La Guerra Civil Española en el cine: características y recepción por plataforma y género de los directores.

Este trabajo analiza las características y la recepción por plataforma y género de directoras y directoras del cine sobre la Guerra Civil Española, empleando para ello una perspectiva feminista. Para ello se descargaron las fichas de todas las películas, series, documentales y cortos de la base de datos Filmaffinity etiquetadas con los tags 'Guerra Civil Española' y 'Posguerra española' (n=291), y se analizaron el género del equipo de dirección, la plataforma donde pueden visualizarse, la nota media otorgada por los usuarios y el agregado de valoración de la crítica. Los resultados muestran distintas aproximaciones por parte de cada plataforma: Amazon Prime parece apostar por la cantidad, pese a abundar las producciones poco populares y con peor recepción por parte de la crítica; Filmin también destaca por un elevado número de producciones sobre la Guerra Civil, pero con una mayor aclamación por parte de la crítica, si bien no son especialmente bien recibidas por los usuarios. El resto de plataformas apenas cuentan con producciones que aborden estas temáticas: HBO es la que menos, con solo 4, que son además las menos valoradas por la prensa pero las mejor puntuadas por los usuarios; Movistar, en cambio, también cuenta con pocas producciones, pero estas son especialmente alabadas por crítica y público general; Netflix y Disney+, por su parte, no destacan especialmente en ninguno de estos parámetros. En cuanto al género del equipo de dirección, se observa como esta figura está copada mayoritariamente por hombres (86,2% de las producciones), en una proporción casi 10 veces superior a la de las mujeres (9,0%). La crítica, por lo general más masculinizada, también parece favorecer ligeramente a los hombres (80 puntos sobre 100 frente a 72), pero los usuarios se decantan más por el cine elaborado por mujeres (6,20 de media frente a 5,97).Universidad de Málaga. Anti-inflammatory and regenerative effects of MKARE® Eggshell Membrane: An in vitro osteoarthritis model and placebo-controlled clinical study

Intrahepatic Expression of Fatty Acid Translocase CD36 Is Increased in Obstructive Sleep Apnea

Nocturnal intermittent hypoxia (IH) featuring obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) dysregulates hepatic lipid metabolism and might contribute to the development of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) observed in OSA patients. However, further research is required to better understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying IH-induced hepatic lipid accumulation. Therefore, the aim of the present study was to determine the effects of OSA on hepatic CD36 expression and the impact of IH by using a mouse model of OSA. Histological analysis, lipid content and CD36 expression were assessed in livers from subjects who underwent liver biopsy and polygraphic study during sleep, and in livers from mice submitted to chronic IH mimicking OSA. Among those who presented OSA features, NAFLD were significantly more frequent than in control subjects with normal respiratory function (77.8 vs. 36.4%, respectively), and showed more severe liver disease. Interestingly, CD36 expression was significantly overexpressed within the liver of OSA patients with respect to controls, and a significant positive correlation was observed between hepatic levels of CD36 and the values of two well-known respiratory parameters that characterized OSA: apnea/hypopnea index (AHI) and oxygen desaturation index (ODI). Moreover, hepatic lipid accumulation as well as induction of hepatic lipogenic genes, and CD36 mRNA and protein expression were significantly higher in livers from mice exposed to IH conditions for 8 weeks than in their corresponding littermates. This study provides novel evidence that IH featuring OSA could contribute to NAFLD setup partly by upregulating hepatic CD36 expression

ATP-Dependent Lon Protease Controls Tumor Bioenergetics by Reprogramming Mitochondrial Activity

We generated mice deficient in Lon protease (LONP1), a major enzyme of the mitochondrial quality control machinery. Homozygous deletion of Lonp1 causes early embryonic lethality, whereas its haploinsufficiency protects against colorectal and skin tumors. Furthermore, LONP1 knockdown inhibits cellular proliferation and tumor and metastasis formation, whereas its overexpression increases tumorigenesis. Clinical studies indicate that high levels of LONP1 are a poor prognosis marker in human colorectal cancer and melanoma. Additionally, functional analyses show that LONP1 plays a key role in metabolic reprogramming by remodeling OXPHOS complexes and protecting against senescence. Our findings demonstrate the relevance of LONP1 for cellular and organismal viability and identify this protease as a central regulator of mitochondrial activity in oncogenesis

La Comarca: un instrumento lúdico para el aprendizaje y un proyecto transversal multiescuela en la Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV)

[ES] Esta comunicación es el resultado de un Proyecto de Innovación y Mejora Educativa (PIME), financiado por el Vicerrectorado de Estudios, Calidad y Acreditación de la Universitat Politècnica de València, y por la Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingeniería de Caminos, Canales y Puertos. El objetivo del PIME que se presenta en esta comunicación es encontrar un nuevo recurso educativo para resolver problemas de motivación y aprendizaje en la enseñanza universitaria relacionada con la disciplina del Urbanismo y la Ordenación del Territorio. El uso del juego permite motivar y enseñar, y bajo esta premisa, se propone la creación de un juego de estrategia de cooperación-oposición, La Comarca, diseñado como un sencillo tablero representando el territorio, dividido en cuatro municipios, en el que cuatro alcaldías interactúan y trabajan para conseguir un territorio bien organizado. En esta comunicación se describe el proceso de construcción del juego, desde su idea hasta su producción, pasando por el proceso de diseño, fruto de un proyecto transversal entre dos escuelas de la Universitat Politècnica de València (Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingeniería de Caminos, Canales y Puertos y la Facultad de Bellas Artes) y los principales resultados obtenidos tras dicha experiencia.[EN] This communication is the result of an Educational Innovation and Improvement Project (PIME), financed by the Vicerrectorado de Estudios, Calidad y Acreditación of Universitat Politècnica de València, and by the School of Civil Engineering. The objective of the PIME presented in this communication is to find a new educational resource to solve motivation and learning problems in university education related to the discipline of Urbanism and Territorial Planning.The use of the game allows to motivate and teach, and under this premise, it is proposed the creation of a strategy game of cooperation-opposition, La Comarca, designed as a simple board representing the territory, divided into four municipalities, in which four mayors interact and work to achieve a well-organized territory. This communication describes the construction process of the game, from its idea to its production, including the design process, which is the result of a transversal project between two schools of the Universitat Politècnica de València (Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingeniería de Caminos, Canales y Puertos and the Facultad de Bellas Artes) and the main results obtained from this experience.
