Breve historia y largo futuro del ebook

The study of the book overflows the boundaries of a single discipline as it is based on Economics, Sociology, Literature; the study of the electronic book (ebook) also inexcusably on technology. Its story has just begun but its development has been rapid, driven by technological advances that make it progress in hypermedia writing, publishing and digital marketing and devices for reading. Its future depends on these factors and it is not written, nor the effects that occur in society.El estudio del libro desborda los límites de una sola disciplina ya que se apoya en la economía, la sociología, la literatura; el del libro electrónico (ebook), inexcusablemente también en la tecnología. Su historia acaba de empezar aunque su desarrollo ha sido muy rápido, impulsado por los avances tecnológicos que le hacen progresar en la escritura hipermedia, en la edición y comercialización digital y en los dispositivos para su lectura. Su futuro pende de estos factores y no está escrito, como tampoco los efectos que producirá en la sociedad

[ES] El presente trabajo se trata de una revisión bibliográfica de cirugías de tumores en pacientes despiertos para obtener un conocimiento actualizado sobre la técnica quirúrgica y los dos métodos anestésicos más utilizados: Dormido-despierto-dormido y Cuidados anestésicos monitorizados con la Dexmedetomidina. Además, se ha analizado la casuística en el Hospital Universitario de Álava desde la implementación de la técnica

El libro electrónico, una gran herramienta para la cultura y la educación

El libro electrónico está transformando profundamente el ámbito editorial. Establece una nueva manera de escribir, leer y organizar los fondos bibliográficos, piezas clave en la cultura y la educación del ciudadano (Armañanzas 2000a). A pesar del temor al libro electrónico (Birkerts 1999), éste ofrece una gran oportunidad para la alfabetización de las personas de todas las edades. Como otros medios que nos construyen a nosotros mismos y a la sociedad (Pérez Tornero 1996), el eBook se suma a otras herramientas y recursos de comunicación (Cabero, Llorente y Román 2004 y Pérez Tornero 2010a) que nos facilitan el acceso a la información que habremos de convertir después en conocimiento (Armañanzas 2000b).The electronic book is profoundly changing the publishing field. Establishes a new way to write, read and organize the library collection, key pieces in the culture and education of citizens (Armañanzas 2000a). Despite the fear of the electronic book (Birkerts 1999), it offers a great opportunity for literacy for people of all ages. As other media which build ourselves and society (Pérez Tornero 1996), the eBook joins other communication tools and resources (Cabero, Llorente, Roman 2004 and Pérez Tornero 2010a) that provide us access to information that we will convert it into knowledge (Armañanzas 2000b)

Docencia del ciberperiodismo: estrategias para una simulación eficaz

The implementation of the Bologna Process (European Area of Higher Education) is a renewal of Journalism curriculum, taught in the Faculty of Communication. Among other aspects, in particular the strengthening of the subjects engaged in online journalism, understood as that developed by the journalist working in the online media. It also implies a pedagogical renewal that still shows weaknesses. The speed of technological, social behaviors and online journalism changes add complexity –also experimentation -for teachers and students. We try to identify common problems and shortcomings in teaching online journalism al University to reflect and propose strategies that lead to greater approximation of online journalism profession.La implantación del Plan Bolonia, en el marco del Espacio Europeo de Educación Superior, supone una renovación de los planes de estudio de Periodismo, impartidos en las Facultades de Comunicación. Entre otros aspectos, se concreta en un reforzamiento de las asignaturas dedicadas al ciberperiodismo, entendido como el desarrollado por el periodista que trabaja en y para los medios online. Implica también una renovación pedagógica que aún muestra carencias. La rapidez de los cambios tecnológicos y de comportamientos sociales y profesionales del ciberperiodismo reportan un plus de complejidad –también de experimentación- para docentes y alumnos. Tratamos de identificar las dificultades y carencias comunes en la docencia del periodismo online con el fin de reflexionar y proponer estrategias que lleven a una mayor aproximación de las aulas a la profesión ciberperiodística

Gas-Phase and Microsolvated Glycine Interacting with Boron Nitride Nanotubes : a B3LYP-D2* Periodic Study

The adsorption of glycine (Gly) both in gas-phase conditions and in a microsolvated state on a series of zig-zag (n,0) single-walled boron nitride nanotubes (BNNTs, n = 4, 6, 9 and 15) has been studied by means of B3LYP-D2* periodic calculations. Gas-phase Gly is found to be chemisorbed on the (4,0), (6,0) and (9,0) BNNTs by means of a dative interaction between the NH2 group of Gly and a B atom of the BNNTs, whose computed adsorption energies are gradually decreased by increasing the tube radius. On the (15,0) BNNT, Gly is found to be physisorbed with an adsorption driving force mainly dictated by π-stacking dispersion interactions. Gly adsorption in a microsolvated environment has been studied in the presence of seven water molecules by progressively microsolvating the dry Gly/BNNT interface. The most stable structures on the (6,0), (9,0) and (15,0) BNNTs present the Gly/BNNT interface fully bridged by the water solvent molecules; i.e., no direct contact between Gly and the BNNTs takes place, whereas on the (4,0) BNNT the most stable structure presents a unique direct interaction between the COO− Gly group and a B atom of the nanotube. Further energetic analyses indicate that the (6,0), (9,0) and (15,0) BNNTs exhibit a low water affinity, which favors the Gly/water interactions upon BNNT coadsorption. In contrast, the (4,0) BNNT has been found to show a large water affinity, bringing the replacement of adsorbed water by a microsolvated glycine molecule as an unfavorable process
