    ABSTRACT Deaf according to Indro Soetirto and Jenny Bashiruddin is loss of hearing caused by loud enough and long enough noise. Noise is defined by physicist as a voice which is caused by acoustics waves with random intensity and frequency, while according to Indro Sutirto and Jenny Bashiruddin, noise is undesirable sound and in audio logic is pure tone mixture with various frequency. The fact that workers at place with environment like blacksmith, railway maker, and weaver, industry, step by step suffers from deafness after works through years. Problem generated by noise increasing, so protection program of hearing in industry should be done. Therefore, control noise is needed to prevent from deaf in the workplace. ABSTRAK Tuli menurut Indro Indro Soetirto dan Jenny Bashiruddin adalah kehilangan pendengaran oleh karena bising yang sangat dan lama. Bising didefinisikan sebagai suara yang disebabkan oleh getaran akustik dengan berbagai intensitas dan frekuensi, dimana menurut Indro Sutirto dan Jenny Bashiruddin, bising adalah bunyi yang tidak diharapkan. Fakta bahwa pekerja yang berada dalam lingkungan bising seperti tukang pandai besi, pekerja yang bekerja di rel kereta api, industri, sedikit demi sedikit akan mengalami ketulian setelah bekerja selama beberapa tahun. Masalah yang timbul akibat ketulian terus meningkat, jadi program proteksi pekerja yang bekerja di lingkungan bising harus dilakukan, yaitu dengan pembatasan kebisingan

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh iklim organisasi terhadap kepuasan kerja dan komitmen karyawan pada Universitas Muhammadiyah Tangerang. Metode yang digunakan adalah survei. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan kuesioner yang dibagikan kepada 93 karyawan di UMT menggunakan sampel jenuh (sensus). Structural Equation Model (SEM) digunakan untuk menguji hipotesis menggunakan perangkat lunak SmartPLS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa iklim organisasi tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap komitmen karyawan. Namun, iklim organisasi memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja.Kata kunci: iklim organisasi, kepuasan kerja, komitmen karyawan, SEM, SmartPL

    Construction of a Ge-BGO Compton Suppression Gamma-ray Spectrometer and Its Application to Environmental Samples. Part 1: The System of the Spectrometer and Its Basic Performance

    ABSTRACT In order to develop a very high sensitive Ge gamma-ray spectrometer, a Compton suppression gamma-ray spectrometer with a BGO guard detector system has been constructed. The BGO detector system detects 88% of the gamma-rays from 60Co that are committing to the principle of the suppression system. Peak-to-Compton ratio for the 661 keV gamma-rays from 137Cs has been improved from 128 to 786 with the Compton suppression spectroscopy. By the development of the spectrometer the minimum acceptable radioactivity of 137Cs has been improved from 0.091 Bq to 0.044 Bq with the coeficient of variation of 30% and measurement time of 8 hours. ABSTRAK Untuk mengembangkan spektrometer sinar-X Ge dengan kepekaan yang sangat tinggi, telah dibuat sebuah sistem spektrometer sinar-X penindas Compton dengan menggunakan detektor pelindung BGO. Sistem detektor BGO mendeteksi 88%. sinar gamma dari 60Co yang digunakan dalam prinsip sistem penindas. Peak-to-Compton ratio untuk sinar gamma berenergi 661 keV dari 137CS telah diperbaiki dari 128 menjadi 786 dengan spektroskopi penindas Compton. Melalui pengembangan spektrometer ini radioaktivitas 137Cs minimum yang dapat diterima meningkat dari 0.091 Bq menjadi 0.044 Bq dengan koefisien variasi 30%. dan waktu pengukuran 8 jam.

