The spectra of the adjacency matrix and Laplacian matrix for some balanced trees

AbstractLet T be an unweighted rooted tree of k levels such that in each level the vertices have equal degree. Let dk−j+1 denotes the degree of the vertices in the level j. We find the eigenvalues of the adjacency matrix and of the Laplacian matrix of T. They are the eigenvalues of principal submatrices of two nonnegative symmetric tridiagonal matrices of order k×k. The codiagonal entries for both matrices are dj-1,2⩽j⩽k-1, and dk, while the diagonal entries are zeros, in the case of the adjacency matrix, and dj, 1⩽j⩽k, in the case of the Laplacian matrix. Moreover, we give some results concerning to the multiplicity of the above mentioned eigenvalues

Re-Estructuración Administrativa en la Biblioteca de la Facultad de Odontología de la Universidad Nacional de Tucumán

Este trabajo se desarrolla dentro del área de la biblioteca de la Facultad de Odontología de la Universidad Nacional de Tucumán, cuyo fin es proponer un cambio en la estructura organizativa, para así mejorar el servicio que ofrece y el clima laboral que como quedó demostrado en esta investigación, no es favorable para los empleados Surge la necesidad de Departamentalizar la biblioteca, luego de haber realizado las distintas observaciones y entrevistas a todo el personal. De este modo cada empleado podrá desempeñar sus funciones, de acuerdo al cargo y la capacitación de cada uno. Para poder desarrollar este trabajo, se tuvieron en cuenta los distintos tipos de estructura, formas de organización, los niveles de organización, los departamentos con los que cuenta la biblioteca y sus las características. De este modo realizamos distintas propuestas, que contribuirán a una mejor Organización y Estructura

Los puentes de fábrica del río Carrión: consideraciones sobre sus aspectos geométricos y constructivos: correlación con la datación y el comportamiento estructural

En la actualidad, la utilización de materiales como el hormigón y el acero, ha ido apartando la fábrica de piedra como método de construcción. Sin embargo, este tipo de estructuras siguen en uso, siendo precisa su conservación, la cual debe comprender acciones que sean lo menos agresivas posibles a fin de preservar las características propias de su época. Para conseguirlo, es necesaria la datación de sus pilas y arcos, así como conocer el funcionamiento estructural de los mismos. Estos son los objetivos perseguidos en esta Tesis. Mediante el estudio de los puentes de piedra del río Carrión, se ha encontrado que ciertos parámetros geométricos siguen tendencias, que pudieran utilizarse, como una herramienta más, en la datación de otros puentes, cuando la documentación escrita sea insuficiente. Igualmente se han obtenido conclusiones desde el punto de vista estructural relativas a la influencia del relleno rígido y del rebajamiento en la tensión máxima

Roles of Cholesterol and Lipids in the Etiopathogenesis of Alzheimer's Disease

Alzheimer's disease is the principal cause of dementia throughout the world and the fourth cause of death in developed economies.This brain disorder is characterized by the formation of brain protein aggregates, namely, the paired helical filaments and senile plaques. Oxidative stress during life, neuroinflamamtion, and alterations in neuron-glia interaction patterns have been also involved in the etiopathogenesis of this disease. In recent years, cumulative evidence has been gained on the involvement of alteration in neuronal lipoproteins activity, as well as on the role of cholesterol and other lipids in the pathogenesis of this neurodegenerative disorder. In this review, we analyze the links between changes in cholesterol homeostasis, and the changes of lipids of major importance for neuronal activity and Alheimer's disease. The investigation on the fine molecular mechanisms underlying the lipids influence in the etiopathogenesis of Alzheimer's disease may shed light into its treatment and medical management

Real-World Data on the Adverse Metabolic Effects of Second-Generation Antipsychotics and Their Potential Determinants in Adult Patients: A Systematic Review of Population-Based Studies

Methods MEDLINE, EMBASE, and PsycInfo were searched in July 2019 from database inception. We included population-based, longitudinal, comparative studies that report the results of the outcomes of interest for adult participants, including diabetes, ketoacidosis, hyperosmolar hyperglycemic state, weight gain/obesity, dyslipidemia, hypertension, and metabolic syndrome. Two reviewers independently extracted data on the study design, study quality, and study outcomes. Results We included 40 studies. Most studies showed that clozapine and olanzapine were associated with an increased likelihood of developing diabetes, while the results for risperidone and quetiapine were mixed. Although less well studied, ziprasidone and aripiprazole appeared to not be associated with the occurrence of diabetes. Information on antipsychotic-induced weight gain/obesity is extremely scarce. Regarding dyslipidemia, aripiprazole was not associated with an increased likelihood of developing dyslipidemia, clozapine was associated with an increased likelihood of developing dyslipidemia, and risperidone, olanzapine, quetiapine, and ziprasidone showed mixed results. Two studies suggested an association between ziprasidone and the occurrence of hypertension. Several studies found that the occurrence of a metabolic disorder acted as a risk factor for the development of other metabolic disorders. We did not find information on brexpiprazole, cariprazine, or lurasidone, and data on any long-acting SGA were lacking. Conclusion Although there are relevant differences among SGAs concerning the risk of metabolic disorders, it appears that none of the SGAs included in our review are fully devoid of these disturbances.Angelini Pharma Espana SL
