The effect of biventricular pacing as compared to single - side left - ventricular pacing and bifocal pacing of the right ventricle in patients with chronic heart failure

Srdeční resynchronizační terapie (CRT) představuje akceptovanou formu terapie některých nemocných s pokročilým CHSS, jejíž akutní i dlouhodobý efekt byl potvrzen v řadě klinických studií. Nedávno bylo rovněz potvrzeno, že CRT příznivě ovlivňuje i mortalitu a výskyt hospitalizace pro srdeční selhaní. Efekt CRT je však značně interindividuálně variabilní a u řady nemocných ke zlepšení nedochází vůbec. Ačkoliv je identifikace vhodných kandidátů zřejmě klíčovým předpokladem redukujícím množství těchto CRT non-responderů, existují i další faktory, peri- i postimplantační, ovlivňující finální efekt CRT. Tato disertace byla zaměřena na některé z těchto proměnných: 1/ První z nich je selekce vhodného stimulačního režimu. V této disertaci jsme hodnotili efekt 3 z nich, které se jevily být rovnocennými alternativami CRT - biventrikulární stimulace (BiV), izolovaná stimulace LK (LVP) a bifokální stimulace PK (Bif). Ukázalo se, že první dva stimulační režimy, tj. BiV (simultánni stimulace obou komor) a LVP, vedou ke srovnatelnému akutnímu hemodynamickému zlepšení v klidu. Studie 2 této disertace rovněž prokázala srovnatelný efekt obou při zátěži. Studie 1 navíc pomohla vysvětlit příčinu tohoto ekvivalentního efektu BiV a LVP díky popisu aktivační sekvence komor, která se díky fúzi 2 aktivačních vln nad LK přibližuje...Cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) represents an accepted treatment modality in patients with advance chronic heart failure, acute and long-term benefit of which was confirmed in several clinical trials. Recently, reduced mortality and rate of hospitalization for heart failure were also demonstrated. However, response to CRT is interindividually highly variable with a substantial proportion of CRT recipients who do not respond to this therapy. Although the identification of suitable candidates is probably the most important factor in the reduction of the rate of non-responders, some other determinants, peri- and post-implant, may substantially affect the final effect of CRT. The present PhD focused on some of these variables: 1/ First of them is a selection of the appropriate pacing mode. This PhD evaluated effect of 3 pacing modalities that have been proposed as alternatives of CRT - biventricular pacing (BiV), single-site left-ventricular pacing (LVP) and rightventricular bifocal pacing (Bif). It was clearly shown that the first two pacing strategies, BiV (it is simultaneous pacing of both ventricles) and LVP, cause comparable acute hemodynamic improvement at rest. Vedle obecného seznámení s básníkovým chápáním prostoru podává zevrubnější vhled do prostorů krajiny a světnice, do vztahu exteriéru a interiéru a na něj napojených mezních prostorů okna, dveří a řeky. Vymezuje triadické členění prostoru pod zemí - země - vesmíru a s nimi souvisejícího prostoru těla. Zabývá se dynamickostatickým uspořádáním prostoru, v jehož rámci reflektuje také jazykovou strukturu daných skladeb. Tato interpretační práce je prokládána četnými citacemi pramenů, v přiložené bibliografii odkazuje na studie o interpretovaných dílech i na teoretické spisy o prostoru. The problems of Julius Zeyer and his inspiration by French culture

Julius Zeyer and His Inspiration by French Culture is a large subject that includes several topics: Zeyer's personal contacts with French personages, inspiration by French culture in general; by art, literature, philosophy, but also by French lifestyle and mentality. In this thesis the topic is narrowed down to Zeyer's journeys to France and his contacts with local personages as well as to his reading of French literature (Chapter 1) and French literary inspiration of some of his works (Chapter 1 and Chapter 2). We are interested especially in the type and the degree of influence by French sources we can find in his work. Chapter 1 is conceived as a literary-historical introduction - Francie jako zdroj inspirace (France as a source of inspiration) - concerns his one-year stay in Paris between 1889-1890 and the journeys to Brittany and Picardy in the same year.The source of information on this topic is Zeyer's correspondence with Zdenka Braunerová, Marie Kalašová, Josef Václav Sládek, the Heriteses etc., where he mentions different aspects of life in France as well as his impressions and experiences. He doesn't talk much about his acquaintances with French personages. That's why we are trying to complete this information from literature about Zdenka Braunerová. The Process of Staging a Play - Tennessee Williams - This Property Is Condemned