    ABSTRACT Radiocarbon dating is a method of nuclear technique for obtaining age estimates on organic materials. Determination of wood (from Horyuji Shrine) and coral sample (from JCAC area) is due in Japan Chemical Analysis Center in the frame of Instructor Training Program. It uses SRM 4990C, wood and marble blanks. Preparation of samples, standard, and blanks is due by benzene synthesis method. Chemical Yield of preparation was 86,8%. Liquid scintillator is added and counted using Liquid Scintillation Counter (LSC) Wallac 1220 Quantulus at least 10 hours. The result of wood age is (1204 ± 37) years (BP) and coral age is (160 ± 45) years (BP) in term of confidence level 68%.   ABSTRAK Radiocarbon Dating merupakan salah satu aplikasi teknik nuklir yang digunakan untuk menentukan umur suatu obyek. Penentuan umur dengan metode tersebut terhadap sampel kayu (dari kuil Horyuji) dan kulit kerang (dari hasil penggalian di area JCAC) dilakukan di Japan Chemical Analysis Center dalam kerangka Instructor Training Program. Dalam penentuan tersebut digunakan standar SRM 4990C, blanko kayu dan kapur. Preparasi sample, standard dan blanko dilakukan dengan metode sintesis benzene. Kedapatulangan proses preparasi sebesar 86,8%. Benzene yang dihasilkan ditambah sintilator cair dan dilakukan pengukuran menggunakan Pencacah Sintilasi Cair Wallac 1220 Quantulus selama minimum 10 jam. Didapatkan umur dari kayu (1204 ± 37) tahun dan umur dari kulit kerang (7160 ± 45) tahun, dengan tingkat kepercayaan 68%

    Optimal Overhaul-Replacement Policies for Repairable Machine Sold with Warranty

    This research deals with an overhaul-replacement policy for a repairable machine sold with Free Replacement Warranty (FRW). The machine will be used for a finite horizon, T (T <ï‚¥), and evaluated at a fixed interval, s (s< T). At each evaluation point, the buyer considers three alternative decisions i.e. Keep the machine, Overhaul it, or Replace it with a new identical one. An overhaul can reduce the machine age virtually, but not to a point that the machine is as good as new. If the machine fails during the warranty period, it is rectified at no cost to the buyer. Any failure occurring before and after the expiry of the warranty is restored by minimal repair. An overhaul-replacement policy is formulated for such machines by using dynamic programming approach to obtain the buyer's optimal policy. The results show that a significant rejuvenation effect due to overhaul may extend the length of machine life cycle and delay the replacement decision. In contrast, the warranty stimulates early machine replacement and by then increases the replacement frequencies for a certain range of replacement cost. This demonstrates that to minimize the total ownership cost over T the buyer needs to consider the minimal repair cost reduction due to rejuvenation effect of overhaul as well as the warranty benefit due to replacement. Numerical examples are presented for both illustrating the optimal policy and describing the behavior of the optimal solution

    Pengujian Pengukuran Aktivitas Sampel Secara Absolut Dengan Metode Sumpeak

    ABSTRAK Penentuan aktivitas sampel dapat dilakukan secara relatif maupun absolut. Salah satu cara absolut tersebut adalah dengan metode sumpeak. Pengukuran aktivitas sampel secara absolut dengan metode sumpeak dilakukan terhadap radionuklida Na-22 dan Co-60 menggunakan spektrometer gamma dengan detektor HPGe. Dari perhitungan diperoleh aktivitas sampel Na-22 sebesar 8642 Bq ± 1.85%. Sedangkan sampel Co-60, dilakukan 2 kali pengukuran dengan waktu pengukuran yang berbeda dan diperoleh hasilnya sebesar 54185.93 Bq ± 3.45% dan 60084.45 Bq ± 2.32%. Hasil yang diperoleh untuk Na-22 berada dalam rentang perhitungan aktivitas Na-22 berdasarkan sertifikatnya. Sedangkan untuk Co-60, kedua hasil pengukuran tersebut ternyata d luar rentang aktivitas Co-60 berdasarkan sertifikatnya. Perlu dilakukan penelitian lebih lanjut khususnya untuk radionuklida Co-60, sehingga diperoleh hasil yang diharapkan
