The political participation of the popular classes in three movements, Recife (c. 1880 - c. 1900)

A partir do Recife, a narrativa tem por fio condutor três movimentos sociais estabelecidos em torno de manifestações públicas com apelo a? participação das classes populares, são eles: o movimento abolicionista, o republicano e o operário. Propondo uma perspectiva ampliada da participação política, o presente estudo procura evidenciar a existência de uma cultura política múltipla e difusa que transbordava os limites formais do sistema representativo. Based on Recife, the events that I intend to analyze took place in the midst of three subsequent movements marked by their great potential to promote large popular mobs, they are: the abolitionist movement, the republican movement, and the labor movement. Proposing an extended perspective of political participation, the present study seeks to demonstrate the existence of a multiple and diffuse political culture that overflowed the formal limits of the representative system. Effect of Polydextrose on the Growth of Pediococcus pentosaceus as Well as Lactic Acid and Bacteriocin-like Inhibitory Substances (BLIS) Production

Pediococcus pentosaceus was cultivated in MRS medium supplemented or not with polydextrose under different conditions in order to evaluate its effect on cell growth, lactic acid and bacteriocin-like inhibitory substance (BLIS) production. Independent variables were pH (4.0, 5.0, 6.0), rotational speed (50, 100, 150 rpm), polydextrose concentration (0.5, 1.0, 1.5%) and temperature (25, 30, 35 °C), while cell concentration and productivity after 24 h, maximum specific growth rate, specific rate of substrate (glucose) consumption, volumetric and specific lactic acid productivities, yields of biomass and lactic acid on consumed substrate were the dependent . The maximum cell concentration (10.24 ± 0.16 gX L−1) and productivity (0.42 ± 0.01gX L−1 h−1) were achieved at pH 6.0, 35 °C, 150 rpm using 1.5% polydextrose, while the maximum specific growth rate (0.99 ± 0.01 h−1) and yield of biomass (2.96 ± 0.34gX gS−1) were achieved at the same pH and polydextrose concentration, but at 25 °C and 50 rpm. The specific substrate consumption rate (0.09 ± 0.02 gS gX−1 h−1) and the volumetric lactic acid productivity (0.44 ± 0.02 gP L−1 h−1) were maximized at pH 6.0, 35 °C, 50 rpm and 0.5% polydextrose. BLIS produced in this last run displayed the highest antibacterial activity against Escherichia coli, while the same activity was displayed against Enterococcus faecium using 1.5% polydextrose. Natural products in drug discovery: meeting the urgency for new antimicrobials for human and veterinary use

The scenario of growing microbial resistance and of lack of interest of pharmaceutical companies in developing new antimicrobial drugs jeopardizes the present and the future of the treatment of infectious diseases. Different approaches such as antimicrobial peptides and CRISP-R have been explored to manage this situation, however, they have important limitations such as their high cost. Natural products comprise complex molecular structures for which reports of bacterial resistance are rare. They present specific and/or unspecific mechanisms of action that can be explored to provide safe and effective management of infectious diseases. In this review we assessed phytoextracts with evidence of their benefits for treating infectious diseases in humans and animals, towards the use of data for clinical and experimental purposes. O valor do índice tibial branquial na evolução da função renal em renais crônicos

-OBJETIVO: Avaliar a relação entre doença vascular periférica e função renal no período de 3 anos em uma população de alto risco cardiovascular, portadora de doença renal crônica (DRC). MÉTODOS: Foram avaliados 99 pacientes portadores de DRC estágio 3, 4 e 5, acompanhados no ambulatório de prevenção de doença renal crônica (PREVENRIM) não submetidos a terapia renal substitutiva por um período de 3 anos. Todos os pacientes realizaram as medidas do ITB no início do acompanhamento e da creatinina sérica no início do estudo e após 3 anos. Consideramos como alteração significativa da creatinina sérica elevação de 50% do nível basal, e caracterizamos como portador de doença vascular periférica (DVP) valores do ITB 1, 26,3% ITB entre 0,9 e 0,99 e 30,3% tiveram o diagnóstico de DVP (ITB 1 apresentou 21,6% dos pacientes com alteração, o grupo com ITB 0,9 a 0,99 apresentou 22,7% e o grupo com ITB 50% em 3 anos em relação ao grupo de referência (ITB entre 0,9 e 0,99) (odds ratio 2,05 / p< 0,05). Houve correlação entre o risco cardiovascular e o valor do ITB na população estudada (r=-0,249 / p=0,013). CONCLUSÃO: A presença de DVP ao início do acompanhamento foi associada a declínio da função renal ao longo do tempo, e a aumento do risco cardiovascular em pacientes portadores de DRC

Protagonização do enfermeiro na educação em saúde da gestante adolescente

The aim was to understand the role of nurses in the health education of pregnant adolescents. This is an integrative review research, it includes the theoretical concepts of approach, the set of techniques that enable the construction of reality and the divine breath of the creative potential of the investigated. Related to the period from 2015 to 2019, 15 articles in Portuguese were evidenced, related to the theme of the study. For a better understanding of the study, it was decided to divide the topic in question into three different moments for discussion, which are Nurses' role in health education for pregnant adolescents; Role of the nurse as an educator in the health of pregnant adolescents and Nurse's guidelines regarding the prenatal care of pregnant adolescents. Health education is essential for the prevention of early pregnancy in Brazil and in the world. It is noteworthy that education should not be the competence of only one professional category, but of the entire multiprofessional team.Objetivou-se compreender a protagonização do enfermeiro na educação em saúde da gestante adolescente. Trata-se de uma pesquisa de revisão integrativa, inclui as concepções teóricas de abordagem, o conjunto de técnicas que possibilitam a construção da realidade e o sopro divino do potencial criativo do investigado. Relacionado ao recorte temporal de 2015 a 2019, foi evidenciado 15 artigos em português, relacionados à temática do estudo. Para maior compreensão com respeito ao estudo, optou-se por dividir o tema em questão em três momentos distintos para discussão, que são: Protagonização do enfermeiro na educação em saúde da gestante adolescente; Papel do enfermeiro como educador em saúde da gestante adolescente e Orientações do enfermeiro frente ao pré-natal da gestante adolescente. A educação em saúde é fundamental para a prevenção da gravidez precoce no Brasil e no mundo. Ressalta-se que a educação não deve ser competência apenas de uma categoria profissional, mas, de toda a equipe multiprofissional

A INFLUÊNCIA DOS FATORES INTERNOS NA CAPACIDADE ABSORTIVA DAS PEQUENAS EMPRESAS PERNAMBUCANAS

O objetivo deste estudo é analisar a influência dos fatores internos na Capacidade Absortiva (ACAP) das pequenas e médias empresas pernambucanas participantes do programa ALI (Agentes Locais de Inovação) do SEBRAE. A Capacidade Absortiva (ACAP) foi mensurada pelo Grau de Inovação Setorial (GIS) calculado a partir do Radar da Inovação. Para analisar a variação na ACAP foram comparados os índices do GIS antes e após a implementação das ações propostas pelos ALIs. O framework utilizado para analisar a influência dos fatores internos foi operacionalizado pelo modelo DEA (Data Envelopment Analysis). O Capital Social (SOC) apresentou fraca correlação positiva com a Capacidade Absortiva (ACAP). O Capital Empreendedor (EMC) também apresentou fraca correlação positiva com a ACAP no subgrupo das empresas com os menores índices iniciais de inovação. Os resultados também indicaram que as empresas inicialmente pouco dedicadas à inovação tiveram melhor Capacidade Absortiva (ACAP).
