O início da docência em pesquisas brasileiras: reflexões e apontamentos

The article is configured as a bibliographical survey research and analyzed over 200 dissertations and theses available in digital libraries and defended between 1983 and 2019. Without the purpose of being a state-of-the-art work, it is another survey from other sources, adding to the surveys previously undertaken. Therefore, the article highlights the most cited authors, the dominant theoretical trends, the most studied themes, and those still silenced. Based on the results found, it is possible to identify: a) a strong prevalence of the epistemology of practice as the main epistemological strand for the analysis of this period; b) numerous studies that present the characteristics of this initial moment, highlighting the fact that it is a period marked by intense learning in diverse and adverse contexts; c) the emergence of themes such as the relations between this phase of the career and the initial training programs; d) the analysis of policies for entering the teaching profession in some education networks. The text concludes by pointing out issues that are still silenced or little researched, such as, for example, the cleavages of race and gender as important elements for the understanding of this moment of professional initiation.El artículo se configura como una investigación de encuesta bibliográfica y analiza más de 200 disertaciones y tesis disponibles en bibliotecas digitales y defendidas entre 1983 y 2019. Sin la intención de configurarse como una obra de vanguardia, se trata de una encuesta más de otras fuentes, que se suma a las realizadas anteriormente. Por lo tanto, el artículo destaca los autores más citados, las tendencias teóricas dominantes, los temas más estudiados y los que siguen siendo silenciados. Desde de los resultados encontrados, es posible identificar: a) un fuerte predominio de la epistemología de la práctica como principal vertiente epistemológica para el análisis de este periodo; b) numerosos estudios que presentan las características de este momento inicial, destacando el hecho de que se trata de un periodo marcado por intenso aprendizaje en contextos diversos y adversos; c) el surgimiento de temas como la relación entre esta fase de la carrera y los programas de formación inicial; d) el análisis de las políticas de ingreso a la docencia en algunas redes educativas. El texto concluye señalando cuestiones aún silenciadas o poco investigadas como, por ejemplo, las segmentaciones de raza y género como elementos importantes para la comprensión de este momento de iniciación profesional.O artigo configura-se como pesquisa de levantamento bibliográfico e analisou mais de 200 dissertações e teses disponíveis nas bibliotecas digitais, defendidas entre 1983 e 2019. Enabling IoT in Manufacturing: from device to the cloud

Industrial automation platforms are experiencing a paradigm shift. With the new technol-ogies and strategies that are being applied to enable a synchronization of the digital and real world, including real-time access to sensorial information and advanced networking capabilities to actively cooperate and form a nervous system within the enterprise, the amount of data that can be collected from real world and processed at digital level is growing at an exponential rate. Indeed, in modern industry, a huge amount of data is coming through sensorial networks em-bedded in the production line, allowing to manage the production in real-time. This dissertation proposes a data collection framework for continuously collecting data from the device to the cloud, enabling resources at manufacturing industries shop floors to be handled seamlessly. The framework envisions to provide a robust solution that besides collecting, transforming and man-aging data through an IoT model, facilitates the detection of patterns using collected historical sensor data. Industrial usage of this framework, accomplished in the frame of the EU C2NET project, supports and automates collaborative business opportunities and real-time monitoring of the production lines

NEREU Project: Construction of a Plasma Reactor for Reform of Greenhouse Gases for Treatment of Wastewater of the Marine Farms

The predatory exploitation techniques used for the supply of protein resources have been systematically causing the decrease in seafood. The solution was sought in the form of marine farms, for the purpose of production of fish and seafood. Brazil created an incentive production of seafood in order to increase seafood production. In 1998, the state governments joined the project, encouraging the creation of marine farms without an assessment of the impact on the environment. In 2005, after several records of seafood production in Santa Catarina started an epidemic of white spot shrimp, decimating several fishing farms. In Bahia came the disease lethargic crab, which simply decimated almost 90% of crabs those states. In 2010, the State Government of Bahia invested in research to combat this degradation of mangroves; the project had to in essence deal with the brown mare and help save the fishing industry of the state. It was based on these principles that Nereu project emerged, which provides for the rational and intelligent use of contaminated and hypersaline water of the marine farms from the production area of fish and seafood, in order to neutralize all pathogens and produce pure water with energy cogeneration

Improving Memory Hierarchy Utilisation for Stencil Computations on Multicore Machines

Although modern supercomputers are composed of multicore machines, one can find scientists that still execute their legacy applications which were developed to monocore cluster where memory hierarchy is dedicated to a sole core. The main objective of this paper is to propose and evaluate an algorithm that identify an efficient blocksize to be applied on MPI stencil computations on multicore machines. Under the light of an extensive experimental analysis, this work shows the benefits of identifying blocksizes that will dividing data on the various cores and suggest a methodology that explore the memory hierarchy available in modern machines

A aprendizagem da docência no início da carreira: qual política? quais problemas?

O presente artigo busca refletir sobre o início da docência, assumido como um processo contínuo de aprendizagem a partir dos resultados de pesquisas produzidas no âmbito dos programas de pós-graduação em educação do Brasil. Para tanto, recorre a um universo de 14 pesquisas (dissertações e teses), tentando elucidar as principais características desse período de iniciação profissional e como a política de inserção na carreira se faz presente nesse momento. O texto finaliza advogando que a política existente no início de carreira é a do aprender sozinho, responsabilizar-se sozinho pelo seu desenvolvimento profissional. No que tange a isso, afirma não haver uma política de inserção desse profissional na carreira, uma vez que não há, ainda, uma compreensão do processo de aprender a ser professor como algo contínuo e, como corolário disso, uma política que assuma o estabelecimento de elos entre a formação inicial, o início de carreira e a formação continuada. Palavras-chave: Professor iniciante. Com o objetivo de trazer mais reflexões que respostas e assumindo as relações entre religião, cultura e educação, o presente texto defende a educação como uma prática cultural e a cultura como prática essencialmente humana. Defende, ainda, que não faz sentido falar na definição do ensino religioso como um componente curricular – discutindo aspectos tais como o que, como, para que e para quem ensinar – se esta não for acompanhada de reflexões sobre a formação inicial de professores, tanto no âmbito inicial, quanto no continuado

Flexural strengthening of RC slabs with prestressed CFRP strips using different anchorage systems

In the field of flexural strengthening of concrete structures the Externally Bonded Reinforcement (EBR) technique using carbon fiber-reinforced polymers (CFRP) is commonly used. This technique offers several structural advantages when the CFRP material is prestressed. One of the critical aspects of a prestressing technique is the type of end anchorage. Two systems are investigated in the present paper: the metallic anchorage elements fixed to the ends of the FRP reinforcement and the gradient anchorage. In order to assess the performance of these two systems, an experimental program was carried out. In addition to the anchorage systems, the cross-section geometry of the CFRP strip was also included in this study. Eight slabs were monotonically tested under displacement control up to failure by using a four-point bending test configuration.