Abstract (Summary) Riedlbauchová, Veronika: The Process of Staging a Play - Tennessee Williams - This Property Is Condemned, B.A. Thesis, Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, Theatre Faculty, Prague 2006, 46 pp. The B.A. thesis reflects the process of presenting a one-act play "This Property Is Condemned" by Tennesse Williams, which was opened on the 29th of April in Řetízek (Řetězová ulice, Prague 1) as part of the summer semester 2004/2005 final exam, onstage. In this production, made in co-operation with the pedagogical staff and under the supervision of professor Josef Krofta, the second year students of the Alternative and Puppet Theatre Department - Veronika Riedlbauchová (direction - dramaturgy), Kateřina Štolcpartová (stage design) and the actors Miroslava Venclová, Jakub Prachař, Veronika Khomová, Luděk Smadiš and Jiří Chvalovský - took part. The paper is divided into five chapters, each pursuing a different aspect of the process of theatre production, from the choice of text to the staging itself. The first chapter works up a detailed analysis of the play, which makes a growing point of the dramaturgical intention. Chapter two presents the dramaturgical process: choice of text, accentuation of the subject matter, the play´s structuring and process of scripting. The third chapter, concerned with scenic designing, gives description of the search for scenic expression and imagery from the first version to the beginning of the realization itself. The process of realization and its individual components are recounted in chapter four. The authoress tells us what problems and changes happened to occur during rehearsals and in what way these influenced the overall look of the play. She also comments on communication during rehearsals, i.e. co-operation with the actors, the stage setter and others. The fifth chapter finally gives summary and evaluation of the whole process of staging

Motion Techniques and Patterns - Creative Freedom of Expression

Riedlbauchová, Veronika. Motion Techniques and Patterns - Creative Freedom of Expression. M. A. Thesis, Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, Theatre Faculty, Prague 2009, 111 pp. In her M. A. thesis, the author focuses on the education of an open and all-round actor and stage director by the means of movement. In doing so, she draws from her artistic practice as well as from her personal experience with physical acting she got acquainted with during two years of study at Institut del Teatre in Barcelona. She points out that the contemporary theatre still keeps omitting movement - one of the most important stage elements. Through a detailed reflection she presents various motion techniques and patterns, which may signifícantly enrich the actor´s or stage director´s expression capabilities subsequently leading them to creative freedom. The author emphasizes an empiric approach to the search for a stage expression and she presents a variety of concrete exercises. She also demonstrates some ways of applying the knowledge of particular techniques in modern practice. The paper is divided into two parts. The first part called Body Language focuses on general patterns of motion and its communicativeness in theatre. In the first chapter the author pursues motion as a specific element of stage work, in the second chapter as a component of the theatre language. She explores motion and its energy, the motional expression and its capability to reveal the personage´s emotions, motion in a mutual interaction with the space and time, motion in relation to the sound and word. In the third chapter she expresses a necessity of a lifetime development and training of an actor and stage director, which reinforces their creativity and makes them equal partners. In the second part called How to Apply a Mask Technique in a Contemporary Practice the author focuses in detail on the application of the knowledge of two concrete mask techniques in a broader theatre practice. The fourth chapter presents work with a neutral mask inspired by the method of Jacques Lecoq and its employment in the creation of a stage personage. The last, fifth chapter concerns the old technique of commedia dell´ arte and its application in teaching the improvisation. This chapter is innovatory as it presents practical instructions how to train the actor´s improvisatory abilities in the framework of the whole onstage composition

Logistics technologies as a factor of overcoming the economic recession

In years 2008-2010 the main wave of global economic crisis took place. This crises have hit both industry and trade with negative impact on the demand for logistics services and technologies. The aim of this Master's Thesis is to find the answer on question if and which logistics technologies can moderate the impacts of crisis. Thesis is focused on the Czech Republic and on the logistics service providers. Beside that it summarizes knowledge gained from crisis period from all related fields and branches of economy. In the first part the thesis summarizes knowledge concerning logistics and related operations, logistics technologies, logistics providers and outsourcing. The second part deals with the development of industry, trade, transport and logistics in the Czech Republic. It inquires what contributed to the success or failure of the logistics providers, in which assets they invested and what was the demand for their services. The proper strategy in logistics for the period of recession is proposed on the basis of uncovered facts both for logistics providers and their customers.Mezi lety 2008 až 2010 probíhala hlavní vlna světové hospodářské krize. Tato krize postihla jak průmysl, tak obchod, s dopadem na poptávku po logistických službách a technologiích. Cílem této práce je nalézt odpověď na otázku, zda a které logistické technologie mohou zmírnit dopady krize. Práce je zaměřena na trh v České republice a na poskytovatele logistických služeb. Kromě toho shrnuje poznatky z krizového období ze všech souvisejících oblastí a oborů ekonomiky. V první části práce shrnuje poznatky týkající se logistiky a v ní probíhajících operací, logistických technologií, logistických poskytovatelů, či outsourcingu. Druhá část sumarizuje vývoj průmyslu, obchodu, dopravy a logistiky v ČR. Zkoumá co přispělo k úspěchu či neúspěchu logistických poskytovatelů, do čeho investovali a jaká byla poptávka po jejich službách. Na základě zjištěných faktů je navržena vhodná strategie v oblasti logistiky pro období recese jak pro poskytovatele, tak pro jejich zákazníky
