    “Outdoor training como metodología para potenciar la inteligencia emocional en niños y adolescentes”

    Currently the talent is the key word for any type of organization or institution. Supported by a change of mentality, which coincides with the entry of the century, the investigations begin to question the IQ (intelligence quotient) as the predominant factor in achieving social and professional success , going to defend the EQ (emotional quotient). Thus, we advocate processing in children and young people to equip them with differentiating competencies to develop talents. Outdoor Training, which places individuals in natural settings outside their comfort zone, has proved to be a methodology that enables better and faster learning than the traditional method. In this workshop we intend to demonstrate how socio-emotional skills can be worked in children and young people using this methodology. It will be developed four outdoor activities that allow participants to go through the experience and be able to assess the relevance and impact of this methodology. The workshop will be conduct with a maximum of 30 people, outdoor environment (off living classroom, on the grounds of the university). A team of researchers in the area of outdoor training and emotional intelligence will energized the workshop on the ground. The workshop will be evaluated through interviews and questionnaires of assessment.Actualmente el talento es palabra clave para cualquier tipo de organización e institución. Apoyados por un cambio de mentalidad, que coincide con la entrada del siglo XXI, las investigaciones comienzan a poner en duda el CI (coeficiente de inteligencia) como factor predominante para alcanzar éxito social y profesional, pasando a defender el CE (coeficiente emocional). Así, defendemos su perfeccionamiento en niños y jóvenes para dotarlos de competencias diferenciadoras y así poder desarrollar talentos.  El Outdoor Training, que coloca a los individuos en contextos naturales fuera de su zona de conforto, se ha mostrado como una metodología que permite mayor eficacia y rapidez de aprendizaje que el modelo tradicional. En este taller pretendemos demostrar cómo se pueden trabajar competencias socioemocionales en niños y jóvenes utilizando esta metodología. Iremos a desarrollar cuatro actividades de outdoor que permitan a los participantes pasar por la experiencia y así poder evaluar la pertinencia y el impacto de esta metodología. El taller será realizado con un máximo de 24 personas, en ambiente outdoor (fuera de sala de aula, en los jardines de la universidad). Un equipo de investigadores del área de outdoor training e inteligencia emocional irá a dinamizar el taller en el terreno. El taller será evaluado por medio de entrevistas y cuestionarios de apreciación

    Decreased dentin tubules density and reduced thickness of peritubular dentin in hyperbilirubinemia-related green teeth

    It is stated anecdotally that patients with liver diseases in childhood who develop green teeth have increased risk for rampant caries, which may be secondary to changes in dental structure. The aim of this study was to test the hypothesis that hyperbilirubinemia affects the dentin morphology of green teeth. Sixteen primary teeth were prepared and divided into two groups (green teeth, n = 8 and control, n = 8), which were transversely fractured across the cervical third of the dental crowns; dentin was prepared and sputter-coated with gold, and examined under a scanning electron microscope. The mean density and mean diameter of dentin tubules, as well as the thickness of peritubular dentin, were compared. Hyperbilirubinemia was associated with a decrease in the density of the dentin tubules (p< .01) and the thickness of peritubular dentin of green teeth (p< .01). There was a correlation between childhood hyperbilirubinemia and changes in the dentin morphology, including a decrease in the density of the dentin tubules and a reduction in the thickness of peritubular dentin in green teeth

    As disparidades socioeconômicas observáveis em todas as regiões do planeta convergiram em uma crise civilizatória em que a existência passa a ser orientada por uma lógica parametrizada pela acumulação e reprodução ampliada do capital. Este estudo traz ao debate novas práticas sociais assentes na reprodução social advinda de iniciativas independentes e relativamente bem-sucedidas que apontam caminhos inovadores a partir do conceito de ecossocioeconomias para captar a gênese das experimentações do cotidiano das cidades. Esta pesquisa é qualitativa, descritiva, interpretativa e abrange três casos de diferentes regiões do país: no Sul, as experiências das feiras livres; no Norte, o turismo de base comunitária; e no Nordeste, os coletivos culturais.     O objetivo do presente trabalho foi avaliar a expressão das proteínas recombinantes NS1 e EDIII do DENV-2 produzidas em plataforma bacteriana (Escherichia coli). Bactérias contendo os genes de interesses foram crescidas e induzidas à expressão em diferentes concentrações de IPTG (0,1 mM; 0,5 mM e 1,0 mM), em seguida, foram solubilizadas em solução contendo 8 M de úreia. As proteínas solúveis foram purificadas por cromatografia de afinidade em coluna de resina Ni-NTA e, posteriormente, quantificadas em aparelho de nanodrop. Ao fim, foram obtidos aproximadamente 63 mg/L para ambas as proteínas. Nossos resultados mostraram que é possível expressar proteínas de interesse em sistema procarioto. Entretanto, faz-se necessário expandir a escala de produção dessas proteínas visando utilização em ensaios de imunodiagnósticos

