Valoración de empresa por el método flujos de caja descontados para una clínica especializada en oftalmología

    Get PDF
This investigation work search to contribute to the Ophthalmology Clinic a tool that let know the clinical value for the shareholders in the next five years by the method of Free Cash Flow. The method more use for companies’ valuation is the “FREE CASH FLOW” because it shows the ability of a company for generates future cash flows for the shareholders. For this will take historical financial statements for five years and will be screened for other equal period, for this will take in account macroeconomics variables that affect the environment aspects as are IGBC, DTF, Inflation, and strategic policy by the Management of the Clinic. The valuation by Free Cash Flow will realize in Excel of a form very nice allowing update the information at any time and so can track to the projections. In the last five years, the Clinic has realized invested in non operational assets (real estate), obtaining only valuations and without making any contribution to normal turn of the activity Ophthalmology

Thermal 3D CFD Simulation with Active Transparent Façade in Buildings

    Get PDF
In recent years active façades have acquired greater importance given their capacity to improve the energy efficiency of buildings. One such type is the so-called Active Transparent Façade (ATF). A 3D numerical model based on computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and the Finite Element Method (FEM) has been generated to simulate the thermal performance of buildings equipped with this type of façade. This model is introduced for general application and allows the design parameters to be adapted for this system. The case study of Le Corbusier’s proposal for the City of Refuge in Paris, the clearest example of previous use of an ATF is examined. In addition, a proposal is presented for the energy improvement of Le Corbusier’s original solution. In order to do so, the conditions for the supply of air into the ATF cavity and in the mechanical ventilation system are assessed to guarantee comfort conditions

Behaviour of insulin Langmuir monolayers at the air–water interface under various conditions

    Get PDF
Bovine insulin (INS) monolayers were spread from dilute HCl solution on aqueous subphases under various conditions of temperature (1525 °C), pH (110) and salt content (NaCl, Na3PO4, ZnCl2), and plots of surface pressure (π) against mean area per amino acid residue (A) were recorded during their compression at fast and slow barrier speeds. Although the characteristics and behaviour of the monolayers were significantly influenced by these variables, under none of the conditions studied did molecules of the film appear to migrate into the subphase. In most of conditions mentioned above, compression of these films seems likely to cause the partial submersion of the insulin molecules in the subphase, but these structural changes are relatively slow and essentially reversible. The formation of a relatively rigid, compact film structure, by molecular association, seems to be favoured by high subphase pH and by the presence of Zn2+ ions, while low pH and the presence of PO43 ions appear to favour the dissociation of oligomers, the extension of the monomers and the total submersion of their A chains in the subphase during compression. The presence of salts in the subphase also reduces the reversibility of the changes occurred under film compression.Ministerio de Ciencia y Tecnología | Ref. BQU2003-00949Xunta de Galici

Electric and magnetic dipolar response of Germanium spheres: Interference effects, scattering anisotropy and optical forces

We address the scattering cross sections, and their consequences, for submicrometer Germanium spheres. It is shown that there is a wide window in the near infrared where light scattering by these particles is fully described by their induced electric and magnetic dipoles. In this way, we observe remarkable anisotropic scattering angular distributions, as well as zero forward or backward scattered intensities, which until recently was theoretically demonstrated only for hypothetically postulated magnetodielectric spheres. Also, interesting new effects of the optical forces exerted on these objects are now obtained.Comment: 13 pages, 4 figure

    Gold-Catalyzed Synthesis of 1-(Indol-3-yl)carbazoles: Selective 1,2-Alkyl vs 1,2-Vinyl Migration

    Get PDF
Gold(III)-catalyzed cycloisomerization of α-bis(indol-3-yl)methyl alkynols selectively affords 1-(indol-3-yl)carbazoles, in a transformation that takes place through a selective 1,2-alkyl vs 1,2-vinyl migration step in the vinyl-gold intermediate generated from the initial 5-endo-spirocyclization. The reaction proceeds well with either tertiary or secondary starting alkynols as well as with a wide variety of alkyne substituents. The key role of the other indol-3-yl substituent for the unexpected selectivity in the 1,2 rearrangement has also been supported by DFT calculations that reveal a low barrier, two-step mechanism in the alkyl migration path where the second indole significantly stabilizes a carbocationic intermediate.Junta de Castilla y León and FEDER (BU076U16) and Ministerio de Economía y Competitividad (MINECO) (CTQ2016-75023-C2-1-P and CTQ2016-75023- C2-2-P
