Derivados financieros: fundamentos teóricos y lecciones recientes. Análisis de datos de derivados sobre el índice bursátil español

[Resumen] Los derivados financieros han ido adquiriendo interés recientemente, por lo que el presente proyecto pretende adentrarse en el universo de estos productos financieros de tal modo que se consiga entender su funcionamiento e implicaciones actuales, así como la repercusión de la que estos instrumentos gozan actualmente. Así, en primer lugar se realiza una revisión de la literatura concerniente a esta temática, a continuación se hace un análisis sobre la evolución de los datos referentes a la negociación de estos instrumentos sobre el mercado español y, por último, se concluye que, a pesar de ser productos cuyas características no son conocidas en profundidad por el público, resultan muy útiles además de tener implicaciones relevantes tanto para la empresas como para la sociedad. Se ha llegado a esta conclusión gracias al análisis de datos realizado en base al mercado español donde, en general, se ve la repercusión que la reciente crisis financiera ha tenido en la contratación de estos productos reflejándose este hecho en los niveles de negociación. Además, con base en estos años también se han originado cambios en las tendencias de negociación de los productos derivados pasando a negociarse un mayor porcentaje de opciones frente a futuros, y más derivados sobre índices que derivados sobre acciones.[Abstract] Financial derivatives have recently gained remarkable interest, so this project aims to delve into the universe of these financial products in such a way that its dynamics and current implications can be understood, as well as the impact that these instruments are currently having. Thus, firstly a review of the literature concerning this theme is carried out, followed by an analysis of the evolution concerning data about the negotiation of these instruments in the Spanish market and, finally, it is concluded that, despite being products whose characteristics are not usually well-known, they are very useful and the have important implications both for companies and society. Also, analyses of data based on the Spanish market have led to the conclusion that the recent financial crisis has had an effect on the trading of these products with reflection on the levels of negotiation. Besides, there is also a change in trading trends arising around these years, with higher percentage of traded options when compared to futures and higher percentage of traded derivatives on indexes when compared to derivatives on actions.Traballo fin de grao (UDC.ECO). Rompiendo el borde. Centro de Recuperación e Investigación de la huerta valenciana en el límite oeste de Nazaret

[ES] Nazaret es un barrio que históricamente ha crecido entre el mar y la huerta. Sin embargo, tras la ampliación del puerto de Valencia y la perdida de parte de su identidad, se ha convertido en un barrio degradado y aislado del resto de la ciudad. El proyecto pretende llevar a cabo una propuesta de regeneración urbana del límite oeste de Nazaret para recuperar la conexión con Valencia y la puesta en valor del paisaje de huerta valenciano tanto por su actividad agraria como por su patrimonio natural, paisajístico y cultural. La intervención se basa en tres puntos: la recuperación del parcelario agrícola en una zona industrial degradada, el tratamiento de los bordes urbanos entre el barrio de Nazaret y la huerta de La Punta mediante la creación de recorridos que favorezcan las comunicaciones y la construcción de un centro educativo y cultural conectado con la naturaleza e integrado paisajísticamente.[EN] Nazareth is a neighbourhood that has historically grown between the sea and the orchard. However, after the expansion of the port of Valencia and the loss of part of its identity, it has become a degraded neighbourhood isolated from the rest of the city. The project seeks to carry out a proposal for the urban regeneration of the western edge of Nazareth in order to recover the connection with Valencia and the enhancement of the Valencian huerta landscape both for its agricultural activity and for its natural, landscape and cultural heritage. The intervention is based on three points: the recovery of the agricultural plot in a degraded industrial zone, the treatment of the urban borders between the district of Nazareth and the huerta of La Punta through the creation of routes that favour communications and the construction of an educational and cultural centre connected to nature and integrated into the landscape.Serra Albert, N. El jardin del Turia en Valencia visto desde la perspectiva de género

[ES] El trabajo estudiará el Jardin del Turia en la ciudad de Valencia desde la perspectiva de género. Este espacio publico extraordinario es empleado a diario por un elevadisimo numero de personas, tanto residentes como visitantes. El objetivo del presente trabajo es, a partir del conocimiento básico del sentido de la incorporación de la perspectiva de género en los espacios públicos, la revisión y análisis en este caso, y una propuesta de acciones a realizar para la mejora de sus condiciones.[EN] The work will study the Jardin del Turia in the city of Valencia from a gender perspective. This extraordinary public space is used daily by a very high number of people, both residents and visitors. Convexity properties of superpositions of degenerate bipartite eigenstates

The entanglement content of superpositions of pairs of degenerate eigenstates of a bipartite system is considered in the case that both eigenstates are also eigenstates of the z component of the total angular momentum. It is shown that the von Neumann entropy of the state that is obtained tracing out one of the parts of the system has a definite convexity (concavity) as a function of the superposition parameter and that its convexity (concavity) can be predicted using a quantity of information that measures the entropy shared by the states at the extremes of the superposition. Several examples of two-particle systems, whose eigenfunctions and density matrices can be obtained exactly, are analyzed thoroughly.Fil: Giovenale, Natalia Agustina. Sentido subjetivo de la participación de madres y padres en la institución educativa N° 58 Mary Ward

