    WHAT SHE BECAME? is a thesis comprised of a thirteen- page introduction and 35 poems. As is evident from the title, the poems are about the poet’s unsettling personal and creative journey, as well as her personal movements, her traumatic childhood, her individual and cultural backgrounds. The author takes her readers through the experiences of women in war-torn Iraqi Kurdistan from the early 80s to the present day. Her poetry gives you a glimpse of life under a patriarchal regime that attempts to stifle women’s voices. The introduction dives deeper into her own personal history as a female Kurdish writer, draws close attention to connections between individual/family trauma and collective/historical trauma.     Calculation of Radon Gas Concentration in the Buildings of College of Women Education - Tikrit University using the Nuclear Track Detector CR-39

    This study analyses the radon gas content in (17) samples taken from buildings of the College of Women\u27s Education - Tikrit University. Using a long-term measuring approach and a nuclear effect detector, the effects of radon\u27s alpha particles were measured (CR-39). Radon concentrations were discovered to fluctuate, with the greatest levels being found in computer lab buildings (1).it reaching (72.7 Bq.m-3), while the lowest value was in a Department of Psychological Sciences if it reaches (15.8 Bq.m-3) compared to the radioactive background of (39.0 Bq.m-3) There is no risk to the College\u27s workforce, including workers and students, and there was no exposure to excessive levels of radiation or environmental pollution. This provided the College with an advantage in that it was not subjected to harmful amounts of radiation or contamination

    Dalam Undang Undang Nomor 20 pasal 39 juncto Peraturan Pemerintah Nomor 12 tahun 2007 antara lain dijelaskan bahwa untuk dapat diangkat sebagai Pengawas Sekolah adalah seseorang yang wajib memenuhi standar Pengawas Sekolah yang berlaku secara nasional. Berkewajiban menilai dan membina penyelenggaraan pendidikan dalam rangka pemWnaan, pengembangan, perlindungan peningkatan mutu, dan pelayanan sekolah. Dalam konteks penyelenggaraan pendidikan terutama pada tingkat sekolah dasar, berdasarkan observasi realisasi tahap awai di Lingkungan Dinas Pendidikan Kota Bekasi, secara umum menunjukkan bahwa, visi dan misi pendidikan akan sulit dicapai apabila pendidik dan tenaga kependidikan, sarana prasarana tidak memadai dan ditambah kinerja pengawas yang rendah. Semua faktor ini akan mempengaruhi kualitas pendidikan (S Kota Bekasi.     I NENGAH SARWA ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui besarnya (1) determinasi potensi akademik terhadap prestasi belajar; (2) determinasi bakat kinestetik terhadap prestasi belajar; (3) determinasi motivasi berprestasi terhadap prestasi belajar; dan (4) determinasi secara bersama-sama antara potensi akademik, bakat kinestetik, dan motivasi berprestasi terhadap prestasi belajar. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian ex-post fakto pada mahasiswa semester 4 Jurusan Seni Karawitan Institut Seni Indonesia Denpasar, yang berjumlah 35 orang. Data dikumpulkan dengan (1) kuesioner motivasi berprestasi; (2) tes potensi akademik; (3) tes bakat kinestetik, dan (4) tes prestasi belajar. Analisis data menggunakan analisis regresi linear. Dari analisis data ditemukan (1) terdapat korelasi yang positif dan signifikan antara potensi akadiemik dan prestasi belajar, dengan koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,720 dan determinasi sebesar 51,84%; (2) terdapat korelasi yang positif dan signifikan antara bakat kinestetik dan prestasi belajar, dengan koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,731 dan determinasi sebesar 53,44%; (3) terdapat korelasi yang positif dan signifikan antara motivasi berprestasi dan prestasi belajar, dengan koefisien korelasi 0,719 dan determinasi sebesar 51,69%; (4) terdapat korelasi yang positif dan signifikan secara bersama-sama antara potensi akademik, bakat kinestetik, serta motivasi berprestasi dan prestasi belajar, dengan koefisien regresi sebesar 0,9330 dan determinasi sebesar 87,05% terdiri atas (a) sumbangan efektif potensi akademik 28,35% (b) sumbangan efektif bakat kinestetik 31,72% dan (c) sumbangan efektif motivasi berprestasi 26,99%. Kata kunci: potensi akademik, bakat kinestetik, motivasi berprestasi, dan prestasi belajar. THE DETERMINATION OF ACADEMIC POTENTIAL, KINESTHETIC APTITUDE, AND ACHIEVEMENT MOTIVATION TOWARD LEARNING ACHIEVEMENT OF THE STUDENTS OF THE KARAWITAN ART DEPARTEMEN AT THE PERFORMANCE ART FACULTY OF INDONESIAN ART INSTITUTE DENPASAR ABSTRACT This study aimed at finding out the extent of: (1) determination of Academic Potential toward Learning Achievement; (2) determination of Kinesthetic Aptitude toward Learning Achievement; (3) determination of Achievement Motivation toward Learning Achievement; and (4) the simultaneous determination of Academic Potential, Kinesthetic Aptitude, and Achievement Motivation toward Learning Achievement. This study was an ex-post facto research, for the 35 fourth semester students of the Karawitan Art Departement of Indonesian Art Institute Denpasar. The data were collected with: (1) a questionnare of Achievement Motivation, (2) Academic Potential Test, (3) Kinesthetic Aptitude Test, and (4) Learning Achievement Test. The data were analyzed by Linear Regression Analysis. From the analysis it was found that: (1) there was a positive and significant correlation between Academic Potential and Learning Achievement as shown by the coefficient of correlation of 0.720 and determination of 51.84%; (2) there was a positive and significant correlation between Kinesthetic Aptitude and Learning Achievement as shown by the coefficient of correlation of 0.731 and the determination of53.44%; (3) there was a positive and significant correlation between Achievement Motivation and Learning Achievement as shown by the coefficient of correlation of 0.719 and the determination of 51.69%; (4) there was a positive and significant simultaneous correlation between Academic Potentiality, Kinesthetic Aptitude, and Achievement Motivation and Learning Achievement as shown by the regression coefficient 0.9330 and the determination 87.05%, which are formed by: the contribution of Academic Potential 28.35%, the contribution of Kinesthetic Aptitude 31.72%, and the contribution Achievement Motivation 26.99%

