Records of host ant use of Phengaris Doherty, 1891 (Lepidoptera, Lycaenidae) in the Czech Republic

The specificity of the specialisation of Phengaris Doherty, 1891 caterpillars to their host ants is still not fully understood. In this report, we summarize all available records of Phengaris in ant nests from the Czech Republic. P. alcon (Denis & Schiffermüller, 1775) was found exclusively in nests of Myrmica scabrinodis Nylander, 1846 at four sites, and one P. nausithous (Bergsträsser, 1779) caterpillar was found in a nest of M. scabrinodis. According to published records, P. nausithous may use M. scabrinodis at the edges of its range but should be adapted exclusively to M. rubra (Linnaeus, 1758) in the centre of its range. No records of P. arion (Linnaeus, 1758), P. teleius (Bergsträsser, 1779) and P. alcon populations feeding on Gentiana cruciata (Gentianaceae) ("P. rebeli") are available from the Czech Republic

Má diplomová práce, kterou zde prezentuji, se zabývá inovací výroby náprav pro železniční kolejová vozidla. Na začátku prezentuji historii výroby náprav ve firmě ArcelorMittal Ostrava a.s.. Dále popisuji historii výroby kolejových vozidel, hlavní části, materiály používané pro výrobu hnacích a běžných náprav. Zmiňuji zde i operace, které se při výrobě náprav pro železniční kolejová vozidla neváží přímo k obrábění, popisuji původní operace obrábění s představením původních strojů, nástrojů a přípravků, a nová technologická zařízení, které bych při inovaci výroby použil. Nová technologická zařízení jsem vybral od českých firem, které tyto stroje vyrábí. I pro tyto nové stroje jsem navrhnul nové nástroje a uvádím zde i řezné podmínky. V závěru srovnávám novou a původní technologii a vyhodnocuji technicko – ekonomické ukazatele při zavedení nové technologie výroby náprav pro železniční kolejová vozidla do praxe.SEDLÁČEK, P. I also mention operations in the production of axles for Railway Wheelset do not bind directly to the machining, describing the initial machining operations with the introduction of the original machines, tools and fixtures, and new technological equipment that I use when upgrading of production. Dále popisuji obrábění mechanických částí – rozměrných součástí tramvají. V hlavní části popisuji technologii výroby tramvajové nápravy, materiály z kterých se nápravy vyrábějí, tepelné zpracování polotovarů, provedení předepsaných zkoušek po tepelném zpracování. Technologický postup výroby jednoho typu nápravy včetně navržení technologických zařízení, strojů, nástrojů, přípravků, u některých operací počítám řezné podmínky a jednotkové strojní časy. Technological process of production of one type of axle including the design of technological equipment, machinery, tools, jigs, some operations even counting unit cutting conditions and machinery times. VYBRANÉ NUTRIENTY V ETIOLOGII, PREVENCI A LÉČBĚ OBEZITY Pandemie obezity ve 21 století je dána obezitogenním prostředím, které napomáhá rozvoji pozitivní energetické bilance, kdy příjem energie jedince chronicky převyšuje jeho energetickou potřebu, tedy energetický výdej. Dochází ke zvýšení tělesné hmotnosti zvýšeným či abnormálním zastoupením tělesného tuku v organismu. Prevence rozvoje obezity je zacílena na dosažení energetické rovnováhy, v případě již rozvinuté nadváhy nebo obezity spočívá léčba v navození a po určitou dobu udržení negativní energetické bilance, tedy stimulace energetického výdeje a snížení energetického příjmu. Přijímaná strava pak určuje nejen energetický příjem, ale její jednotlivé nutrienty mohou částečně ovlivňovat i energetický výdej a fyziologii tukové tkáně. Cílem této práce je popsat a experimentálně ověřit některé nutrienty, které by mohly napomáhat k váhové redukci a fyziologické funkci tukové tkáně. Na podkladě literárních údajů bylo zvažováno 19 účinných látek nebo směsí. Za nejvhodnější k experimentu byla zvolena směs ω-3 polynenasycených mastných kyselin (ω-3 PMK ), eikosapentaenové a dokosahexaenové, v denní dávce 0,6 g, ve formě tuku mořských ryb v certifikovaném doplňku stravy. Ve 12 týdenní, tří ramenné, paralelně probíhající randomizované klinické intervenční studii...SELECTED NUTRIENTS IN ETIOLOGY, PREVENTION AND TREATMENT OF OBESITY The 21st century pandemic of obesity is given by to the obesitogenic environment that helps to develop a positive energy balance, where the energy intake of an individual chronically exceeds his energy need, ie energy expenditure. There is an increase in body weight by increased or abnormal body fat accumulation in the body. Preventing the development of obesity is aimed at achieving energy balance, in the case of existing overweight or obesity, the treatment lies in inducing and maintaining a negative energy balance for some time, ie stimulating energy expenditure and reducing energy intake. Selected diet determines not only energy intake, but its individual nutrients can also partially affect energy expenditure and fat tissue physiology. The aim of this work is to describe and experimentally verify some nutrients that could help in weight reduction and physiological function of adipose tissue. Based on the literature data, 19 active substances or mixtures were considered. A mixture of ω-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (ω-3 PUFA), eicosapentaenoic acid and docosahexaenoic acid, in a daily dose of 0.6 g, in the form of fish oil in a certified food supplement was chosen as the most suitable for the experiment. Medical Writing in the Era of Medicine 2.0: Case Reporting

This study presents insights into the way medical professionals write by offering an analysis of one of the basic, but often neglected, genres of written medical discourse – the case report. Specifically, it investigates structural, textual, and contextual features of online published medical case reports, adopting a genre analytic approach drawing on English for Specific Purposes research. The investigation of the most salient textual features is performed by means of the TextSTAT concordance program. For this purposes, more than a thousand case reports were collected from two open-access medical journals – Cases Journal and Journal of Medical Case Reports (approximately 2 million words). The salient textual features of these present-day reports are regarded as a consequence of the process of technologization of medical science, the advent of the Internet, and particularly the emergence of Medicine 2.0

APPLICATION OF THE MORI-TANAKA METHOD TO DESCRIBE THE RATE-DEPENDENT BEHAVIOR OF UNIDIRECTIONAL FIBROUS COMPOSITES

This paper examines the possibility of using the Mori-Tanaka micromechanical model describe the rate dependent behavior of the polymer matrix based fibrous composites. The generalized Leonov model is adopted to capture the time and rate dependent character of the selected matrix, while fibers are assumed elastic. The performance of the Mori-Tanaka method is tested against the finite element simulations carried out in the framework of first-order homogenization. For simplicity, the periodichexagonal array model is chosen to represent the microstructural arrangement of fibers in the yarn cross-section. To match the predictions provided by the two approaches a suitable modification to the original Mori-Tanaka method is proposed. An extensive parametric study is presented to illustrate a considerable improvement of the predictive capability of the modified Mori-Tanaka method
