MANAJEMEN KEPALA SEKOLAH DALAM MENINGKATKAN KINERJA GURU BIMBINGAN KONSELING PADA SMP NEGERI 17 BANDA ACEH
The objective of this research was to find out the principals planning in improving the performance of the guidance and counseling teachers at State Junior High School (SMP Negeri) 17 Banda Aceh by observing the personality of each teacher. The data were collected by doing direct observation and interview with the principal, the vice-principal, the school supervisors, and the guidance and counseling teachers of State Junior High School (SMP Negeri) 17 Banda Aceh. The sampling technique, the observation, and the interview in collecting the data was equipped with a list of questions that is able to find out the information related to the activity of supervising teachers done by the principal of State Junior High School (SMP Negeri) 17 Banda Aceh. The results indicated that the guidance and counseling teachers, the principal and the staffs were involved in compiling the planning of guidance and counseling program. This involvement gave positive impact on the effectiveness of the program. In addition, the guidance and counseling teachers have showed good performance and mature personality. However, the strategies in improving the performance of guidance and counseling teachers such as providing a special room for guidance and counseling activities and scheduling guidance and counseling subject for each class should be more considered. EFEKTIVITAS PEMBIAYAAN BANTUAN OPERASIONAL SEKOLAH PADA MADRASAH TSANAWIYAH SWASTA SIRAJUL HUDA DI KABUPATEN PIDIE JAYA
ABSTRACT: Financing is one of the factors that influence the improvement of the quality of education.The purpose of this study is tofigure out the effectiveness of the of School Operational Assistance financing in 1) the relevance of BOS financing;2) Continuity of BOS financing;3) Monitoring of BOS financing;4) support and resistance of BOS financing at Sirajul Huda private Islamic Junior High School of Pidie Jaya.This study used the descriptive method with a qualitative approach.Data collection were done through observation, interviews and documentation study.The subjects of the study were headmaster, committees, teachers and treasurer.The results showed that: 1)the BOS funding had already relevant to BOS technical instructions.It can be seen from the RKAM and RKM drafting;2) the continuity of BOS Financing at Sirajul Huda Private Islamic Junior High School of Pidie Jaya has not been maximal.It can be seen from the distribution time of BOS funds that are not in accordance to rules and regulations;3) The BOS funding Monitoring was already done well.It can be seen from supervision by the District Monitoring Team that has been worked optimally, and 4) the BOS financing supporting at Sirajul Huda private junior high school has not been optimal.It can be seen from the less available of human resources.However, the inhibiting factorsof the BOS financing at Sirajul Huda islamic private junior high school is still there.It can be seen from the lack of financing and have no other funding sources.KEYWORDS:effectiveness, financing, and school operational assistanceABSTRAK: Pembiayaan merupakan salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi peningkatan mutu pendidikan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan gambaran tentang efektivitas pembiayaan BOS dalam: 1) Relevansi pembiayaan BOS; 2) Kontinuitas pembiayaan BOS; 3) Pengawasan pembiayaan BOS; 4) Dukungan dan hambatan pembiayaan BOS pada MTsS Sirajul Huda di Kabupaten Pidie Jaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan Kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui; observasi, wawancara dan studi dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian adalah kepala madrasah, komite, guru dan bendahara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Pembiayaan BOS sudah relevan dengan petunjuk teknis BOS. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari tersusunnya RKAM dan RKM; 2) Kontinuitas Pembiayaan BOS yang ada selama ini belum maksimal. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari waktu penyaluran dana BOS tidak sesuai ketentuan; 3) Pengawasan pembiayaan BOS sudah berjalan dengan baik. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari pengawasan oleh Tim Pengawas Kabupaten yang berjalan dengan baik; dan 4) Pendukung pembiayaan BOS belum berjalan dengan maksimal. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari SDM yang masih kurang. Sedangkan faktor menghambat pembiayaan BOS masih ada. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari pembiayaan yang masih kurang, tidak memiliki sumber dana lainnya.KATA KUNCI: efektivitas, pembiayaan dan bantuan operasional sekola
