TCC (graduação) - Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, Centro Sócio Econômico, Curso de Administração.Este estudo apresenta estratégias a serem implementadas no ambiente de marketing do Hippo Supermercados, no período compreendido entre janeiro de 2009 a julho de 2010. Faz-se para isso, um diagnóstico da atual situação de marketing da organização, e do ambiente no qual está inserida, o qual compreende o setor varejista de alimentos nacional, os seus principais concorrentes, seus clientes e seus fornecedores, para enfim propor as estratégias adequadas para o alcance da principal meta do plano, um incremento real de 15% no faturamento da empresa. A partir do referencial de Raimar Richers e Philip Kotler, organiza-se essas análises e estratégias em um plano de marketing, que define ainda um plano de ação para a execução de cada ação estratégica proposta, indicando o que será feito, quem o fará, como, quando e o quanto custará. Em seguida é apresentado o orçamento global do plano, e as ferramentas complementares, definidas para garantir sua completa execução, respeitando os prazos e valores previamente estipulados. Este estudo, portanto, constitui-se de um trabalho qualitativo, do tipo descritivo, e aplicado, quanto aos fins, e de uma pesquisa bibliográfica, documental, ex-post-facto e estudo de caso, quanto aos meios. Acredita-se que se executada em sua totalidade, a ferramenta de gestão de marketing aqui apresentada, possui reais possibilidades de atingir os objetivos para os quais se propôs

The Effect of Competitive Balance on the Demand for International Cricket

The issue of competitive balance and its effect on the attendance demand for sport has been covered extensively for many professional sports, but there is very little coverage of the effect of competitive balance on demand for international cricket, particularly in terms of long run competitive balance. This dissertation uses economic analysis to investigate the effect of long run competitive balance on attendance demand for international cricket, using attendance data for Test and one-day international cricket matches played by the English national cricket team in England between 1980 and 2005, and likewise for the Australian national cricket team in Australia between 1988 and 2006. I first build an index of ratings for international teams for both Test cricket and one-day international cricket for the last 26 years and use it to obtain a measure of uncertainty of outcome for every match, in terms of the difference between ratings points. I then examine whether this measure affects attendance demand for international cricket, while controlling other determinants of demand for international cricket. I find that decreasing competitive balance has a mixed effect on attendance demand for Test cricket in England and a negative effect on attendance demand for Test and one-day international cricket in Australia. The effect of competitive balance on demand for English one-day international cricket is unclear due to a large proportion of supply constrained matches. My findings present an argument for the International Cricket Council to introduce a two-tiered system into international cricket. This study is also distinctive in economic literature through a first assessment of the determinants of the demand for one-day international cricket. In particular, day/night matches raise average attendance considerably at one-day international matches in Australia, whereas day/night matches reduce average attendance at one-day international matches in England. Both results carry significant implications with regard to the scheduling of one-day international cricket matches in both countries

Desenvolvimento de guia alimentar e nutricional para celíacos

Nutrição.A doença celíaca (DC) é um distúrbio sistêmico imunomediado, desencadeado por glúten e prolaminas relacionadas, que afeta indivíduos geneticamente suscetíveis, e é caracterizado pela presença de uma combinação variável de manifestações clínicas dependentes da ingestão de glúten, anticorpos específicos para DC, haplótipos HLA-DQ2 ou HLA-DQ8 e enteropatia. Entre as principais manifestações da DC está a má absorção de nutrientes por conta da inflamação intestinal (WIERDSMA et al., 2013). A dieta sem glúten (DSG) estrita é, até o momento, o único tratamento para a DC e a sua adesão, além de levar à recuperação da mucosa intestinal implicando na melhora dos sintomas, está associada ao aumento da qualidade de vida dos pacientes. No entanto, a DSG, na falta de orientações adequadas, pode ocasionar desequilíbrios nutricionais, como a possível deficiência de vitaminas e minerais e o consumo excessivo de farinhas refinadas, ricas em amidos e pobres em fibras, além do excesso de açúcares simples e gorduras (NAIK; SEIDNER; ADAMS, 2018; THOMPSON et al., 2005; NASCIMENTO et al., 2014) Apesar da importância do tratamento, muitos celíacos não aderem estritamente à DSG. A falta de informação e conhecimento sobre a doença por parte dos celíacos e seus conviventes é um dos fatores que influenciam essa não adesão ao tratamento (ANDREOLI et al., 2013; SAINSBURY et al., 2018; LUDVIGSSON et al., 2014; PRATESI et al., 2018). Portanto, materiais informativos acessíveis, como guias e manuais, com informações embasadas na literatura, são necessários para ajudar na compreensão do funcionamento da doença e reafirmar que a adesão à DSG é fundamental para a melhora dos sintomas, aumento da qualidade de vida e prevenção de comorbidades relacionadas à DC. No Brasil existem poucos materiais informativos sobre a DC, voltados aos pacientes e seus conviventes, orientando sobre a importância da DSG balanceada no tratamento, de uma forma em que excessos e faltas nutricionais sejam evitadas. Portanto, o objetivo deste trabalho foi desenvolver um Guia Alimentar e Nutricional para Celíacos, com orientações para os pacientes, seus familiares e demais conviventes, explorando a diversificação e qualidade da DSG, com atenção para o controle e manutenção das principais deficiências nutricionais encontradas tanto no momento do diagnóstico, quando ao longo da dieta

