    Abstract Interpretation of Supermodular Games

    Supermodular games find significant applications in a variety of models, especially in operations research and economic applications of noncooperative game theory, and feature pure strategy Nash equilibria characterized as fixed points of multivalued functions on complete lattices. Pure strategy Nash equilibria of supermodular games are here approximated by resorting to the theory of abstract interpretation, a well established and known framework used for designing static analyses of programming languages. This is obtained by extending the theory of abstract interpretation in order to handle approximations of multivalued functions and by providing some methods for abstracting supermodular games, in order to obtain approximate Nash equilibria which are shown to be correct within the abstract interpretation framework

    Constructive thinking skills and impulsivity dimensions in conduct and substance use disorders: differences and relationships in an adolescents' sample.

    Impact of conduct disorder (CD) and substance use disorder (SUD) on constructive thinking skills and impulsivity was explored. 71 offending adolescents were assessed for CD and SUD. Furthermore, the constructive thinking inventory, the immediate and delayed memory tasks and the UPPS impulsive behaviour scale were administered. Results showed that youths with CD, independently from SUD, presented higher personality impulsivity (urgency) and altered constructive thinking skills (categorical thinking and personal superstitious thinking). Furthermore, trait-impulsivity explained variation in constructive thinking skills. The implications of these results were discussed

    (Eng) This paper aims to analyse the knowledge transfer mechanisms and strategic knowledge management in occupational safety and health (OSH) companies. The main authors consulted for the study were Dav - enport (6) , Molina, and Marsal (8) . The research is descriptive, non-experimental, cross-sectional and with field design. Results indicate that the spontaneous transference is present through personal meetings, and formal transference is mainly characterized by counselling. We found weaknesses in the strategic analysis and objectives definitions for the strategic knowledge management in the studied or ganizations.(Spa) El presente artículo tiene como objetivo analizar los mecanismos de transferencia y gestión estratégica del conocimiento en empresas de seguridad y salud en el trabajo. Los autores bases considerados para el estudio son Davenport (6) y Molina y Marsal (8) . La investigación es descriptiva, con diseño no experimen - tal, transversal y de campo. Los resultados indican que la transferencia espontánea, está presente a través de las reuniones personales y la transferencia formalizada, se caracteriza por el desarrollo de asesorías. En cuanto a la gestión estratégica del conocimiento se presentan debilidades en el análisis estratégico y la definición de objetivos en las organizaciones analizadas

    Towards a Proof Theory of G\"odel Modal Logics

    Analytic proof calculi are introduced for box and diamond fragments of basic modal fuzzy logics that combine the Kripke semantics of modal logic K with the many-valued semantics of G\"odel logic. The calculi are used to establish completeness and complexity results for these fragments

    Mature HIV-1 viral particles assemble as a fullerene configuration comprising p24 capsid hexamers, pentamers and dimers. In this paper, we report the X-ray crystal structures of the p24 protein from natural HIV-1 strain (BMJ4) in complex with Fab A10F9, which recognizes a conserved epitope in the C-terminal domain of the BMJ4 p24 protein. Our structures reveal a novel shoulder-to-shoulder p24 dimerization mode that is mediated by an S-S bridge at C177. Consistent with these structures, the shoulder-to-shoulder dimer that was obtained from the BMJ4 strain was also observed in p24 proteins from other strains by the introduction of a cysteine residue at position 177. The potential biological significance was further validated by the introduction of a C177A mutation in the BMJ4 strain, which then displays a low infectivity. Our data suggest that this novel shoulder-to-shoulder dimer interface trapped by this unique S-S bridge could represent a physiologically relevant mode of HIV-1 capsid assembly during virus maturation, although Cys residue itself may not be critical for HIV-I replication
