    Preview of Estrogen, Progesterone and an Electrolite Plasma and the Act of Kidney on Sodium, Kalium, and Chorin of Bligon Goat's Estrous Cycle

    . This research was aimed to obtain status of reproduction hormone and electrolyte plasma and kidney's act on electrolyte in normal estrous cycle of 4 healthy female Bligon goats. The electrolyte, hormone and electrolyte clearance study has done in the first day, 3rd–5th, 6th–16th, and 17th–18th day of oestrus cycle. Estrogen and progesterone were analyzed with ELISA, while Na, K, Cl were with spectrophotometer. The average difference for each parameter in any period of oestrus cycle was subject to analysis of variance continued by Turkey HSD. The average of estrogen in estrous cycle was 211.25–247.77 pg/dl potential to increase around the estrous and decrease in luteal period (3rd–5th day and 6th–16th estrous cycle), and progesterone was 0.21–0.70 ng/dl with significant increase in luteal period (3rd–5rd day and 6th–16th estrogen cycle). Na, K, Cl in plasma in estrous cycle were not significantly different. Conclusively, progesterone levels in the late luteal period of Bligon goat's estrous cycle was significantly higher than that in other periods of oestrus. Estrogen levels tended to increase prior to and during the periods of oestrus and decrease during the luteal period despite the lack of significant changes, also in status of plasma electrolytes and renal acts of electrolytes

    Globalization and economic pressure faced by governments including Malaysia, have led universities to be independent and source out their own fund for development, operation and research activity. In Malaysian case, the government has launched National Higher Education Strategic Plan Beyond 2020 to prepare for new challenges. As a result, the plan offers new autonomy for public universities. While government gives special attention to public university, literature provides limited discussion on the funding and sustainability of private universities. As such, this paper aims at exploring waqf as one of the financing instruments for private university’s sustainability. The paper proposes conceptual model to transform conventional method of financing university into corporate waqf university (CoWU), based on Yayasan Universiti Multimedia (YUM) experience. The study expands previous research and highlights the potential of transforming existing conventional endowment to Islamic endowment (waqf). The study adopts qualititative approach where desk research, interview, discussion, benchmarking as well as primary data collection were employed. It opens up possibilities and proposes practical model where corporate sector and university can work together to establish and fund corporate waqf university. The study also examines issues in implementing corporate waqf university, discusses opportunities and challenges in managing waqf for higher learning institutions. Finally, the paper suggests some pertinent points for policy maker and practitioner consideration

    In this paper, we introduce a considerable machinery which permits us to characterize a number of special (fuzzy) subsets in AG -groupoids. Generalizing the concepts of (∈, ∈ ∨q) -fuzzy bi-ideals (interior ideal), we define (∈, ∈ ∨ q k) -fuzzy bi-ideals, (∈, ∈ ∨ q k )-fuzzy left (right)-ideals and ( , ) k ? ? ?q -fuzzy interior ideals in AG -groupoids and discuss some fundamental aspects of these ideals in AG -groupoids. We further define ( ∈, ∈ ∨ q k) -fuzzy bi-ideals and (∈, ∈ ∨ q k)-fuzzy interior ideals and give some of their basic properties in AG -groupoids. In the last section, we define lower/upper parts of (∈, ∈ ∨ q k ) -fuzzy left (resp. right) ideals and investigate some characterizations of regular and intera-regular AG -groupoids in terms of the lower parts of ( ∈, ∈ ∨ q k ) -fuzzy left (resp. right) ideals and ( ∈, ∈ ∨ q k )-fuzzy bi-ideal of AG -groupoids

    The Effectiveness of Massage in Reducing Pain in Phase I of Childbirth

    Massage is a technique that can relieve pain by blocking the pain signals, increasing blood circulation and oxygenation to the entire tissue. Pregnant women who receive 20 minutes massage during maternity process will be free from pain. The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of massage in order to reduce pain at the stage of delivery process for pregnant women This research is a quasi-experiment approach using pre-post test research design. The research location was at BPS Ernita Pekanbaru and conducted in April-June 2014. The number of sample in this study was 30 people with purposive sampling technique. This study is applied primary data which were analyzed by Paired Sample T-Test (Dependent T-Test) with the degree of α = 0.05. The result showed that the average pain scale without receiving a massage was 8.67 and decreasing after pregnant women receive a massage to 5.33. Furthermore, average pain scale without pain killer was 9.47 and after drug administration was 3.07. In other words, massage and medication was effective methods in order to reduce pain with p value : 0.001 To conclude, a massage is quite effective method in reducing pain for pregnant women during her first phase of maternity