    Budd-Chiari Syndrome is a rare, challenging clinical condition which is characterised by a hepatic venous outflow obstruction, usually caused by a thrombotic occlusion at the level of the small hepatic veins until the entrance of the inferior vena cava into the right atrium. It affects usually young adults, mostly female. The classical clinical presentation is a triade of abdominal pain, hepatomegaly and ascites, but usually, there are large inter-individual differences ranging from asymptomatic cases to patients with portal hypertension or even liver failure. Budd-Chiari syndrome can be classified in a primary form, typified by an endoluminal lesion of mostly thrombotic origin, and a secondary form, characterised by an extravascular lesion invading or compression the lumen.     Hot Electron Effects in the 2D Superconductor-Insulator Transition

    The parallel magnetic field tuned two-dimensional superconductor-insulator transition has been investigated in ultrathin films of amorphous Bi. The resistance is found to be independent of temperature on both sides of the transition below approximately 120 mK. Several observations suggest that this regime is not intrinsically "metallic" but results from the failure of the films' electrons to cool. The onset of this temperature-independent regime can be moved to higher temperatures by either increasing the measuring current or the level of electromagnetic noise. Temperature scaling is successful above 120 mK. Electric field scaling can be mapped onto temperature scaling by relating the electric fields to elevated electron temperatures. These results cast doubt on the existence of an intrinsic metallic regime and on the independent determination of the correlation length and dynamical critical exponents obtained by combining the results of electric field and temperature scaling.Comment: 4 pages, 4 figure

    Praktik Pendidikan Pewirausahaan (PKWU) di SMK secara materi belum selaras dengan keahlian kejuruan yang dimiliki siswa dan proses pembelajaran secara pendekatan klasikal. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengembangan model pembelajaran PKWU di SMK yang sesuai dengan keahlian kejuruan. Pengembangan model dirancang dengan mengadaptasi model Experiential Learning Theory (ELT). Metode penelitian dilakukan dengan Riset dan Pengembangan (R & D : Research and Development). Hasil pengembangan pembelajaran PKWU diberi nama “Model Pembelajaran Pendidikan Kewirausahaan berbasis Pengalaman (PKbP)”. Model pembelajaran dilakukan dalam 5 (lima) langkah siklus pembelajaran yaitu : 1) orientasi peluang usaha, 2) eksplorasi dan pengamatan reflektif, 3) pengalaman inspiratif, 4) konseptualisasi abstrak, dan 5) eksperimen simulatif. Implementasi model secara operasional didukung dengan : Panduan Implementasi Model, Silabus, Rencana Program Pembelajaran (RPP), Buku Ajar, dan media video. Uji kelayakan model dilakukan dalam 3 (tiga) tahap meliputi : uji model model konseptual (Model Hipotetik) melalui uji pakar (expert judgment), uji lapangan tahap-1 dalam kelas terbatas,dan uji lapangan tahap-2 dalam kelas diperluas. Secara konseptual model pembelajaran PKbP cocok diterapkan untuk SMK. Secara praktik PKbP telah berhasil dan efektif diterapkan oleh Guru dengan respon secara positif direspon sangat baik oleh siswa ditunjukan dengan semangat dan dinamika kelas serta berhasil meningkatkan minat (intensi) dan pengetahuan peserta didik. Prasyarat dan kondisi yang dibutuhkan dalam implementasi model meliputi: 1) siswa telah dibekali dengan kompetensi keahlian yang cukup dan telah mempunyai pengalaman belajar praktek industri; 2) Guru mempunyai kompetensi mayor dalam bidang manajemen bisnis; dan 3) sekolah mempunyai kemitraan dengan usaha kecil menengah (UKM) -------- Practices of Entrepreneurship Education (EE) in SMK materially has not aligned with the vocational skills and the learning process in the classical approach. The research aims to develop EE learning model in accordance with vocational skills. Development models are designed to adapt Experiential Learning Theory (ELT). Research methods were conducted by the Research and Development (R & D). Results of EE learning model named "Experience-based Entrepreneurship Education Learning Model". The implementation learning model in 5 (five) learning cycle steps are: 1) orientation of business opportunities, 2) exploration and reflective observation, 3) experience inspiring, 4) abstract conceptualization, and 5) a simulative experiment. Implementation of the model is operationally supported by: Model Implementation Guide, Syllabus, Program Plan (RPP), Textbook, and video media. The feasibility of the model is done within 3 (three) phases include: test of a conceptual model (Hypothetical Model) through expert judgment, field testing phase-1 in the limited class, and the field test phase-2 in the extended class. Conceptually Model suitable learning model applied to SMK. The model have been effectively implemented by the teacher to increase interest (intention) and knowledge of learners. Prerequisites and conditions required in the implementation of the model include: 1) the student has been provided with sufficient competence and expertise has had a learning experience industry practices; 2) The teacher has the major competence in the field of business management; and 3) the school has partnerships with small and medium enterprises (SMEs)
