Towards the implementation of a preference-and uncertain-aware solver using answer set programming

Logic programs with possibilistic ordered disjunction (or LPPODs) are a recently defined logic-programming framework based on logic programs with ordered disjunction and possibilistic logic. The framework inherits the properties of such formalisms and merging them, it supports a reasoning which is nonmonotonic, preference-and uncertain-aware. The LPPODs syntax allows to specify 1) preferences in a qualitative way, and 2) necessity values about the certainty of program clauses. As a result at semantic level, preferences and necessity values can be used to specify an order among program solutions. This class of program therefore fits well in the representation of decision problems where a best option has to be chosen taking into account both preferences and necessity measures about information. In this paper we study the computation and the complexity of the LPPODs semantics and we describe the algorithm for its implementation following on Answer Set Programming approach. We describe some decision scenarios where the solver can be used to choose the best solutions by checking whether an outcome is possibilistically preferred over another considering preferences and uncertainty at the same time.Postprint (published version

Everyday vocabulary in medieval documents from the Southern province of Ávila, 2

Este trabajo expone los usos de algunas parcelas del léxico perteneciente a la vida cotidiana (actividad agrícola, ganadera, otras actividades y alimentos) en un corpus documental del sur de la provincia de Ávila a lo largo del siglo XV. Continúa otro de las mismas autoras (2019). Es en primer lugar descriptivo, mediante la exposición de las voces seleccionadas de los testimonios consultados; a continuación, el análisis pasa a la comparación con otros corpus coetáneos y con distintas fuentes lexicográficas. Ofrece además información sobre los usos actuales de las voces estudiadas en la zona, información obtenida mediante encuestas hechas en el terreno. El repertorio léxico expuesto nos acerca a su uso cronológico y diatópico y en consecuencia a una mejor caracterización de la variedad lingüística de esta zona.This article sheds light on some lexical items from the semantic field of everyday life (agricultural activity, livestock, other activities and food) in a corpus from the south province of Avila throughout the 15th century. It is also the continuation of another forthcoming article (2019). First of all, it starts with a description of these lexical items in context; next, there is a contrastive analysis with similar diachronic corpora using different lexicographical sources. It also offers some information on the current uses of the words in the area, based on information obtained through field surveys. Thus, this lexical repertoire provides a better characterization of the current use of this linguistic variety from the diachronical and diatopic point of view.Junta de Castilla y León SA051G1

Caleidoscopio de poderes a través del documento fotográfico

The photo-documentary and historical competence have been combined in this article with an anthropomorphic, zoomorphic and phitomorphic look of the city of Lecce (Italy) and the toponymic coincidence between the name of the city of Apulia and the protagonist of the tales of Lewis Carroll. Real time photography will constitute the documentary source and the research and investigation tool for interpreting the historic life of the Salentian capital. A plethora of images through labyrinthine crossroads of the urban fabric are re-used on an illusionist game of wonderful puzzles to reveal some of the decorative elements that reflect the most representative age of the historical baroque Old Quarter. A dimension between art, science and technology is provided, thus creating new knowledge and new meanings.La competencia foto-documental y la histórica se han unido en este artículo con una mirada antropomórfica, zoomórfica y fitomórfica de la ciudad de Lecce (Italia) y la coincidencia topo-onomástica entre el nombre de la ciudad de Apulia y la protagonista de los cuentos de Lewis Carroll. Se parte de la fotografía en tiempo real como fuente documental y como instrumento de investigación e interpretación de la vida histórica de la capital salentina. Una plétora de imágenes por laberínticas encrucijadas del entramado urbano se reutilizan en un juego ilusionista de maravillosos enigmas para desvelar algunos de los elementos decorativos que reflejan la época más representativa del casco histórico barroco. Se proporciona una dimensión entre arte, ciencia y tecnología, creando nuevo conocimiento y nuevos significados

Estética y arte en la expresión fotográfica

La irrupción de la fotografía en el siglo XIX planteó algunas confusiones estéticas en cuanto se advirtieron mágicos poderes que hasta el momento ningún sistema de imágenes había llegado a alcanzar. La Revolución francesa y la aparición de la industria moderna durante esta época hicieron que buena parte del pensamiento estético centrase su atención en la relación del artista con la sociedad. En Inglaterra, John Ruskin y William Morris fueron los grandes críticos de la sociedad victoriana desde el punto de vista estético, denunciando la pérdida del buen gusto, la destrucción de la belleza natural y la trivialización del arte. La fotografía se convirtió en una actividad febril donde realismo y verdad objetiva eran requisitos imprescindibles en todos los modelos estéticos y literarios de la época

El Léxico de los documentos alfonsíes

This paper is an attempt to offer a general analysis of the lexis of the documents of the chancery of Alfonso X, assess their value for historical lexicography and the history of the Spanish language, but above all show how the lexical level manifests variation similar to that found at the phonetic and morphological level in the sense that variants are used that bear a relationship to the target language of the documents.Este trabajo trata de ofrecer un análisis general del léxico de los documentos de la cancillería de Alfonso X, de su valor para la lexicografía histórica y la historia de nuestra lengua; pero fundamentalmente intenta mostrar cómo este léxico ofrece la misma variación que los niveles fonético y morfológico, esto es, variantes que guardan relación con la lengua de destino de los documentos

Análisis del aprovechamiento del programa Absys en Andalucía hasta marzo de 1999

The degree of implementation of the Absys library programme in the centres included in the corporate license held by the Andalusian regional government is analysed focussing on 4 aspects: library/centre resources, use of the 8 basic functions of Absys, reference manuals and technical support. Of the 109 questionnaires sent to the 8 Andalusian provinces, 104 were returned fully answered: 6 from Almeria, 5 from Cadiz, 16 from Cordoba, 18 from Granada, 19 from Huelva, 4 from Jaen, 15 from Malaga and 21 from Seville. The province where there are the highest number of installations of the programme is Seville, followed by Huelva, Granada, Málaga and Cordoba
