Ključne riječi:The paper describes the production of steel tractor wheels big series. The analysis of production conducted at the company plans STARCO Beli Manastir, who works within the world-famous companies STARCO in Denmark. Below is a technology process of wheels and procedures that it covers. Steel wheel application and a variety of products, depending on their application, in a large range of dimensions. The use of steel wheels for agricultural machinery is irreplaceable with wheels made of other materials. The reason for this is the load they are exposed wheels of tractors, trailers, trailers machines for agriculture, special agricultural machinery and the like. STARCO steel wheels are the preferred choice in highly corrosive working environment - grassland soils, terrains with organic layers, such as leaves and grass, which are often beautiful and deposited on the machine and cause corrosion. STARCO Steel wheels are made with a unique corrosion protection that gives them an optimal prevention of corrosion

Modern society and economic development are completely dependent on various forms of energy while the ever-increasing demand for energy, in combination with significant environmental topics, has resulted in state-of-the-art ideas and solutions for fulfilling these often-contradictory goals, i.e. increasing efficiency or environmental protection and economic goal. The efficiency of the existing operating units for electricity production based on the usage of low-quality coal does not go hand in hand with the requirements of this new concept. One of the most efficient ways to reduce specific energy consumption is using Combined Heat and Power plants. In comparison to classical, separate heat and power plants, the advantage for CHP plants comes from their high efficiency. The result of higher efficiency is lower primary energy consumption and lower environmental pollution due to low values of CO2 emissions.Several revitalization configurations can be applied in order to fit the existing thermal power plants into combined cycles. The idea is to install, at the existing location, one gas turbine to increase the overall efficiency. This paper analyzes the potential of a combined gas-steam facility in the situation where the gas facility is used for heating feed water, which enters the heat recovery steam generator.A comparison of energy efficiency for various operating regimes, with and without heat production, is performed for this option.

Means of transport (vehicles) are a part of everyday life. The main purpose of the vehicles is to transport the goods and the passengers. The road traffic has the largest share in transport. Majority of the transport vehicles use the IC engine as a power unit. The application of engines driven by fossil fuels has caused the road traffic to exhibit its poor side in terms of harmful effect on environment and human health. The constant tightening of the legal regulations has led the engine manufacturers to continuously improve the IC engines. Determination of the exhaust emission parameters usually requires an experiment. The possibility of neural network application for pollutants concentration prediction in the exhaust gases from diesel engines based on experimental data is considered in this paper. Some inputs, not previously considered in the reviewed literature, are introduced into the developed model of the neural network. By comparison with experimental data, it was established that the developed neural network model can successfully predict concentration of pollutants and that it can be used for future research

CONTRIBUTION TO THE KNOWLEDGE OF PHYLLONORYCTER ISSIKII (KUMATA, 1963) (LEPIDOPTERA, GRACILLARIIDAE) IN SERBIA

Phyllonorycter issikii (Kumata, 1963) is an invasive leaf-mining moth originating from Asia. It develops on plants from the genus Tilia. The first finding of this species in Serbia was in 2013, and since then, the range of the species has spread, and we have found it at five more localities on T. cordata and T. tomentosa. Ph. issikii was studied at two of these localities. The existence of two overlapping generations was determined. No significant differences in the intensity of the attack between them were noticed. Differences existed only between the localities where the research was conducted and between the Tilia species on which Ph. issikii was found. As regards the lime species, the moth preferred T. cordata to T. tomentosa at both localities. Two species of parasitoids were reared from the collected material: Pediobius saulius (Walker, 1839) and Minotetrastichus frontalis (Nees, 1834)