La presente investigación explora el sentido subjetivo de la participación de madres y padres en la Institución Educativa Fe y Alegría N° 58 Mary Ward, a partir del análisis de los significados que elaboran al respecto de ello y los afectos involucrados al participar, según lo recogido de sus propios discursos. El interés de explorar el sentido subjetivo surge de considerar a la participación como un fenómeno básicamente relacional, en el que impacta tanto la subjetividad individual, como social. La investigación encuentra que los significados de la participación para estas madres y padres hacen referencia a tres aspectos: involucrarse con la escuela y con los procesos educativos de sus hijos, apoyar en la gestión escolar con recursos y presencia y finalmente coordinar a nivel de APAFA y Comités de Aula, es decir que los significados que establecen se refieren fundamentalmente a cuestiones relacionadas con su sentido de pertenencia sobre la escuela y la mejora de la calidad y eficiencia de ésta. Asimismo, se identifica que al participar se involucran afectos en relación a la escuela, a la directora como autoridad y al entorno territorial, resultando particularmente relevante la identidad comunitaria y el compromiso hacia la escuela, construidos a partir de los vínculos afectivos positivos entablados con la directora. Los resultados permiten analizar el contraste entre la participación desde la Psicología Comunitaria y la investigación educativa versus la realidad de una experiencia concreta. Se concluye que es posible generar procesos participativos de madres y padres, que contribuyan a la transformación de la escuela como comunidad, si se parte de una condición básica previa, su reconocimiento como sujetos de derechos con una responsabilidad activa en la educación de sus hijas e hijos.The present investigation explores the subjective sense of the participation of parents in Fe y Alegría N° 58 Mary Ward School, from the analysis of the meanings they elaborated about it and the emotions involved to participate, according to what their own discourses gathered. The interest to explore the subjective sense arises from the consideration of that participation as a relational phenomenon, which impacts as much as their individual subjectivities, as the social ones. The investigation finds that the meanings of the participation of those parents refer to three main aspects: to get involved with the school and the educational processes of their children, to give support in the school management with resources and active participation and finally to coordinate with the APAFA and classroom committees, where the meanings that are established refer basically to situations related to their sense of belonging to school and the improvement of its quality and efficiency. Also, it is identified that when participating, affects related to the school are involved, to the principal as an authority and to the whole territorial surrounding, giving a relevant result in the community identity and their commitment towards the school, built from the positive affective bonds established with the principal. The results allow us to analyze the contrast between the participation from the Community Psychology and the educational investigation versus the reality of a concrete experience. The conclusion is that is possible to generate participative processes of parents that will contribute in the transformation of the school as a community, if we start from a basic precondition, their acknowledgment as beings with rights and with an active responsibility in the education of their children.Tesi

JAK inhibitors: A new dawn for oral therapies in inflammatory bowel diseases

JAK inhibitors; Oral therapies; Small moleculesInhibidors de JAK; Teràpies orals; Molècules petitesInhibidores de JAK; Terapias orales; Moléculas pequeñasInflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is a chronic immune-mediated condition of the gastrointestinal tract that requires chronic treatment and strict surveillance. Development of new monoclonal antibodies targeting one or a few single cytokines, including anti-tumor necrosis factor agents, anti-IL 12/23 inhibitors, and anti-α4β7 integrin inhibitors, have dominated the pharmacological armamentarium in IBD in the last 20 years. Still, many patients experience incomplete or loss of response or develop serious adverse events and drug discontinuation. Janus kinase (JAK) is key to modulating the signal transduction pathway of several proinflammatory cytokines directly involved in gastrointestinal inflammation and, thus, probably IBD pathogenesis. Targeting the JAK-STAT pathway offers excellent potential for the treatment of IBD. The European Medical Agency has approved three JAK inhibitors for treating adults with moderate to severe Ulcerative Colitis when other treatments, including biological agents, have failed or no longer work or if the patient cannot take them. Although there are currently no approved JAK inhibitors for Crohn’s disease, upadacitinib and filgotinib have shown increased remission rates in these patients. Other JAK inhibitors, including gut-selective molecules, are currently being studied IBD. This review will discuss the JAK-STAT pathway, its implication in the pathogenesis of IBD, and the most recent evidence from clinical trials regarding the use of JAK inhibitors and their safety in IBD patients

Cyclopeptides natural products as Herbicides and Inhibitors of Cyanobacteria. Synthesis of Versicotides E and F

The first total synthesis of cyclopeptides versicotide E and F, natural products produced by marine fungus Aspergillus versicolor LZD-14-1, was achieved in good yield by solid phase peptide synthesis (SPPS) of their linear precursors and solution phase cyclization. All the versicotides A-F were evaluated as herbicides and inhibitors of cyanobacterial growth. Versicotides A, B, D, E and F showed a significant inhibition of Rye grass seed’s radicle growth at a concentration of 67µg/mL. Versicotides A, B and D also inhibited seed germination and leaf development. On the other hand, Versicotides D and F caused a relevant reduction on Microcystis aeruginosa population when cultures on exponential growth were incubated with 40 µg/mL solutions of these compounds. Evaluation of the concentration of microcystins after these treatments showed that versicotide D inhibited the production of microcystins in a comparable extent to the positive control, colistine. These results indicate versicotides, with versicotides D and F as top hits, could be considered as lead candidates in the development of bioherbicides able to mitigate the environmental impact that the evolution of agriculture has had on water quality.Agencia Nacional de Investigación e InnovaciónUniversidad de la República. Multivariate Analysis and Modelling of multiple Brain endOphenotypes: Let's MAMBO!

Imaging genetic studies aim to test how genetic information influences brain structure and function by combining neuroimaging-based brain features and genetic data from the same individual. Most studies focus on individual correlation and association tests between genetic variants and a single measurement of the brain. Despite the great success of univariate approaches, given the capacity of neu- roimaging methods to provide a multiplicity of cerebral phenotypes, the development and application of multivariate methods become crucial. In this article, we review novel methods and strategies focused on the analysis of multiple phenotypes and genetic data. We also discuss relevant aspects of multi-trait modelling in the context of neuroimag- ing data