    A Bieberbach group with point group  C2 xC2  is a free torsion crystallographic group. A central subgroup of a nonabelian tensor square of a group G, denoted by ∇(G) is a normal subgroup generated by generator g⊗g for all g∈G and essentially depends on the abelianization of the group. In this paper, the formula of the central subgroup of the nonabelian tensor square of one Bieberbach group with point group   C2 xC2 , of lowest dimension 3, denoted by S3 (3) is generalized up to n dimension. The consistent polycyclic presentation, the derived subgroup and the abelianization of group this group of n dimension are first determined. By using these presentations, the central subgroup of the nonabelian tensor square of this group of n dimension is constructed. The findings of this research can be further applied to compute the homological functors of this group.Keywords: Bieberbach group; central subgroup; nonabelian tensor square

    Cropping pattern based micronutrient application for wheat-mungbean-T. aman crop sequence under Tista Meander Floodplain soil at Rangpur

    Intensification of agricultural land use coupled with cultivation of modern varieties has remarkably increased in Bangladesh. This in turn has resulted in deterioration of soil fertility, with emergence of macro- and micro-nutrient deficiency of crops. With this point in view, a study was undertaken to evaluate the effect of different micronutrients on crop yield, and to determine the requirement of selected micronutrients for crops and cropping patterns in the Tista Meander Floodplain (AEZ 3). Experiments were conducted at BINA substation and farmers’ fields of Rangpur district within AEZ 3. In experiment 1, the field trials were done with six micronutrients (B, Zn, Cu, Mn, Fe & Mo) designed in an additive manner. These elements were imposed to the first crop and their residual effects were monitored on the next two crops over the patterns: wheat-mungbean-T. aman. The rates of micronutrient application were 3 kg Zn, 2 kg B, 2 kg Cu, 3 kg Mn, 5 kg Fe and 1 kg Mo per hectare, added as fertilizers such as ZnSO4.7H2O, H3BO3, CuSO4.5H2O, MnCl2, FeSO4.7H2O and Na2MoO4, respectively. Other nutrients viz. N, P, K & S were applied at recommended rates to all plots; rationale was followed for the second and third crops. Intercultural operations were done whenever required. The results revealed that across the experimental sites, the crops were quite responsive to the added Zn and B. Positive effect of Cu was also noted in some cases. In the following year (expt. 2), two micronutrients, Zn and B were taken into the same cropping pattern and designed in a way to determine whether 1stcrop, 2ndcrop or 3rdcrop application is necessary to achieve satisfactory crop yield. The rates of Zn application were 0, 2, 4 & 6 kg ha–1, and the rates for B were 0, 1.5 and 3 kg ha–1. The results show that Zn application at 4 kg ha–1 coupled with B application at 1.5 kg ha–1 to the first crop can meet their requirement for the subsequent two crops in a pattern. The present study suggests that cropping pattern based field trials with Zn, B and Cu need to be done at farm level in the high cropping intensity areas of this country in order to determine micronutrient requirement of crop

    Bieberbach groups are torsion free crystallographic groups. In this paper, our focus is given on the Bieberbach groups with symmetric point group of order six. The nonabelian tensor square of a group is a well known homological functor which can reveal the properties of a group. With the method developed for polycyclic groups, the nonabelian tensor square of one of the Bieberbach groups of dimension four with symmetric point group of order six is computed. The nonabelian tensor square of this group is found to be not abelian and its presentation is constructed

    Graph splicing rules with cycle graph and its complement on complete graphs

    Graph splicing system is a notion originally used to illustrate the one-dimensional string of DNA splicing in the form of a graph. A graph splicing system is associated with a graph splicing scheme where graph splicing rules are defined. A graph splicing rule restricts the possible cuts to occur on the edges of the initial graph(s) in a graph splicing system. The subgraphs of the initial graph are used in the splicing rules to determine the edges that will be cut from the initial graph. The concept of graph splicing system can be applied on various types of graph, hence generates components of spliced graphs depending on the types of the graph splicing rules used. There is a graph splicing rule called as a cutting rule which can be applied on both linear graphs and circular graphs where the graphs are transformed into Pseudo-Linear Form. However, this cutting rule has limited various possible cuts that can occur on the complete graph. Therefore, in this research, the original concept of graph splicing system is applied on complete graphs as the initial graphs. Also, graph splicing rules involving subgraphs of the initial graphs which are also complete graphs, are considered and applied in the graph splicing system. Furthermore, the generated spliced graphs are obtained through the graph splicing system