Repeat expansions in microsatellites or dynamic mutations cause ~50 neurological diseases, known as repeat expansion diseases. Quantitative effect of the repeat number and inherent instability of dynamic mutations underlie unique features of these diseases, such as genetic anticipation – an earlier and more severe disease presentation in successive generations, and a pronounced variability in clinical presentation. Myotonic dystrophy type 1 (DM1) is caused by expansion of CTG repeats in DMPK gene, whose number is the main determinant of an extremely variable phenotype, making prognosis of the disease course challenging. A part of unexplained phenotype variability suggests the existence of disease modifiers. Variant repeats (CCG, CTC, CAG) are present in ~5% of patients and have been associated with unusual and/or milder symptoms than expected for a given expansion size. In this review, we provide an overview of types of variant repeats, clinical characteristics of patients, and mechanisms by which variant repeats modify DM1 phenotype. The key role is attributed to their stabilizing effect on DMPK expansions in the somatic cells, explaining a later age at symptoms onset, as well as in the germline cells, clarifying the absence of the most severe DM1 form in families with variant repeats. Additionally, we present our discovery of the methylation of CCG variant repeats, raising the question of the role of epigenetic mechanisms in the stabilization of DMPK locus. Current knowledge highlights the clinical relevance of variant repeats for genetic counseling and patient recruitment for clinical studies, and supports somatic instability of expansions as therapeutic targets

Primary pericardial mesothelioma is an extremely rare and lethal cardiac tumor. We report an autopsy case of a primary pericardial mesothelioma in a 52-year-old man. He developed dyspnea, cough, low-grade fever and night sweats approximately 3 months before last admission. Initially, he was evaluated at a hospital in another city, without a firm diagnosis. Due to progressive symptoms and the development of lower-extremity edema, he presented at our hospital in September 2005. The physical examination at admission demonstrated signs of pericardial tamponade. Chest radiography revealed marked enlargement of the cardiac silhouette. Specimens of bloody pericardial fluid were positive for pericardial mesothelioma by cytologic examination. The general condition of the patient worsened very rapidly and he was transferred to the intensive care unit where he later died. Postmortem examination confirmed primary pericardial mesothelioma of the mixed/biphasic type with lymphatic metastasis in the right lung. By using immunohistochemical analysis for specific markers of mesothelioma and for differentiation of the mesothelioma from the lung adenocarcinoma, definitive diagnosis was established: primary pericardial mesothelioma

The paper presents the work in progress towards the enhancement of features and increasing the comfort of usability of the multimedia guide for the War Museum of Niš under the Open Sky. Previously, this electronic guide was realized as a mobile application that informs visitors about the persons and events to which monuments in the city of Niš are dedicated. Visitors could access information about the monuments through a list of monuments or by using an interactive map with the location of the monuments marked. Presently, we are introducing a new module that will improve user experience through the usage of location-based services. The visitor's location is used by the Geolocation module to show the information about the nearby monument. The monument has to be inside of a predefined radius (e.g. 2 m or more) in order to activate the projection of the information about the monument

Phonon Contribution in Thermodynamics and Transport Properties of Ultrathin Ceramic Films

The dispersion law, density states of phonons, thermodynamics properties and thermal conductivity was analyzed in this paper. It has been shown that at low temperatures, thermal conductivity of thin film is considerably lower that of bulk-structure. It turned out that phonons in thin film require activation energy for exciting. This leads to extremely low specific heat and specific conductivity at low temperatures. Consequences of quoted facts were discussed in detail and their influence on kinetic and thermodynamic properties of thin films is estimated

CYTOMORPHOLOGY OF THE BULBAR CONJUNCTIVAL CELLS IN PATIENTS WITH DRY EYE

Dry eye is among the most common pathological conditions in ophthalmology. The aim of our study was to present possibilites of two different cytological methods for examination of cytomorphology of bulbar conjunctival cells- impression cytology (IC) and combined cytological method for scanning electron microscopy in the diagnosis  of dry eye (ICSEM). A hundred and twenty-two patients of both sexes, in different age groups, were analyzed by clinical method (slit lamp, Schirmer I, TBUT, Rose Bengal) and two cytomorphological methods – IC and ICSEM. In patients with dry eye, squamous metaplasia, inflammation and severe loss of adhesiveness of the epithelium were present. ICSEM gives an advantage in early diagnosis of changes, before the lesion of superficial conjunctival epithelium in patients with dry eye. The phenomenon of metaplasia appears in the epithelium of the bulbar conjunctiva in the absence of manifest dry eye and represents the basis for understanding the increased incidence of this syndrome in older patients with dry eye