EFEKTIVITAS MANAJEMEN KESISWAAN PADA SMP NEGERI 3 SAKTI KABUPATEN PIDIE
ABSTRACT: The school principal has an important role to achieve the education goal in schools. To achieve the goals of education, it is closely related to the effectiveness of student management at the school. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of student management at State Junior High School (SMP Negeri) 3 Sakti of Pidie Regency. This research used the descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation. The subjects of this study were principal, teachers, and students of SMP Negeri 3 Sakti of Pidie Regency. The results showed that: (1) The planning process management of student at SMP Negeri 3 Sakti of Pidie Regency conducted by the principal together with student representatives at the beginning of the year has been effective, which includes program: Analysis of the needs of learners, the recruitment of students, selection of students, and orientation; (2) The process of implementation of management student at SMP Negeri 3 Sakti of Pidie Regency regarding the New Student Admission (PSB), implementation of coaching students, and teaching students not all effective, especially in coaching student discipline, coaching students who successfully graduate study and implementation of the teaching of students concerning the curricular, extra-curricular and co-curricular; and (3) The obstacles of student management at SMP Negeri 3 Sakti of Pidie Regency, there are two factors, they are internal factors and external factors of the executive management.Keywords: effectiveness, student management, learnersABSTRAK: Kepala sekolah mempunyai peranan yang penting untuk mencapai tujuan pendidikan di sekolah. Untuk mencapai tujuan pendidikan, erat hubungannya dengan efektivitas manajemen kesiswaan di sekolah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui efektivitas manajemen kesiswaan pada SMP Negeri 3 Sakti Kabupaten Pidie. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan: wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian adalah: kepala sekolah, guru, dan siswa SMP Negeri 3 Sakti. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa: (1) Proses perencanaan manajemen kesiswaan pada SMP Negeri 3 Sakti Kabupaten Pidie dilakukan oleh kepala sekolah bersama dengan wakil kesiswaan pada awal tahun telah efektif, yang meliputi program: Analisis kebutuhan peserta didik, rekrutmen peserta didik, seleksi peserta didik, dan orientasi; (2) Proses pelaksanaan manajemen kesiswaan pada SMP Negeri 3 Sakti Kabupaten Pidie yang menyangkut dengan Penerimaan Siswa Baru (PSB), Pelaksanaan pembinaan siswa, dan pengajaran siswa belum semuanya efektif terutama pada pembinaan disiplin siswa, pembinaan siswa yang telah tamat belajar dan pelaksanaan pengajaran siswa yang menyangkut dengan kurikuler, ekstra kurikuler, dan kokurikuler; dan (3) Hambatan-hambatan manajemen kesiswaan di SMP Negeri 3 Sakti ada dua faktor yaitu faktor internal dan faktor eksternal dari pelaksana manajemen.Kata kunci: efektivitas, manajemen kesiswaan, peserta didi
MANAJEMEN KEPALA SEKOLAH DALAM MENINGKATKAN KOMPETENSI PROFESIONAL GURU PADA SMP NEGERI 1 BATEE KECAMATAN BATEE KABUPATEN PIDIE
ABSTRACT:The purpose of this study was to find out the program, implementation, evaluation, and obstacles faced by the principal in improving the professional competence of teachers at State Junior High School 1 Batee of Batee Sub-district of Pidie Regency. This research used descriptive method with qualitative approach. The technique of data collection used were observation, interview, and documentation study. Subjects of the research were principal, vice principals, chairman of MGMP (Teacher Network), teachers, school supervisors, and school committees. Data were analyzed by means of data reduction, data display, conclusion drawing, and data verification. The