Pulsatile flow between two coaxial porous cylinders with slip on inner cylinder

A fully developed, axisymmetric, pulsatile motion of an incompressible Newtonian fluid,under the action of an oscillatory pressure gradient, has been considered in this work. The fl ow is assumed to take place in the annular space between two coaxial circular cylinders, the outer one a porous cylinder of uniform permeability and the inner one a naturally permeable tube. There arises a coupled flow, which has been analysed by solving the Navier-Stokes equations in the free fluid region and the Darcy's equation in the porous region, together with the Beavers-Joseph slip condition at the free fl uid-porous medium interface. Using an appropriate set of similarity variables, the governing partial differential equations have been transformed to a system of nonlinear ordinary differential equations. The solution of the resulting system, together with appropriate boundary conditions, has been obtained, for a special case, by a perturbation approach. It has been assumed that the frequency of pulsation and the suction parameter are small (<< 1). The variation of velocity pro les, pressure drop and skin friction has been illustrated in a number of cases of interest. Steady creeping motion of a liquid bubble in an immiscible viscous fluid bounded by a vertical porous cylinder of finite thickness

The creeping vertical motion of a fluid sphere (drop or gas) or liquid bubbles of different shapes in another immiscible fluid confined by porous boundaries is encountered in several situations in industry and technology. Such flows are generally multi-phase in nature. In this work, we have considered a flow field comprising a non-Newtonian bubble region surrounded by a liquid film of Newtonian fluid. This inner region is bounded by a permeable cylindrical medium pervaded by the same Newtonian fluid. We have studied the interaction features of this multiphase flow in terms of certain practically important geometrical and physical parameters. We have carried out an exact analysis of the governing equations in the three flow fields-Non-Newtonian, Newtonian film and porous regions. The effects of pressure gradient, permeability and rheological parameters on the bubble velocity and the flow in different regions have been discussed

Tromboembolismo venoso em pacientes pediátricos associado ao uso do cateter : experiência de 5 anos em um centro de referência para reabilitação intestinal

Objetivo: Analisar o perfil clínico, laboratorial e epidemiológico dos pacientes pediátricos com falência intestinal que apresentaram diagnóstico de tromboembolismo venoso (TEV) associado ao uso de cateter venoso central (CVC). Métodos: Estudo de coorte, envolvendo crianças e adolescentes com falência intestinal, com indicação do uso de nutrição parenteral total (NPT), que tiveram diagnóstico ou não de trombose venosa, em acompanhamento no programa de Reabilitação Intestinal do Hospital de Clínicas de Porto Alegre, dentre o período de julho de 2014 a julho de 2019. Resultados: Foram revisados prontuários de 52 pacientes, sendo a maioria do sexo masculino e com mediana de idade de 4 meses (IIQ 2-8.75 meses). Vinte e quatro pacientes foram diagnosticados com trombose durante o seguimento, com uma taxa de incidência de 0,9 tromboses por 1.000 cateteres-dia (Intervalo de confiança [IC] de 95%: 0,57-1,33/1000 cateteres/dia). Houve uma associação significativa entre trombose e o tempo de internação (p = 0,022) e o número de cateteres inseridos (p = 0,001). Evoluíram a óbito dez pacientes, vinte e dois ficaram em uso de NPT domiciliar, dezenove foram reabilitados e um foi encaminhado para transplante intestinal. Conclusão: Crianças com falência intestinal necessitando de nutrição parenteral total por longo prazo apresentam alto risco de desenvolver TEV associado ao uso de CVC, sendo importante desenvolver protocolos e estratégias visando a redução desta complicação.Objective: Analyze the clinical, laboratory and epidemiological profile of pediatric patients with intestinal failure who presented a diagnosis of venous thromboembolism (VTE) associated with central venous catheter (CVC) use. Methods: Cohort study involving children and adolescents with intestinal failure, with indication of total parenteral nutrition (TPN) use, who were diagnosed or not with venous thrombosis. All considered patients were part of the Intestinal Rehabilitation program at the Hospital de Clínicas de Porto Alegre, from July 2014 to July 2019. Results: The medical records of 52 patients were reviewed, being the majority male and with median age of 4 months (IQR 2-8.75 months). Twenty-four patients were diagnosed with thrombosis during follow-up, with an incidence rate of 0.9 thrombosis per 1.000 catheter-days (95% confidence interval [CI]: 0.57-1.33/1000 catheters/day). There was a significant association between thrombosis and length of stay in hospital (p=0.022) and the numbers of catheters inserted (p=0.001). Ten patients died, twenty-two maintained the use of TPN at home, nineteen were rehabilitated and one patient was referred for intestinal transplantation. Conclusion: Children with intestinal failure requiring TPN for a long term presented high risk of developing VTE associated with the use of CVC. Therefore it is important to develop protocols and strategies aimed at reducing this complication

Já o estágio supervisionado possibilita ao aluno desenvolver atividades específicas para se preparar efetivamente para a atividade docente.
