    Abstract : This research is about the Lawa Safar tradition, a term used by the Morella people to refer to the bath routine on the last Wednesday of Safar month in the Islamic calendar every year. Its aim is to find out its historical roots, analyze it from the aspects of Islamic law, and see the prospects for its development. This descriptive qualitative research relies on literature sources which are strengthened by interviews of ritual actors. From the analysis carried out, it is not certain when Lawa Safar began to be carried out, but as in other places that carry out a similar tradition, the Lawa Safar ritual is influenced by the assumption that Safar is the month of disaster. Lawa Safar is carried out as an effort to repel reinforcements', a prayer to save people from danger and disaster. There is nothing contrary to the teachings of Islam in the series of Lawa Safar rituals, therefore, this tradition can be maintained as one of the syiars of Islam. Moreover, with the status of Morella today as one of the main tourist destinations in Maluku, it is very possible for the Lawa Safar tradition to be developed into one of the annual religious tourism events.Abstrak : Penelitian ini tentang tradisi Lawa Safar,  istilah yang digunakan oleh orang Morella untuk menyebut ritual mandi di Rabu terakhir bulan Safar dalam penanggalan Islam setiap tahun. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui akar sejarahnya, menganalisisnya dari aspek hukum Islam, dan melihat prospek pengembangannya. Tipe penelitian deskriptif kualitatif, data data diperoleh dari  literatur pustaka dan hasil wawancara dari pelaku ritual. Dari analisis yang dilakukan, tidak diketahui dengan pasti kapan Lawa Safar mulai dilaksanakan, tapi seperti halnya di tempat-tempat lain yang melakukan tradisi serupa, ritual Lawa Safar dipengaruhi anggapan bahwa Safar adalah bulan datangnya bencana. Lawa Safar dilakukan sebagai upaya tolak bala’, doa untuk menghindarkan masyarakat dari bahaya dan bencana. Tak ada hal yang bertentangan dengan ajaran Islam dalam rangkaian ritual Lawa Safar, karena itu, tradisi ini dapat dipertahankan sebagai salah satu syiar Islam. Status negeri Morella sekarang sebagai salah satu tujuan utama wisatawan di Maluku, maka tradisi Lawa Safar sangat mungkin dikembangkan menjadi salah satu event wisata religi tahunan.

    This research is in the background by one tradition in Malay society, which tradition is commonly called Safar Bath. The existence of safar bath tradition is currently being carried out in the Malay community of Sungai Buluh Village. The formulation of the problem in this research is how is the public perception of safar bath tradition in terms of the value of Pancasila in the village of Sungai Buluh regency lingga Riau Islands ?. The purpose of this research is to know public perception about safar bath tradition in terms of value of pancasila in rivers river village regency lingga Riau archipelago. The population of this study is the entire community in Sungai Buluh Village which is 1745 people and 540 kk. According to opinion (Sugiyono, 2013: 124) To determine the size of the sample then the author uses purposive sampling. Purposive sampling is a technique of taking or determining the sample with certain considerations. Based on the opinion Sugiyono that researchers allowed to determine the desired sample with certain considerations and in harmony with the purposive sampling of 30 people. Data collected through observation, questionnaires, interviews, and library techniques. In the data analysis using qualitative descriptive analysis.Based on the results of this study it can be concluded that the percentage of respondents' responses recapitulation answer about the perception of the community about the safar bath tradition in terms of the value of Pancasila in the village of Sungai Buluh sub-district of West Singkep regency lingga Riau Islands, which answered "Yes" 63,6 who answered "No" 36,4% Hypothesis which states that there are values of Pancasila in the tradition of Safar Baths in Sungai Buluh Village, Singkep Barat District, Lingga Regency, Riau Islands

    This article discussed about Mandi Safar Tradition at Tasik Nambus, the society of kepulauan Meranti Regency, Riau (Viewed from the Perspective of Hadits). The purpose of this study is to review the values contained in mandi safar according to hadits perspective. So that Islamic values are found in it. Because there are still many people who think that the traditions that develop in society are against the Shari'a, including the tradition of taking a mandi safarin Kepulauan meranti Regency. This study used a qualitative method, using two methods, namely by interviewing community leaders and exploring the literature related to research. As for the results of the study it was found that the Mandi Safar tradition of the society of the Kepulauan Meranti Regency is a hereditary tradition. This tradition started since the discovery of Tasik Nambus, the main character is Muhammad Sholeh. The Mandi Safar procession has two stages, namely preparation and implementation. The preparatory stage consists of soaking the wafak and preparing food, while the procession stage begins with praying together, eating together and bathing in Tasik Nambus, and this tradition is still running today. Based on the procession that was carried out, it was found that the values contained in the Mandi Safar tradition at Tasik Nambus, namely surrendering to God, giving charity and staying in touch. These three values when viewed from the perspective of hadith are recommended, the hadith also doesn’t conflict with Al-Qur'an and common sense