    Search for nonpointing and delayed photons in the diphoton and missing transverse momentum final state in 8 TeV pppp collisions at the LHC using the ATLAS detector

    A search has been performed, using the full 20.3  fb-1 data sample of 8 TeV proton-proton collisions collected in 2012 with the ATLAS detector at the LHC, for photons originating from a displaced vertex due to the decay of a neutral long-lived particle into a photon and an invisible particle. The analysis investigates the diphoton plus missing transverse momentum final state, and is therefore most sensitive to pair production of long-lived particles. The analysis technique exploits the capabilities of the ATLAS electromagnetic calorimeter to make precise measurements of the flight direction, as well as the time of flight, of photons. No excess is observed over the Standard Model predictions for background. Exclusion limits are set within the context of gauge mediated supersymmetry breaking models, with the lightest neutralino being the next-to-lightest supersymmetric particle and decaying into a photon and gravitino with a lifetime in the range from 250 ps to about 100 ns.Peer Reviewe

    Measurement of the dependence of transverse energy production at large pseudorapidity on the hard-scattering kinematics of proton-proton collisions at s=2.76\sqrt{s} = 2.76 TeV with ATLAS

    The relationship between jet production in the central region and the underlying-event activity in a pseudorapidity-separated region is studied in 4.0 pb1^{-1} of s=2.76\sqrt{s} = 2.76 TeV pppp collision data recorded with the ATLAS detector at the LHC. The underlying event is characterised through measurements of the average value of the sum of the transverse energy at large pseudorapidity downstream of one of the protons, which are reported here as a function of hard-scattering kinematic variables. The hard scattering is characterised by the average transverse momentum and pseudorapidity of the two highest transverse momentum jets in the event. The dijet kinematics are used to estimate, on an event-by-event basis, the scaled longitudinal momenta of the hard-scattered partons in the target and projectile beam-protons moving toward and away from the region measuring transverse energy, respectively. Transverse energy production at large pseudorapidity is observed to decrease with a linear dependence on the longitudinal momentum fraction in the target proton and to depend only weakly on that in the projectile proton. The results are compared to the predictions of various Monte Carlo event generators, which qualitatively reproduce the trends observed in data but generally underpredict the overall level of transverse energy at forward pseudorapidity.Peer Reviewe

    Search for dark matter in association with a Higgs boson decaying to bb-quarks in pppp collisions at s=13\sqrt s=13 TeV with the ATLAS detector

    A search for dark matter pair production in association with a Higgs boson decaying to a pair of bottom quarks is presented, using 3.2 fb −1 of pp collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 13 TeV collected by the ATLAS detector at the LHC. The decay of the Higgs boson is reconstructed as a high-momentum bb¯ system with either a pair of small-radius jets, or a single large-radius jet with substructure. The observed data are found to be consistent with the expected backgrounds. Results are interpreted using a simplified model with a Z′ gauge boson mediating the interaction between dark matter and the Standard Model as well as a two-Higgs-doublet model containing an additional Z′ boson which decays to a Standard Model Higgs boson and a new pseudoscalar Higgs boson, the latter decaying into a pair of dark matter particles.Peer Reviewe

    Search for dark matter in events with heavy quarks and missing transverse momentum in pppp collisions with the ATLAS detector

    This article reports on a search for dark matter pair production in association with bottom or top quarks in 20.3 fb120.3 \mathrm {~fb}^{-1} of pppp collisions collected at s=8\sqrt{s} = 8  TeV by the ATLAS detector at the LHC. Events with large missing transverse momentum are selected when produced in association with high-momentum jets of which one or more are identified as jets containing bb -quarks. Final states with top quarks are selected by requiring a high jet multiplicity and in some cases a single lepton. The data are found to be consistent with the Standard Model expectations and limits are set on the mass scale of effective field theories that describe scalar and tensor interactions between dark matter and Standard Model particles. Limits on the dark-matter–nucleon cross-section for spin-independent and spin-dependent interactions are also provided. These limits are particularly strong for low-mass dark matter. Using a simplified model, constraints are set on the mass of dark matter and of a coloured mediator suitable to explain a possible signal of annihilating dark matter.Peer Reviewe

    Measurement of W+WW^+W^- production in pp collisions at s\sqrt{s}=7  TeV with the ATLAS detector and limits on anomalous WWZ and WWγ couplings

    This paper presents a measurement of the W^+W^- production cross section in pp collisions at sqrt{s}=7 TeV. The leptonic decay channels are analyzed using data corresponding to an integrated 4.6 fb-1 collected with the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider. The W^+W^- production cross section sigma(pp -> W^+W^-+X) is measured to be 51.9 +- 2.0 (stat) +- 3.9 (syst) +- 2.0 (lumi) pb, compatible with the Standard Model prediction of 44.7 +2.1 -1.9 pb. A measurement of the normalized fiducial cross section as a function of the leading lepton transverse momentum is also presented. The reconstructed transverse momentum distribution of the leading lepton is used to extract limits on anomalous WWZ and WWgamma couplings.Peer Reviewe
