    O trabalho tem como objetivo analisar a iconografia relacionada à temática afrobrasileira nas dezenove coleções aprovadas pelo Plano Nacional do Livro Didático, nos anos de 2012 a 2014. Para isso, procedeu-se a catalogação das imagens em Microsoft Excel identificando seus aspectos materiais (as informações que o livro fornece da imagem) e de contexto (localização da imagem no interior da publicação, relação da imagem com o texto verbal, além de observações feitas sobre peculiaridades das coleções)

    Temperature of denture base resin under different protocols of microwave irradiation

    This in vitro study evaluated the temperature of dentures after different microwave irradiation protocols. Two complete dentures (one maxillary and one mandibular denture) were irradiated separately 4 times for each of the following 5 protocols: dentures immersed in water (G1- 6 min, G2- 3 min); dentures kept dry (G3- 6 min); dentures placed in the steam sterilizer (G4- 6 min, G5- 3 min). The final temperature of the dentures was gauged in a thin and in a thick area of each denture with an infrared thermometer. All groups presented an increase in the resin base temperature. The thin areas of the dentures underwent greater heating than the thick areas. There was no significant difference (p&gt;0.05) between the final mean temperatures of dentures immersed in water for 6 (G1) and 3 min (G2). However, the final mean temperatures recorded in G1 and G2 exceeded 71°C and were significantly higher (<0.001) than the final mean temperatures recorded in the other groups. It may be concluded that denture base resins subjected to microwave irradiation immersed in water may be exposed to deleterious temperatures.Este estudo in vitro avaliou a temperatura de próteses submetidas a diferentes protocolos de irradiação de microondas. Duas próteses totais (uma superior e outra inferior) foram irradiadas separadamente quatro vezes para cada um dos 5 protocolos que se seguem: prótese imersas em água (G1- 6 min, G2- 3 min); prótese a seco (G3-6 min); prótese no vapor (G4- 6 min, G5- 3 min). A temperatura final das próteses foi aferida em uma área fina e uma área espessa de cada prótese com um termômetro de infravermelho. Os resultados mostraram que todos os grupos sofreram aumento de temperatura. As áreas finas da prótese tiveram mais aumento da temperatura que as áreas espessas. Não houve uma diferença estatisticamente significante (p&gt;0,05) entre a média da temperatura final das próteses imersas em água por 6 (G1) e 3 min (G2). Entretanto, a temperatura final média observada no G1 e G2 excederam 71o C e foram significativamente maiores (p<0,001) que a temperatura final média dos outros grupos. Pode-se concluir que as bases de prótese submetidas à irradiação por microondas imersas em água podem estar expostas a temperaturas deletérias.Universidade de São Paulo USP - PIBI

    Building Information Modeling (BIM) is a topic of major relevance as the current Brazilian legislation, through BIM BR Strategy - a governmental plan establishing that such technology should be used in the execution of engineering works and services, forcing contractors to adapt to the new reality. In the Brazilian market, the difficulty in attesting the efficient use of BIM is linked to the lack of a certificate to guarantee the services provided by Architecture, Engineering, Construction and Operation (AECO) professionals. The purpose of this study is to create an evaluation model for certification (CUB-e), so that companies can attest the level of BIM in which they operate. For doing so, surveys and researches were carried out through interviews in technical visits to institutions that already operate in BIM, in order to obtain information on the current level of application of the technology in the job market. 

    Diseño y construcción de un equipo para ensayos de lubricación hidrodinámica para el laboratorio de tribología de la Universidad Politécnica Salesiana - Campus Kennedy

    El presente proyecto tiene como fin el diseñar y construir una máquina de ensayos que permita observar la curva de presiones de lubricante dentro de un cojinete sometido a lubricación hidrodinámica al combinar diferentes cargas y velocidades. Estas presiones se observan mediante tomas de presión alrededor del cojinete, llevadas a un panel mediante mangueras en las que se presenta la presión como alturas de lubricante debido a la presión hidrostática. En el capítulo 1 se describe la teoría de lubricación y tipos de lubricación. Se pone énfasis en la lubricación hidrodinámica ya que el equipo de ensayos es diseñado para su estudio. En el capítulo 2 se realiza un análisis de alternativas para elegir el diseño adecuado dando importancia al factor didáctico. En el capítulo 3 se realiza el diseño del cojinete y la selección del equipamiento adicional que conforma la máquina de ensayos. Se realizan cálculos en base a fórmulas desarrolladas en el capítulo 1 y se busca parámetros óptimos de diseño para el cojinete. En el capítulo 4 se presenta un análisis de resultados teóricos y experimentales utilizando graficas de dispersión comparativas entre diferentes variables para entender su efecto en el fenómeno de lubricación hidrodinámica. En el capítulo 5 se detalla los rubros respectivos del equipo y material mecánico, eléctrico y electrónico; además se determinan costos de manufactura. En el capítulo 6 se presentan las prácticas de laboratorio que pueden ser realizadas con el equipo construido. Finalmente, se presentan las conclusiones, recomendaciones, lista de referencias, prácticas de laboratorio y anexos.The following project aims to design and build an educational equipment for hydrodynamic lubrication study, which will show the pressure distribution in a journal bearing by combining different loads and speeds on it. Values of pressure will be taken thanks to pressure tappings around the bearing. These values will be represented by the height of oil in manometric tubes due to hydrostatic pressure. Chapter 1 describes lubrication theory and types of lubrication. Hydrodynamic lubrication is very prominent in this chapter because the machine will study that specifical kind. In chapter 2, there is an alternatives analysis to choose the right design giving priority to the educational aspect, because the machine will be used for laboratory experimentation. In chapter 3, the design of the bearing is made based on the alternative chosen in the previous chapter. Also, the additional equipment that makes up the machine is selected. Calculations are performed based on the formulations of chapter 1 and optimal design parameters for the journal bearing. In chapter 4, there is an analysis of theoretical and experimental results using comparative dispersion graphs using different variables, to understand their effect over the phenomenon of hydrodynamic lubrication. In chapter 5, the costs of mechanical, electrical and electronic equipment are detailed. Also the cost of labor is shown. In Chapter 6 the labs that can be enhanced with the built equipment are shown Finally, conclusions, recommendations, list of references, guides for experiments and annexes are exposed

