Inspeção predial: estudo de caso de um edifício residencial, Criciúma – SC

Artigo submetido ao Curso de Engenharia Civil da UNESC – como requisito parcial para obtenção do Título de Engenheiro Civil.O presente trabalho consiste na vistoria de um Edifício Residencial, situado na cidade de Criciúma SC, cujo objetivo é a identificação das principais patologias construtivas e elaboração da matriz GUT (Gravidade, Urgência, Tendência) dos riscos associados. Elaborou-se um check list para orientar as vistorias e posterior realização da matriz GUT das áreas de uso comum e de algumas áreas privativas; evidenciando a incidência das referidas patologias. Conclui-se que os condôminos deverão realizar reparos imediatos nos elementos estruturais decorrentes da corrosão das armaduras, seguido de reparos nas instalações elétricas e cobertura. Recomenda-se a vistoria periódica para o acompanhamento das patologias construtivas, face a falta de manutenção e conservação

An Experimental Study on Virtual Machine Live Migration Impact on Services Performance

One important benefit of servers' virtualization is the reduction of the maintenance complexity of infrastructures. A key feature is servers' live migration which allows virtual servers to be exchanged between physical machines without stopping their services. However, virtualization also has some drawbacks caused by the overhead generated. Our research evaluated live migration process overhead, on real and virtual environments, noticed from the client's side regarding two different services: web and database. YCSB and ab Benchmark were adopted as workloads. Almost all tests on real environment overcame those on virtual, with both benchmarks. The impact of the live migration in the services was evident, proving to be more effective on real machines than on virtual machines. We found the DB service accommodated better to the virtual environment and to migration than Web service. We also considered an environment with multiple migrations which presented a higher degradation than when only one migration is performed

Priming in lettuce seeds : Condicionamento osmótico em sementes de alface

One of the methods used to promote the rapid and uniform germination of vegetable seeds is the use of osmotic conditioning. The technique aims to regulate the osmotic potential of the solution, thus restricting the entry of water into the seeds without them germinating during the process. This work evaluated the germination of lettuce seeds of Grand Rapids, Everglades, and Verônica cultivars, submitted to osmotic conditioning. The seeds were immersed in polyethylene glycol solutions (PEG 6000) at potentials of 0.0; -0.6; -0.8, and -1.0 MPa, and remained in imbibition for 14, 24, and 48 h. After this period, the seeds were germinated on paper, moistened with water at 2.5 times their mass, and kept at 20ºC for seven days. The experimental design used was completely randomized, in a factorial scheme with three cultivars, four osmotic potentials, and three temperatures, with four replications of 25 seeds each. The germination percentage, the germination speed index, the mean speed of germination, and the mean germination time were evaluated. Data were subjected to analysis of residual normality by the Shapiro-Wilk test and the homogeneity of variances using the Bartlett test and submitted to analysis of variance. Data from osmotic potential and time of imbibition were submitted to polynomial regression. The treatment means were compared at 5% probability. Seeds of ‘Grand Rapids’ and ‘Everglades’ showed positive effects after osmoconditiong treatments

Ideb, políticas educacionais e cultura de avaliação nos municípios do Ceará

O Índice de Desenvolvimento da Educação Básica (Ideb) é um mecanismo de monitoramento da qualidade da educação no país, calculado a partir dos indicadores de fluxo escolar e as médias de desempenho da Prova Brasil. O uso dos seus resultados tem sido guia na implementação de políticas educacionais no âmbito nacional, estadual e municipal. Considerando a relação entre o índice e a cultura de avaliação externa do estado Ceará, no presente trabalho buscou-se compreender a utilização dos resultados do Ideb pelas gestões municipais. A pesquisa, de natureza quanti-qualitativa, utiliza dados obtidos no Questionário Eletrônico do Secretário Municipal de Educação, aplicados junto ao Saeb em 2019, com recorte para os secretários do estado do Ceará e destaque ao bloco referente à avaliação educacional. A partir da análise verificou-se que o Ideb induziu mudanças nas práticas de gestão municipal sobretudo, pelo alinhamento entre as ações municipais e as avaliações em larga escala

Geology, Petrology and Magmatic Evolution of the Felsic Alkaline Rocks of the Vitória Island, São Paulo State, Brazil

