were principal, vice- principal of Public Relation Affairs, School Committee, and community leaders. The results showed that: (1) the school-community relations program has been designed by rejuvenating of the board of the school committee, regular meetings at the beginning of each school semester by involving all school stakeholders, fostering transparency in the management of the school; (2) The implementation of the management of the school-community relations (Public Relations) were to empower the activities of the school committee, require parents of the students to pick up report cards by themselves, inform progress and derogation of students to parents and school committee, provide information about the state of school to school committees and communities and celebrate religious holy days; (3) The obstacles faced in the implementation of public relations management were that some parents still did not yet have a high awareness of contributing to improve the quality of education at schools and would not come if there were parents and committee meetings, as well as other school activities

    PENGARUH STRATEGI PEMBELAJARAN DAN KREATIVITAS TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR IPS TERPADU

    Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh strategi pembelajaran dan kreativitas terhadap hasil belajar IPS Terpadu. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 7 Medan yang berjumlah 10 kelas. Sampel penelitian ditentukan secara acak dengan teknik cluster random sampling sebanyak 64 orang yang berasal dari dua kelas. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode eksperimen semu (quasi experiment). Instrumen penelitian adalah tes hasil belajar IPS Terpadu dan tes kreativitas dimana data dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji ANAVA Faktorial 2 × 2. Hasil analisa menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar antara siswa yang menggunakan strategi pembelajaran inkuiri dengan siswa yang menggunakan strategi pembelajaran konvensional, terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar antara siswa yang memiliki kreativitas tinggi dengan siswa yang memiliki kreativitas rendah, dan ada interaksi antara strategi pembelajaran dan kreativitas terhadap hasil belajar siswa

    Distance Approximation using Pivot Point in Narrow Phase Collision Detection

    Discrete and Continuous Collision Detection is two common fields in Collision Detection research area where it helps to determine time and point of contact when two object intersect. Each technique increase speed and accuracy of the simulation itself but depending on application, we need to have specific solution of collision detection technique. Most computer games and simulation maintain speed as the main important elements while others such as medical and mechanical simulation needs to have a very high precision collision detection technique. Thus, an algorithm for the optimal distance computation algorithm for continuous collision detection is shown in this paper. The basic idea is to use an AABB for both object triangles and creating a moveable origin point called Dynamic Origin Point (DyOP). DyOP created by using minimum and maximum point of both AABBs where it dynamically changes whenever the object move. This is a novel algorithm that works better than the previously known Gilbert Keerthi-Johnson algorithm and Lin-Canny algorithm where it helps to reduce the complicated test and implementation. We have shown that our technique is performed faster than the previous algorithms by increasing speed and nearly approximate the good distance between two nearly intersected triangles

    Distance Computation between Convex Objects using Axis-Aligned Bounding-Box in Virtual Environment Application

    Performing collision detection between convex objects in virtual environment simulation is one of vital problems in computer visualization research area. Given a set of two or more colliding objects, in order to determine the exact point of contact between object we need to undergo various high computation algorithm. In this paper, we describes our current work of determining the precise contact by measuring the distance between near colliding objects in order to maintain the accuracy and improve the speed of collision detection algorithm. Common method determine the distance by checking for vertices and edges point between objects in brute force condition. Compared to our method, by given set of objects in virtual environment world, we find the closest point between near colliding objects and bound the potential colliding area with an Axis-Aligned Bounding-Box. Then, we approximate the distance by measuring the distance of the box itself and hence recognize potential colliding area faster than the common method. Our method proven to most effective and efficient for narrow phase collision detection by removing unnecessary testing and reduced computational cost

    Performing accurate and precise collision detection method be-tween objects in virtual environment application such as computer games and medical simulation is important in computer graphics research and development. Given pair of objects that near colliding, numerous mechanic has been developed by researchers in order to minimize computation time and increase accuracy of the detection. However, most of these techniques required a lot of computational cost, extra processing power and complex algebraic equations just to solve distance between near colliding objects. In this paper, we described an alternate technique, which is a theoretical framework of novel technique in order to find the optimum closest distance between two or more convex polyhedral in virtual environment application. Given pair of near colliding objects, we proposed an easy to implement mechanism using dynamic origin point by creating inner and middle Axis Aligned Bounding-Box just to find closest distance between objects. We believed that the technique is suitable to be used in any game engine tools for computer games and medical simulation
