Educación intercultural en los centros de personas adultas en Huelva

El trabajo que se presenta comienza realizando una reflexión sobe la interdependencia de las relaciones socioeconómicas y culturales en un mundo global. A continuación se realiza una breve reseña histórica sobre la evolución de la Educación de Personas Adultas hasta llegar al concepto de educación permanente y formación a lo largo de toda la vida de acuerdo con la actual Ley Orgánica de Ordenación General del Sistema educativo LOGSE. De esta manera, los Centros de Educación de Personas Adultas ofrecen una respuesta formativa y educativa a la población adulta en el seno de una sociedad multicultural como la que vivimos. Se dedica un amplio apartado al reto que tiene ante sí la Administración Educativa en la formación de los Equipos Docentes para abordar la interculturalidad. Se hace amplia referencia al Plan Andaluz de Educación de Inmigrantes como pieza clave para la intervención, reconociendo que es un instrumento fundamental para abordar la labor educativa desde una perspectiva intercultural y de género. Teniendo en cuenta que cada día es más numerosa y diversa la población inmigrante que acude a los Centros de Personas Adultas, se expone la preocupación que el profesorado ha puesto de manifiesto y el proceso de formación que se viene realizando desde el curso 1995/96 en esta línea, donde la labor de la intervención pedagógica, se considera imprescindible para abordar con calidad la complejidad de la educación intercultural.This work begins making a reflexion about the interdependence of the socioeconomic and cultural relations in a global world. Then, a brief historical outline about the evolution of the adult people´s education is made in order to arrive to the concept of permanent education and the training during all the life from in accordance with the current Organic Law of General Ordinaion of the Educational System L.O.G.S.E. In this way, the adult people´s educational centres offer a formative and educative answer to the adult population of a multicultural society like this where we are living. A wide section is dedicated to the challenge that the educative administration has in training the teaching staff to tackle the interculture. A large reference is dedicated to the Andaluz Plan of the Inmigrants´Education as a key piece for the intervention, recognizing that it´s an essential instrument to face the educative labour from an intercultural perspective which also takes into account the genre. As we know, the inmigrant population who go to the adult people´s centres is more numerous each time so teacher´s preocupations about this have been exposed in this work and the teaching process which has been making from the course 1995/96 in this way where the labour of the pedagogic intervention is considered indispensable to face the complexity of the intercultural education with quality is shown too

The impact of lava flows of 1706 in the city of Garachico. (Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain)

Uno de los escenarios eruptivos de mayor importancia en Canarias es el asociado al desarrollo de erupciones basálticas fisurales, de comportamiento efusivo y localizadas en sectores de rifts volcánicos de bajas tasas eruptivas. El 80% del volcanismo histórico producido en Canarias se ha localizado en estas estructuras y en el 60% de los casos las coladas se emplazan en ambientes litorales, densamente poblados, lo que las convierte en el riesgo volcánico más importante de las islas. La erupción de Garachico ha sido el fenómeno volcánico histórico de mayor impacto socioeconómico de Tenerife. Entre el 5 de mayo y el 13 de junio de 1706 se emitió 0,045 km3 de materiales volcánicos que cubrieron un área de 7,6 km2. Este trabajo se centra en los daños vinculados al emplazamiento de las coladas en el sector litoral, pues fueron las causantes de las mayores pérdidas provocadas por la erupción. Este estudio evidencia, asimismo, que el desarrollo de erupciones efusivas en rifts de este tipo obliga a contemplar no sólo los escenarios eruptivos más probables sino también los escenarios geográficos de inserción de las erupciones, pues éstos condicionan las modalidades de emplazamiento de los flujos lávicos y los riesgos derivados de ellos.One of the most significant eruption scenarios in the Canary Islands is that concerning the occurrence of effusive basaltic fissure eruptions in areas of volcanic rifts where there are low eruption rates. Eighty percent of historic volcanic activity produced in the Canary Islands has been located in these structures; and in 60% of the cases, the overspills occur in densely populated coastal areas, making them the most significant risk posed by volcanoes on the islands. The eruption of Garachico had the greatest socioeconomic impact of any historical phenomenon that ever occurred on Tenerife. Between 5 May and 13 June 1706, some 0.045 km3 of volcanic materials were emitted, covering an area of 7.6 km2. This paper focuses on the damage linked to the site of the overspills in the coastal area, as they were the cause of the greatest losses resulting from the eruption. This study also shows that the occurrence of effusive eruptions on rifts of this type not only requires us to look at the most likely eruption scenarios but also the geographic scenarios involved in the eruptions, as these determine the location patterns of the lava flows and the risks arising from them

Face perception: An integrative review of the role of spatial frequencies

The aim of this article is to reinterpret the results obtained from the research analyzing the role played by spatial frequencies in face perception. Two main working lines have been explored in this body of research: the critical bandwidth of spatial frequencies that allows face recognition to take place (the masking approach), and the role played by different spatial frequencies while the visual percept is being developed (the microgenetic approach). However, results obtained to date are not satisfactory in that no single explanation accounts for all the data obtained from each of the approaches. We propose that the main factor for understanding the role of spatial frequencies in face perception depends on the interaction between the demands of the task and the information in the image (the diagnostic recognition approach). Using this new framework, we review the most significant research carried out since the early 1970s to provide a reinterpretation of the data obtained

Los gabinetes de comunicación universitarios nacieron en España a partir de los pasados años 80, sin haber pasado por la experiencia previa como servicios de relaciones públicas de otros países occidentales. Wind-induced vibration control for buildings equipped with non-linear fluid viscous dampers

A study regarding the effectiveness of non-linear fluid viscous dampers in controlling the wind-induced vibration on buildings is presented. For this purpose, a 28-story building with a large area exposed to wind is designed in two different ways: a) conventionally (without supplemental damping), and b) using non-linear fluid viscous dissipating devices. The building is subjected to 10 groups of simulated wind velocities, where each group is composed of 28 wind signals, which are correlated on the building’s height. Results show that the damping system reduces the floor acceleration by 6.5 and 10.3 times with respect to that of the conventional building, for wind speeds associated with return periods of 10-years and 50-years, respectively. For the case of the building with energy dissipating devices, the floor accelerations result lower than the perception thresholds specified in the literature
