Ecological education in Literature lessons at university

Literature as an academic subject is characterized by rather wide possibilities of forming the right attitude to ecological issues. The purpose of the paper is to examine the ways of developing ecological culture in Literature lessons at university in the framework of online course “Ecological issues in Russian Literature”. The following tasks are set: to select the authors who actively develop environmental issues in their works, to introduce terminological vocabulary, to expand the range of ideas and create interdisciplinary research projects aimed at improving the environmental situation on the planet. The methodology of the study was based on a set of methods such as a research method, the comparative typological method, and the heuristic method. The course presents the nature in the following forms for the students to understand: a revengeful God (I. Bunin), a human-being himself (V. Astafyev’s, V. Rasputin), spiritual values (A. Solzhenitsyn), mythological creature (Ch. Aitmatov), the wildlife (V. Soloukhin, Y. Yevtushenko), freedom (Y. Yevtushenko). The description of real natural catastrophes presented by the authors (V. Rasputin, V. Astafyev, Ch. Aitmatov) plants the idea in the students’ minds that it is not allowed to destruct of nature for the sake of rapid scientific and technological progress

Electronic autoradiography of Ba-133 particle emissions; diffusion profiles in granitic rocks

The spatial distribution of barium activity in granitic rocks was measured with two autoradiography techniques; digital autoradiography using phosphor imaging plate technique (Fuji 5100) and filmless electronic autoradiography (i.e. The BeaQuant (TM)), which is based on a gas detector incorporated in a micromesh Parallel Ionization Multiplier (PIM). Rock cubes taken from a diffusion experiment that were in contact with Ba-133 tracer were measured to determine diffusion profiles. In addition, the spatial distribution of Ba-133 in the samples was determined. Polymethyl methacrylate standards for Ba-133 were developed to determine the counting efficiency for electronic autoradiography. Good visual correlation between the two autoradiography methods were obtained in this study. The results of the experiments presented here can be utilized in future studies on the diffusion behavior of barium in granitic rocks.Peer reviewe

Production of siderophores by Serratia marcescens and the role of MacAB efflux pump in siderophores secretion

Iron acquisition genes are among a few known virulence factors of S. marcescens. Siderophore export systems in Gram-negative bacteria are not fully understood. There is some evidence for involvement of efflux pumps in the export of synthesized enterobactin-like molecules. The goal of this study was to characterize siderophore production by two different strains of S. marcescens, SM6 and SR41-8000, and to evaluate the role of efflux pump MacAB in siderophore secretion by these strains. We showed that both strains produced siderophores in CAS agar assay. We further showed that both strains were able to secrete catecholate siderophores in response to iron starvation. MacAB efflux pump played a role in siderophore secretion of S. marcescens SR41-8000 strain but was dispensable for accumulation of these molecules in the culture supernatant of S. marcescens strain SM6

Данная дипломная работа состоит из трех частей. Часть I включает перевод рассказа Гость с Енисея / Gjest fra Jenisej Галины Сафоновой-Пирус с русского языка на норвежский язык. Часть II состоит из описания теоретических стратегий перевода и практических сложностей, возникающих при переводе. В данной части мне также хотелось бы остановиться на значениях текста и перевода, и что подразумевает под собой перевод текста. Также будут рассмотрены такие концепты, как эквивалент и уровни эквивалента. В процессе данного описание мне также хотелось бы рассмотреть сложности перевода текста Гость с Енисея и практическое применение предлагаемых стратегий при переводе данного текста. Часть III включает в себя исследование дискурсивных частиц вряд ли и ведь в контрастной русско-норвежской перспективе с использованием параллельного корпуса RuN. Прежде чем приступить к анализу данных корпуса, мне хотелось бы осветить несколько теоретических вопросов, имеющих непосредственное отношение к описанию частиц, в частности, связанных с такими терминами, как дискурс, семантическое значение, прагматическая функция и модальность. Данная часть также включает теорию, которая определяет частицы дискурса и дает динамический подход к их описанию, а также описание частиц вряд ли и ведь. Наконец, будут проанализированы трансляционные эквиваленты данных частиц на норвежском языке. Кроме того, будут проанализированы возможные сходства и различия семантических значений и прагматических функций данных частиц