    Energy cost associated with vortex crossing in superconductors

    Starting from the Ginzburg-Landau free energy of a type II superconductor in a magnetic field we estimate the energy associated with two vortices crossing. The calculations are performed by assuming that we are in a part of the phase diagram where the lowest Landau level approximation is valid. We consider only two vortices but with two markedly different sets of boundary conditions: on a sphere and on a plane with quasi-periodic boundary conditions. We find that the answers are very similar suggesting that the energy is localised to the crossing point. The crossing energy is found to be field and temperature dependent -- with a value at the experimentally measured melting line of U×7.5kTm1.16/cL2U_\times \simeq 7.5 k T_m \simeq 1.16/c_L^2, where cLc_L is the Lindemann melting criterion parameter. The crossing energy is then used with an extension of the Marchetti, Nelson and Cates hydrodynamic theory to suggest an explanation of the recent transport experiments of Safar {{\em et al.}\ }.Comment: 15 pages, RevTex v3.0, followed by 5 postscript figure

    AbstractThe Sundanese people are generally Muslim and are very respectful of what their ancestral traditions have carried out. because of that there is a custom in respecting the noble time every month is not forgotten as ancestral heritage. In Indonesia, especially in Bandung Regency, Alamendah Village, there are interesting cultural characteristics to be studied. The culture in question is the Hajat overtime Tradition which is carried out every month of Safar. A community leader there said that the Hajat Overtime Tradition is a hereditary culture which is commemorated as asking for protection from Balai and all disasters in the month of Safar. This research reveals that most of the people of Alamendah Village are Muslims who still maintain their ancestral traditions, so that the celebration of talak bala is celebrated every month of Safar. This article applies historical methods which include heuristics, criticism, interpretation, and historical writing. The aim is to highlight the existence of the Hajat Buruan Tradition in Kampung Cipanawa which is still being preserved. Given that there are still very few writers who raise this tradition as research material. Islam and Sundanese Tradition in the Hajat Overtime Tradition is a form of acculturation that still occurs in Alamendah Village between Islam and Sundanese traditions. Keywords: Tradition, Hajat Buruan. AbstrakSuku Bangsa Sunda umumnya beragama Islam dan tabiatnya sangat menghormati apa yang sudah dijalankan oleh tradisi leluhurnya. Oleh sebab itu adanya adat dalam menghormati  waktu mulia setiap bulan tidak dilupakan sebagai warisan leluhur. Di Indonesia, khususnya di Kabupaten Bandung Desa Alamendah terdapat kekhasan budaya yang menarik untuk dikaji. Budaya yang dimaksud yaitu Tradisi Hajat lembur yang dilakukan setiap bulan Safar. Seorang tokoh masyarakat disana menuturkan bahwa Tradisi Hajat Lembur merupakan budaya turun-temurun yang diperingati sebagai meminta perlindungan dari Balai dan segala musibah dalam bulan Safar. Penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa sebagian besar masyarakat Desa Alamendah adalah umat Islam yang masih melestarikan tradisi Sunda leluhurnya, sehingga perayaan talak bala diperingati setiap bulan Safar. Artikel ini mengaplikasikan metode sejarah yang meliputi heuristik, kritik, interpretasi, dan penulisan sejarah.Adapun tujuannya yaitu guna mengangkat eksistensi Tradisi Hajat Buruan di Kampung Cipanawa yang masih dilestarikan. Mengingat  masih sedikit penulis yang mengangkat Tradisi ini sebagai bahan penelitian. Islam dan Tradisi Sunda dalam Tradisi Hajat Lembur merupakan bentuk  akulturasi yang masih terjadi di Desa Alamendah antara Islam dan tradisi Sunda. Kata kunci : Tradisi, Hajat Buruan

    HUBUNGAN ANTARA CULTURAL BELIEF PADA BULAN SAFAR DENGAN KECEMASAN MASYARAKAT MELAYU DI DESA TANJUNG MEDANG

    Ritual mandi safar disebut juga dengan safaran oleh masyarakat Melayu ini merupakan sebuah tradisi adat yang dilaksanakan tepat pada minggu akhir bulan safar. Istilah bulan safar dikenal dengan bulan Capuk dalam artian dipercayai adanya musibah dan malapetaka didalamnya, menjadi sumber awal kecemasan atas kesalamatan masyarakat pada bulan tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji secara ilmiah hubungan antara cultural belief pada bulan safar dengan kecemasan masyarakat Melayu. Subjek penelitian ini seluruh kepala keluarga di Desa Tanjung medang dengan rentang usia 26-60 tahun. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan angket, Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengukur variabel pada penelitian ini yaitu skala cultural belief pada bulan safar dan skala kecemasan masyarakat Melayu dengan setiap instrumen memiliki empat alternatif jawaban. Hasil analisis data menggunakan teknik korelasi product moment menggunakan bantuan program komputer SPSS 20.00 for windows. Berdasarkan hasil analisis menunjukkan koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,736 pada taraf signifikansi 0,000, lebih kecil dari 0,05 (p≤0,05), jadi hipotesis yang diajukan dalam penelitian ini diterima. Dengan kata lain ada hubungan yang signifikan antara cultur belief pada bulan safar dengan kecemasan masyarakat Melayu di Desa Tanjung Medang. Dengan melihat R diketahui bahwa cultural belief pada bulan safar memberi pengaruh 41,4% terhadap kecemasan masyarakat Melayu. Jika ditinjau berdasarkan aspek pada variabel cultural belief pada bulan safar, terlihat dari nilai empirik memberikan pengaruh yang besar terhadap kecemasan yakni 37,5%. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang positif antara cultural belief pada bulan safar. Kata Kunci: Cultural Belief pada Bulan Safar, Kecemasa