results showed that: (1) Programs are arranged at the beginning of each school year by the school development team and has not been well documented and tidy. The planned program was the preparation of lesson plans, implementation of learning, evaluation of learning, supervision of classroom, implementation of MGMP and procurement of instructional media; (2) Activities carried out not all listed on a standard instrument, the schedule of activities was not all according to plan and the frequency of the activities was not in accordance with the planned program that has been prepared; (3) The evaluation was conducted at the end of each semester and served as a follow-up program to determine the advanced program. The evaluation results were presented to teachers, both individually and in groups; and (4) obstacles faced were: the teachers did not master ICT well, they did not master the subject matter, they rarely applied the learning method, the principal had too much workload, and the absence of a standard school program.KEYWORDS: management, planning, actuating, evaluating, principal and teacher professional competencyABSTRAK: Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui program, pelaksanaan, evaluasi, dan hambatan-hambatan yang dihadapi kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan kompetensi profesional guru pada SMP Negeri 1 Batee Kecamatan Batee Kabupaten Pidie. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui: observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian adalah: kepala sekolah, wakil kepala sekolah, ketua MGMP, guru, pengawas, dan komite sekolah. Data dianalisis dengan cara: reduksi data, display data, mengambil kesimpulan, dan verifikasi data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) Program disusun pada setiap awal tahun pelajaran oleh tim pengembangan sekolah belum terdokumentasi dengan baik. Program yang direncanakan berupa: penyusunan RPP, pelaksanaan pembelajaran, evaluasi pembelajaran, supervisi kelas, melaksanakan MGMP, dan pengadaan media pembelajaran; (2) Kegiatan yang dilaksanakan belum semuanya tercantum pada instrumen yang baku, jadwal pelaksanaan kegiatan belum semuanya sesuai rencana dan jumlah kegiatan tidak sesuai dengan perencanaan program yang sudah disusun; (3) Evaluasi dilaksanakan pada setiap akhir semester dan dijadikan sebagai tindak lanjut dalam menentukan program lanjutan. Hasil evaluasi disampaikan kepada guru, baik secara individual maupun secara kelompok; dan (4) Hambatan-hambatan yang dihadapi adalah guru kurang menguasai ICT, kurang menguasai materi pelajaran, jarang menerapkan metode pembelajaran, banyaknya tugas kepala sekolah, dan belum adanya program sekolah yang baku.KATA KUNCI: manajemen, perencanaan, pelaksanaan, evaluasi, kepala sekolah dan kompetensi professional gur
MANAJEMEN PEMBELAJARAN DI SD 45 BANDA ACEH
ABSTRACT: The purpose of this study to determine; (1) the learning plan in SD Negeri 45 Banda Aceh; (2) organizing learning in primary schools 45 Banda Aceh; (3) the implementation of learning in primary schools 45 Banda Aceh, and; (4) assessment of learning in primary schools 45 Banda Aceh. This study used a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. The subjects were 45 teachers in primary schools in Banda Aceh. The technique of collecting data through interviews, observation, and documentation. The results showed that; (1) planning of learning made by teachers SD Negeri 45 Banda Aceh is not yet planned. Most of the preparation of lesson plans that exist on teacher made jointly by team group. Only a small proportion of teachers are able to organize and make their own RPP; (2) organizing learning undertaken by teachers SD Negeri 45 Banda Aceh have done well, by organizing optimal learning process, manage changes and school development towards effective learning organization, create a culture and climate of the school is innovative and conducive to the learning process in the school; (3) the implementation of the study conducted by teachers SD Negeri 45 Banda Aceh general nature only. This, due to the limited funds at the school. If planned and implemented in earnest, teachers predict barriers to supporting factors, namely money, time, and means; and (4) learning assessment conducted by teachers SD Negeri 45 Banda