    Production of Graphene By Coconut Shell As an Electrode Primary Battery Cell

    Abstract: Coconut shells are a natural resource that contains a lot of carbon (C). The pyrolysis process can be used to create coconut shells. A single layer of carbon atoms that have undergone sp2 hybridization to form a hexagonal, two-dimensional structure is known as Graphene. Graphene has excellent potential for battery manufacturing applications, supercapacitors, etc. Activated carbon and the pyrolisis method of producing Graphene were combined and heated to 600 oC for one hour. The graphene generated is assessed using an XRD, SEM-EDX, TEM, Raman, and conductometer. The results of the X-ray diffractogram analysis revealed that the peaks at 2θ = 23,87o and 44,5o are not particularly sharp and slightly broadened. It means Graphene are well formed. SEM-EDX investigation reveals that the surface size and shape structure is smaller and thinner, a flat pile dominated by carbon atoms. The result of conductometer analysis shows the electrical conductivity of Graphene is quite good, but Graphene can still not control the movement of electrons. Graphene has layer distances between Graphene and Graphene layers are 3.3 Å (TEM data), with many Graphene layers being 0.85 (multi-layer) (Raman data).Abstrak: Batok kelapa merupakan salah satu sumber daya alam yang mengandung banyak karbon (C). Proses pirolisis dapat digunakan untuk membuat batok kelapa. Satu lapisan atom karbon yang telah mengalami hibridisasi sp2 untuk membentuk struktur dua dimensi heksagonal dikenal sebagai Grafena. Grafena memiliki potensi besar untuk aplikasi pembuatan baterai, superkapitasitor, dan sebagainya. Karbon aktif dengan metode pirolisis untuk memproduksi Grafena dipanaskan hingga 600 oC selama satu jam. Grafena yang dihasilkan dikarakterisasi menggunakan XRD, SEM-EDX, TEM, Raman, and Konductometer. Hasil analisis difraktogram sinar-X mengungkapkan bahwa puncak pada 2θ = 24,22o dan 44o tidak terlalu tajam dan sedikit melebar. Ini berarti Grafena terbentuk dengan baik. Analisis SEM-EDX mengungkapkan bahwa ukuran permukaan dan struktur bentuk lebih kecil dan lebih tipis dan itu adalah tumpukan datar yang didominasi oleh atom karbon. Hasil analisis konduktometer menunjukkan konduktivitas listrik Grafena cukup baik, namun Grafena masih belum mampu mengontrol pergerakan elektron. Grafena memiliki jarak lapisan antara lapisan  Grafena dan Grafena adalah 3,3 Å (data TEM) dengan jumlah lapisan Grafena adalah 0,85 (multilapisan) (data Raman)

    The Effect of Capital Structure, Profitability and Dividend Policy on Intrinsic Value of Firm

    Objectives: To investigate the effect of capital structure, profitability and dividend policy to intrinsic value of firm on property and real estate companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange.Method/Analysis: The data of this study are analyzed using path analysis at alpha 5%. The population of this study are the property and real estate sector companies listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange from period 2013 to 2015 and the sample are 51 companies. Capital structure and profitability as independent variable, dividend policy as intervening variable and intrinsic value of firm as dependent variable which is the present value of projected free cash flow to firm.Findings: The result of the study finds that capital structure and profitability have significant effect on intrinsic value of firm. Dividend policy have no significant effect on intrinsic value of firm. The results also show that dividend policy is not a mediating variable between capital structure and profitability to intrinsic value of firm.     Objectives: To examine the influence cash conversion cycle, capital structure and profitability to intrinsic value on consumer goods company in Indonesia Stock Exchange Method/ Analysis: The paper usepath analysis to analyze cross-sectional data covering 30 consumer goods company listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange for period 2012 to 2015. cash conversion cycle and capital structure as independent variable, instrinsic value as dependent variable and profitability as intervening variable. this study use free cash flow to firm valuation to calculate intrinsic value, total debt to total asset to calculate capital structure and return on asset to calculate profitability. Findings: This study found that capital structure and profitability significantly affect direct to intrinsic value, cash conversion cycle not significantly affect direct to intrinsic value, cash conversion cycle and profitability significantly affect indirectly to intrinsic value using profitability as variable intervening at alpha 5%. This show that cash conversion cycle not directly affect to profitability, and this profitability will affect intrinsic value. this study may be useful for student, financial manager, investor, financial consultant, appraisal and many other stakeholder in Indonesia so they can more aware about efficiency of cash conversion cycle, capital structure, profitability to intrinsic value.     Influence of Intellectual Capital and Dividend Policy on the Investment Opportunity Set And The Company Intrinsic Value In The Foreign Capital Companies Indonesia Stock Exchange

    This study aims to analyze the influence of intellectual capital and dividend policy on the company intrinsic value with investment opportunity as intervening variable. Intellectual capital is proxied with Value Added Intellectual Capital (VAICTM), dividend policy is proxied with dividend yield, Investment Opportunity Set (IOS) is proxied with market to book asset ratio and intrinsic value of company is proxied with net present value from projection of Free Cash Flow to Firm (FCFF). The sample in this research is 31 Foreign Capital Investment companies in 2015. The result of research at first substructure at alpha 5%, indicate that intellectual capital have a significant positive effect and dividend policy has significant negative effect to investment opportunity set. Intellectual capital and dividend policy simultaneously affect the investment opportunity set. The second substructure research results at alpha 5%, indicating that intellectual capital and investment opportunities set have a significant positive effect on the intrinsic value of the company, but dividend policy has no effect and insignificant to the intrinsic value of the company. In addition, the three variables simultaneously affect the intrinsic value of the firm. So from the results of the study as a whole showed that intellectual capital directly and indirectly affect the intrinsic value of the company; Dividend policy only has an indirect effect on intrinsic value of the company.     The Influence of Capital Structure, Growth Opportunity and Profitability at Mining Companies in Indonesia