    Structures and Precautions of the Fundação Nacional do Índio:: Analysis of National Management Reports 2008-2018

    The present work aims to analyze aspects of FUNAI management present in its national reports in order to assess the possibilities of action and the precariousness in the state indigenist agency. Considering this objective, the procedures were documental research, for data collection, and content analysis, to understand the data collected. Five categories were highlighted from the reports: People Management, Demarcation and Inspection of Indigenous Lands and Protection of Isolated Indians, Ethnodevelopment and Territorial/Environmental Management, Budget and Execution of the Agency and Licensing and Compensation for Enterprises. Such categories allowed us to conclude that FUNAI, as an official indigenist body, is precarious in many aspects of its management, which prevents it from carrying out actions that are part of its institutional mission

    Predador-presa: estratégias de predação de Leptodactylus macrosternum e comportamento defensivo de Leptodactylus fuscus

    Congeneric predation between two Leptodactylus species was recorded and information was collected on the predation strategy of L. macrosternum and the defensive behavior and distress call of L. fuscus. The entire predation event lasted about 90 min and ended when predator tore integument of the prey's ventral region, facilitating swallowing. The distress call description was based on a record of 40 s containing seven calls, consisting of a pulsatile and harmonically complex structure composed of two notes. Although the batrachophagy is well-documented in the genus Leptodactylus, descriptions of predatory and defensive behaviors are not fully described. Thus, the defensive behaviors observed here made predation a physiologically taxing event, while we look at how the predator can use various mechanisms to overcome prey defensive behaviors.A predação congenérica entre duas espécies de Leptodactylus foi registrada além de reunidas informações sobre as estratégias de predação de L. macrosternum e o comportamento defensivo e canto de socorro de L. fuscus. Todo o evento de predação durou cerca de 90 minutos e terminou após o predador ter rasgado o tegumento da presa, facilitando a deglutição. A descrição do canto de socorro foi baseada em um registro de 40 s contendo sete chamados, consistindo em uma estrutura pulsátil e harmonicamente complexa composta por duas notas. Embora a batracofagia esteja bem documentada no gênero Leptodactylus, a descrição dos comportamentos predatórios e defensivos não são completamente descritos. Assim, os comportamentos defensivos observados aqui tornaram a predação um evento fisiologicamente desgastante, enquanto observamos como o predador pode usar vários mecanismos para superar os comportamentos defensivos da presa

    Formal conceptualisation as a basic for a more procedural knowledge management

    Knowledge management at an organisational level can only be brought into practice if a corporate memory is defined. Unfortunately, at this moment there is no complete and procedural specification on how to build it. This paper presents a complete and generic knowledge representation scheme that makes it possible to conceptualise/represent the knowledge of any domain in a systematic way, guiding the definition of a corporate memory and allowing us to reach a more procedural level in knowledge management discipline. The conclusions of our study, which follows the generic and formal definition of any conceptualisation, are illustrated by a real project

    Technological Use of Flour Obtained from the Byproducts of Passion Fruit Albedo and the Residue of the Extraction of the Star Fruit Juice in the Formulation of Cereal Bars

    The fruits industrialization process for the production of new food products generates a significant number of agroindustrial residues. The use of these residues in the formulation of new products such as cereal bars adds nutritional value to foods and helps in the reduction of environmental impacts. The objective of this work was to produce flours from the star fruit residue and the passion fruit albedo, to attain the physicochemical characterization and to elaborate three cereal bars formulations with variation in the contents of the flour produced. The results indicate that the star fruit and the passion fruit’s albedo can be considered as an alternative source of nutrients, ranging from energy supplementation to its insertion in derived products due to its technological characteristics. The developed cereal bars were widely accepted, and most evaluators reported that they would buy such products. DOI:&nbsp;http://dx.doi.org/10.17807/orbital.v10i3.110