Aceh can be categorized as good, the assessment of teachers do objectively the results obtained by the students. Assessment conducted to see the progress of learners in terms of mastery of teaching materials that have been studied.KEYWORDS: management, learning, and school ABSTRAK: Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui; (1) perencanaan pembelajaran di SD Negeri 45 Banda Aceh; (2) pengorganisasian pembelajaran di SD Negeri 45 Banda Aceh; (3) pelaksanaan pembelajaran di SD Negeri 45 Banda Aceh, dan (4) penilaian pembelajaran di SD Negeri 45 Banda Aceh. penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah guru di SD Negeri 45 Banda Aceh. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa; (1) perencanaan pembelajaran yang dibuat oleh guru SD Negeri 45 Banda Aceh belum direncanakan dengan baik. Sebagian besar penyusunan RPP yang ada pada guru dibuat secara bersama-sama oleh tim gugus. Hanya sebagian kecil guru yang mampu menyusun dan membuat sendiri RPP; (2) pengorganisasian pembelajaran yang dilakukan oleh guru SD Negeri 45 Banda Aceh telah dilakukan dengan baik, dengan menyelenggarakan proses pembelajaran yang optimal, mengelola perubahan dan pengembangan sekolah menuju organisasi pembelajaran yang efektif, menciptakan budaya dan iklim sekolah yang kondusif dan inovatif bagi proses pembelajaran di sekolah; (3) pelaksanaan pembelajaran yang dilaksanakan oleh guru SD Negeri 45 Banda Aceh hanya bersifat umum. Hal ini, disebabkan oleh keterbatasan dana di sekolah. Apabila direncanakan dan dilaksanakan dengan sungguh-sungguh, guru memprediksikan adanya hambatan pada faktor pendukungnya, yaitu dana, waktu, dan sarana; dan (4) penilaian pembelajaran yang dilaksanakan oleh guru SD Negeri 45 Banda Aceh dapat dikategorikan baik, penilaian yang dilakukan guru dilakukan secara objektif terhadap hasil yang diperoleh oleh siswa. Penilaian yang dilakukan untuk melihat kemajuan belajar peserta didik dalam hal penguasaan materi pengajaran yang telah dipelajari.KATA KUNCI: manajemen, pembelajaran, dan sekola
MANAJEMEN MUSYAWARAH GURU MATA PELAJARAN PENDIDIKAN AGAMA ISLAM DALAM PENINGKATAN PROFESIONAL GURU PADA FORUM MGMP SMK DI KABUPATEN ACEH JAYA
ABSTRACT: Management of MGMP PAI is a standard to measure the targets that have been achieved in the planning, implementation, evaluation, and supervision of the organization's resources to achieve goals effectively and efficiently. The research objective was to determine the management of MGMP including: (1) MGMP management program; (2) The implementation of MGMP program and (3) The evaluation of MGMP program. This study used a qualitative approach using descriptive method. The data was collected through interview, observation and study documentation. The Subjects of the reasearch were teachers, the chairman of MGMP PAI, and PAI supervisor of MGMP Forum at SMK in Aceh Jaya. The results showed: (1) MGMP program compiled through by conference activity arranged at the beginning semester which involved the chairman, secretary, treasurer, and the other members of MGMP. MGMP programs consist of: the syllabus discussion, the preparation of lesson plans, the teachers difficulties in teaching and the other problems in learning PAI; (2) The implementation of MGMP arranged routinely once a month in a particular schedule to discuss the lesson plan compiling technique, train the teachers in tecnology information skill, and solve teacherss problems in learning; and (3) The evaluation of MGMP program arranged consistently, systematically, and programmatic using either test or non-test evaluation through the performance observation, the attitude measurement, the work assessment, and self-assessment. The obstacles of evaluation program were lack of post budget to conduct the evalution because the budget was only from members self supporting.KEYWORDS: management, teachers professional, and MGMPABSTRAK: Manajemen MGMP PAI merupakan ukuran sejauh mana sasaran yang telah dicapai dalam perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengevaluasian, dan pengawasan sumber daya organisasi untuk mencapai tujuan secara efektif dan efesien. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui manajemen MGMP, meliputi: (1) Program manajemen MGMP; (2) Pelaksanaan program MGMP dan (3) Evaluasi program MGMP. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian adalah guru, ketua MGMP dan pengawas PAI pada Forum MGMP SMK di Kabupaten Aceh Jaya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) Program MGMP disusun melalui Musyawarah Guru Bersama pada awal semester dengan ikut terlibat ketua MGMP, sekretaris, bendahara, pengurus dan anggota lain. Isi program MGMP terdiri dari: pembahasan silabus, penyusunan RPP, kesulitan guru dalam mengajar dan permasalahan lain dalam pembelajaran PAI; (2) Pelaksanaan MGMP rutin dilakukan setiap satu bulan sekali dengan jadwal yang telah terprogram, dengan membahas tentang teknik menyusun RPP, melatih guru dalam IT, dan pemecahan masalah guru dalam pembelajaran; dan (3) Evaluasi program MGMP dilakukan secara konsisten, sistematis, dan terprogram dengan menggunakan tes dan nontes melalui pengamatan kinerja, pengukuran sikap, penilaian hasil karya, dan penilaian diri. Hambatan evaluasi program yakni tidak tersedianya post anggaran untuk melaksanakan kegiatan, anggaran yang tersedia berasal dari swadaya anggota.KATA KUNCI: manajemen, profesional guru, dan MGM
IMPLEMENTASI SISTEM MANAJEMEN MUTU ISO 9001:2008 PADA SMK NEGERI 2 BANDA ACEH
The purpose of this study was to find out the planning, implementation, supervision, and constraints found in the implementation of ISO 9001: 2008 quality management system (QMS) at State Vocational High School (SMK Negeri) 2 of Banda Aceh. The results of the study showed that: (1) QMS planning was begun by establishing a commitment of all school members and the core team, then building QMS in the form of quality awareness training, required QMS document preparation, and socialization; (2) the implementation of the QMS was done by applying the QMS document to the business process consisting of the planning, core, supporting, and improvement process of all units; (3) internal QMS supervision was done directly by the principal by involving all team leaders and through management meetings by discussing the results of internal audit. Meanwhile, external QMS supervision was conducted by the assessors of PT. TUV Rheinland Indonesia once a year. (4) The constraints found in the QMS were shortages of personnel, excessive personnel workload, rotation or mutation, inadequate facility in the form of equipment and required machinery, the budget allocated by the government each year, and business and industry (DU/DI) facilities in Banda Aceh City.Keywords: ISO 9001:2008, quality, management, system, QM
STUDI EVALUATIF TENTANG KEBIJAKAN PEMERINTAH KABUPATEN ACEH SELATAN DALAM REKRUTMEN CALON GURU TINGKAT SEKOLAH MENENGAH TAHUN 2014
Abstract: The purpose of this study is to explore government policy in South Aceh in 2014 for: (1) a recruitment program; (2) mechanisms and strategies in recruitment of prospective teachers; and (3) the obstacles encountered in the recruitment process. This study uses a qualitative approach and descriptive method. Subjects are Regional Secretary, Head of Human Resources, the Selection Committee, and the principal of South Aceh District Government. The results show that: (1) Government policy on teachers recruitment program in South Aceh district in 2014 is a follow-up program set by the central government.The recruitment is based on the recruitment program of civil servant candidates implemented under the existing provisions, in recruitment system, neededformation (vacancies) and etc.; (2) Recruitment mechanisms are conducted through several stages, namely recruitment announcement, the file collection, file preparedness announcements, recruitmenttests, results announcement, and the publication of the decree. Meanwhile, strategy used in determining the candidate qualification of accredited Teacher Training Institutions (LPTK) is by using Computer Assisted Test (CAT); and (3) The obstacles encountered in determining the recruitment of teachers are lackingof facilities to conduct testsusing computerized systems, weak internet signal and poor human resource skills in operating computers.Keywords: Evaluative Study, Policies, Recruitment, and Teacher CandidatesAbstrak: Kebijaksanaan adalah kearifan yang dimiliki oleh seseorang, sedangkan kebijakan adalah aturan tertulis hasil keputusan formal organisasi. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui kebijakan pemerintah Aceh Selatan tahun 2014, yaitu: (1) program kebijakan dalam perekrutan guru; (2) mekanisme dan strategi terhadap perekrutan guru; dan (3) kendala-kendala yang dijumpai dalam penentuan perekrutan guru. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah: Sekretaris Daerah, Kepala Badan Kepegawaian Pendidikan dan Pelatihan, Panitia Seleksi, dan Kepala Sekolah/guru pada Pemerintah Daerah Kabupaten Aceh Selatan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan (1) program kebijakan pemda dalam perekrutan guru di Kabupaten Aceh Selatan tahun 2014 merupakan program tindak lanjut kebijakan yang telah ditetapkan pusat, yaitu perekrutan CPNS yang dilaksanakan berdasarkan ketentuan yang telah ada, baik itu sistem perekrutan, formasi yang dibutuhkan; (2) mekanisme perekrutan adalah: melalui tahapan pengumuman, pengumpulan berkas, penyeleksian berkas, pengumuman kesiapan berkas, tes, dan pengumuman kelulusan, serta pemberian SK. Sedangkan strategi yang dilakukan adalah: menentukan kualifikasi lulusan PTK yang terakreditasi dengan menggunakan sistem Computer Assisted Test (CAT); (3) kendala-kendala yang dihadapi dalam penentuan perekrutan calon guru adalah: kurangnya sarana pendukung untuk mengikuti tes dengan sistem komputerisasi, di samping sinyal internetnya yang lemah dan kemampuan sumber daya personil dalam menggunakan komputer masih rendah.Kata kunci: Studi Evaluatif, Kebijakan, Rekrutmen, dan Calon Gur
EFEKTIVITAS KEPENGAWASAN KEPALA SEKOLAH DALAM MENINGKATKAN PROFESIONALISME TENAGA PENDIDIK DI MADRASAH ALIYAH NEGERI BEUREUNUEN
ABSTRACT: Supervisory principals improve the professionalism of teachers can improve teacher competence. The aim of this study was to obtain data about the program, the implementation of the oversight conducted by the principal, and obstacles in carrying out supervisory teaching to improve teacher performance. This study used a qualitative approach, descriptive methods, data collection techniques of observation, interviews and documentation study, subjects qualitative research Principals and teachers MAN Beureuneuen Pidie and data processing through qualitative analysis, Penelitian gives conclusions: (1) The head of the school has put together a program supervisory specifically based on the results of the analysis of the needs and problems experienced teachers; (2) the implementation of supervisory teaching effectively implemented in accordance with a program that had been developed together with the techniques of individual and group techniques; (3) supervisory evaluation of principals in improving the professionalism of teachers in Madrasah Aliyah Negeri Beureunuen done with coaching, individually or in groups regularly and continuously, so as to produce professional teachers in accordance with their respective field; and (4) the barriers experienced by principals in implementing the internal oversight is the attitude of teachers in accepting guidance, and external constraints are the number of inspectors is limited and they are forced to build different teachers their field of study. Based on these results suggested that the government commissioned a study or field supervisor personnel provide specialized training to them.Keywords: supervisory, teaching, and teacher performanceABSTRAK: Kepengawasan kepala sekolah meningkatkan profesionalisme tenaga pendidik dapat meningkatkan kompetensi guru. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, metode deskriptif, teknik pengumpulan data observasi, wawancara dan studi dokumentasi, subjek penelitian kualitatif Kepala Sekolah dan guru MAN Beureuneuen Kabupaten Pidie, dan pengolahan data melalui analisis kualitatif, Penelitian ini memberikan kesimpulan: (1) kepala Sekolah telah menyusun program kepengawasan secara khusus berdasarkan hasil analisis kebutuhan dan masalah yang dialami guru; (2) pelaksanaan kepengawasan pengajaran dilaksanakan secara efektif sesuai dengan program yang telah disusun bersama dengan teknik perorangan dan teknik kelompok; (3) evaluasi kepengawasan kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan profesionalisme tenaga pendidik di Madrasah Aliyah Negeri Beureunuen dilakukan dengan pembinaan secara individual maupun berkelompok secara rutin dan berkesinambungan, sehingga menghasilkan guru-guru yang profesional sesuai dengan bidangnya masing-masing; dan (4) hambatan-hambatan yang dialami kepala sekolah dalam melaksanakan kepengawasan yang bersifat internal adalah sikap guru dalam menerima pembinaan, dan hambatan eksternal adalah jumlah pengawas terbatas dan mereka terpaksa membina guru yang berbeda bidang studinya. Berdasarkan hasil ini disarankan agar pemerintah menugaskan tenaga supervisor bidang studi atau memberi pelatihan khusus kepada mereka.Kata kunci: kepengawasan, pengajaran, dan kinerja gur