    Objectives: The purpose of this research is to examine the influence of capital structure and growth opportunity on profitability as well as intrinsic value of mining company in Indonesia Stock Exchange.Methods/Analysis: The data for this research is analyzed through path analysis. The population of this research is mining companies listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange in period 2013-2015. The target population that meets the research criteria is 32 mining companies. Capital structure and growth opportunity as independent variable, profitability as intervening variable, and the intrinsic value of the company as dependent variable which is the net present value of projected free cash flow to firm (FCFF).Findings:The results of this analysis show that, capital structure and profitability partially have significant influence on intrinsic value of the company, while growth opportunity does not partially influence on intrinsic value of the company significantly. Moreover, profitability cannot mediate the relationship between capital structure and intrinsic value of the company; and profitability can mediate the relationship between growth opportunity and intrinsic value of the company at alpha 5%.     Fabrication of silica-based chitosan biocomposite material from volcanic ash and shrimp husk by sol gel method for adsorbent of cadmium (II) Ions

    387-394The utilization of volcanic ash and shrimp shell waste into composite material is very interesting to discuss as a strategy to make naturally available materials into valuable, stable and low cost adsorbent. The study is aimed to fabricate the silica-based chitosan biocomposite material from volcanic ash of Sinabung mountain and shrimp husk by sol gel method to be used as an adsorbent. The procedure is performed by converting volcanic ash into silica salt, extracting the chitosan from shrimp skeleton, and the synthesis of the silica-chitosan biocomposite by mixing the silica with chitosan in the aid of bifunctional glutaraldehyde cross-linking agent. The silica-based chitosan composite is successfully prepared from the mixture of 20 mL 58% (v/v) Na2SiO3 with 2% (w/v) chitosan to obtain biocomposite material (SChC1). A rapid and simple method to bind the silica with chitosan is achieved. The resulting biocomposite is amorphous, in the form of small crystals, a rough surface with a large pore area between 2θ = 20-24°. Adsorption capacity of the biocomposite material has been evaluated, where it has the capability to bind cadmium ion due to the presence of amine group in the material surface.     Methamphetamine or N-methyl-alpha-methyl phenethyl amine is a powerful central nervous system stimulant drug that has an addictive effect when consumed. The number of cases of drug abuse in Indonesia in the last year is most dominated by methamphetamine so that an accurate analysis is needed to detect these compounds. Qualitative rapid detection can be done with marquis reagents which will produce a yellowish green if it is positive for consuming methamphetamine. Student urine samples were extracted with chloroform to separate to form two layers. The top layer filtrate was tested by Marquis reagents. From the test results found no positive Methamphentamine in the urine of class XI IPA students

    Application of coconut battery waste to graphic as an alternative electrode on primary battery cells

    Coconut shell is one of the potential biomass as carbon sources. Coconut shell is converted to charcoal through the carbonization process. The potential of charcoal from coconut shells can be synthesized into graphene. Graphene is a derivative of one of the carbon allotropes, namely graphite, where carbon is in the form of thin plates with sp2 orbitals arranged hexagonally. The process of making graphene which is coconut shell dried in the sun then pyrolysis into charcoal then mixed with activated carbon as a reducing agent at 600 ° C for 1 hour to produce graphene. The graphene produced is characterized by X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), Scanning Electron Microscope-Energy Dispersive X-Ray (SEM-EDX). The results by XRD analysis showed the resulting peaks were not sharp and slightly widened at the diffraction peaks at 24 ° and 44 °. The results of SEM-EDX analysis at 4000x magnification show the surface size and shape of the structure that is smaller, thinner and reduced buildup on the graphene structure. graphene that has been successfully synthesized was tested on a coin battery.     Produksi Biodiesel dari Minyak Biji Jarak Pagar (Jatropha curcas L.)

    Penelitian tentang pengaruh variasi konsentrasi metanol terhadap sifat fisika-kimia biodiesel dari minyak biji jarak pagar (Jatropha curcas L.) telah dilakukan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh variasi konsentrasi metanol terhadap sifat fisikakimia biodiesel dan menentukan konsentrasi efektif metanol pada pengujian sifat fisika-kimia biodiesel. Pembuatan biodiesel dilakukan dengan proses esterifikasi dan transesterifikasi. Sifat fisika-kimia yang diuji dalam penelitian ini yaitu: kerapatan, kekentalan dan bilangan asam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya pengaruh variasi konsentrasi metanol terhadap sifat fisika-kimia biodiesel dimana proses esterifikasi dan transesterifikasi mampu mengkonversi asam lemak bebas dan trigliserida menjadi metil ester. Analisis keragaman dan uji BNT menunjukkan konsentrasi efektif metanol untuk meningkatkan mutu biodiesel yaitu 30 % dengan kerapatan sebesar 0,8802 mg/l dan bilangan asam sebesar 4,72 mg KOH/g serta kekentalan sebesar 6,32 mm2/s