This paper presents geological, petrographic, geochemical characteristics and radiometric ages for the felsic alkaline rocks of the Vitória Island Intrusive Complex, São Paulo State, Brazil, and discusses its geochemical evolutionary processes. This intrusive body is about 3 km in diameter and the emerged island areas correspond to its northeastern border. The main intrusion is constituted by nepheline syenite at the central zone, nepheline-bearing syenite at the outer zone, syenite at the border, and quartz syenite at the contact zone with alkali feldspar represented by orthoclase. Clinopyroxene vary from hedenbergite, soda-augite to aegirine-augite, and some crystals have resorption shape and amphibole reaction rim. They are intruded by phonolite, trachyte and lamprophyre dykes. Based on the intrusion relation, the dykes are subdivided into two generations: the first one encompass a radial system and the second a parallel system with NE-SW orientation and sinistral displacement. The alkaline rocks vary from silica undersaturated to oversaturated, show peralkaline to peraluminous compositions and belong to the potassic series. The K-Ar ages for amphibole of the nepheline-bearing syenite and syenite are 89.58 ± 3.18 Ma and 84.35 ± 3.92 Ma, respectively. The rocks are strongly fractionated with high differentiation index (DI) of 88.15 in average, indicating mafic minerals fractionation. K2O/ (K2O+Na2O) ratios are low, in average 0.51, in accordance to crystallization of pseudo leucite and potassic feldspar the last observed in thin sections

Green core clinopyroxenes from Martin Vaz Archipelago Plio-Pleistocenic alkaline rocks, South Atlantic Ocean, Brazil: a magma mixing and polybaric crystallization record

Martin Vaz Archipelago is located at the parallel 20°S, 1200 km away from the Brazilian coastline and is composed of Plio-Pleistocenic alkaline rocks that represent the last volcanic event of the Vitória-Trindade Ridge. The Archipelago is divided into three main units: Pico das Gaivotas Unit (i) is made up of nosean-phonolite and phono-tephrite domes and tephri-phonolite dykes with clinopyroxene, nosean and potassic feldspar phenocrysts, and scarce kaersutite anhedral phenocrysts; the Bandeira Unit (ii), in turn, comprises melanephelinitic and basanitic lava flows with olivine and clinopyroxene (diopside) phenocrysts; and lastly, the Basal Unit (iii) is composed of pyroclastic deposits with tuffs, lapilli-tuffs and lapillite. The clinopyroxene phenocrysts from Pico das Gaivotas and Bandeira Units have anhedral green cores with sieved and poikilitic textures and show reaction rims composed of opaque minerals, indicating disequilibrium and compositional changes in the liquid. This study provides mineral chemistry data indicating that clinopyroxene rims are more primitive (Mg# 57.46–84.12) and enriched in Al–Ti–Fe3+-Ca compared to the Fe-rich green-cores, probably related with a more primitive Ca-rich magma input in the magmatic chamber after the green-core crystallization from a different liquid. Olivine crystals from Bandeira Unit show resorption features and no compositional affinity with the analyzed liquid, indicating that these crystals have a xenocrystic origin from mantle peridotitic source. Clinopyroxene geothermobarometry data suggest different pressure and temperature conditions for cores and rims during crystallization, reflecting a polybaric evolutionary history. Pico das Gaivotas Unit clinopyroxene phenocrysts suggest a particularly higher-pressure environment, and a complex evolutionary history.publishe

Posição-sujeito, processo de ressignificação e singularidade em narrativas contadas por crianças no Youtube

O objetivo deste artigo é mostrar a relação entre processo de ressignificação em narrativas contadas por crianças e marcas de singularidade. Para isto, foram extraídas do portal youtube, versões das narrativas “Os três porquinhos” e “Chapeuzinho Vermelho”. Após a transcrição literal, a análise foi realizada tendo como fundamentação teórica a noção de sujeito da Psicanálise e da Análise do Discurso de matriz francesa. O destaque para os pressupostos desta última corrente teórico-metodológica levou à discussão sobre o efeito de repetição e de novidade. A questão mobilizada versa sobre traços de singularidade que emergem a partir da filiação do sujeito às paráfrases e às regiões outras de sentido do grande Outro