PENGARUH KEPEMIMPINAN KEPALA SEKOLAH DAN MOTIVASI KERJA TERHADAP KINERJA GURU
Abstract: Generally, teacher performance becomes the main objective in improving the quality of education. Therefore, the improvement of the teacher performance requires serious attention from various parties and needs efforts to increase the factors relating to the teacher performance, such as principal leadership and work motivation. This study aimed at determining effects on school leadership and motivation on the performance of teachers at SMAN 7 of Banda Aceh. This study used a quantitative approach with the associative method. The data analysis technique used to test the hypothesis was simple linear regression analysis and multiple, t-test and F-test. The results showed that: 1) there was a significant correlation between the leadership of the principal on teacher performance that was equal to 35.8%. This meant that both variables affected each other, the more conducive school leadership is, the better the level of teacher performance is; 2) there was a significant correlation of work motivations on the performance of teachers of 99.3%. Where the work motivation of teachers would affect the activities of teachers in the school to achieve maximum performance of teachers. High motivation will also encourage teachers to develop creativity and actualize all of the capabilities as well as its energy in order to achieve maximum achievement; and 3) there was a significant correlation between the principal leadership and motivation to work together on teacher performance about 96.8%. Both variables, the principal leadership and motivation, were accordance with the teacher performance variable, meaning the better the principal leadership and motivation are, the higher the performance of the teacher is.Keywords: leadership, principal, work motivation, and teacher performanceAbstrak: Kinerja guru menjadi sasaran utama dalam peningkatan mutu pendidikan secara umum. Oleh karena itu, peningkatan kinerja guru perlu mendapat perhatian yang serius dari berbagai pihak, dan upaya peningkatan faktor-faktor yang berkaitan dengan kinerja guru seperti kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dan motivasi kerja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh antara kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dan motivasi kerja terhadap kinerja guru di SMA Negeri 7 Banda Aceh. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode asosiatif. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan untuk menguji hipotesis adalah analisis regresi linear sederhana dan berganda, uji t dan uji F. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara kepemimpinan kepala sekolah terhadap kinerja guru sebesar 35,8%. Artinya kedua variabel dapat berjalan seiring, semakin kondusif kepemimpinan kepala sekolah maka akan semakin baik tingkat kinerja guru; 2) Terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara motivasi kerja terhadap kinerja guru yaitu sebesar 99,3%. Artinya motivasi kerja pada guru akan mempengaruhi aktivitas guru di sekolah untuk pencapaian kinerja guru yang maksimal. Motivasi yang tinggi juga akan mendorong guru mengembangkan kreativitas dan mengaktualisasikan semua kemampuan serta energi yang dimilikinya demi mencapai prestasi yang maksimal; dan 3) Terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dan motivasi kerja terhadap kinerja guru sebesar 96,8%. Kedua variabel yaitu kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dan motivasi kerja berjalan seiring dengan variabel kinerja guru, artinya semakin baik kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dan motivasi kerja, maka semakin tinggi pula kinerja guru tersebut.Kata kunci: kepemimpinan, kepala sekolah, motivasi kerja dan kinerja gur
