    Intelligent Data Monitoring and Controlling System for Health Related Social Networks

    Depression is a worldwide wellbeing concern in view of healthcare. Now a days, social media became popular to allow the affected people to share their experience in the form of posts. These kinds of experiences are stored in the database and extracted and analyzed to give the precautions to the other people or to recall the drugs from the side effects, and other service improvements in their treatment regarding to a particular disease. In such cases depression-related social websites are helpful to monitor or get knowledge in various kinds of drugs, side effects and to share the user experiences. In this paper, we proposed a social media website to allow the users to share the experiences of a particular disease i.e. depression and their experience over on it. We used a weighted network model to represent the activities in the social networks. The proposed work has three steps. The first one is to monitor the user activity and followed by network clustering and the module analysis. The persons who likes a particular post comes under a group and those who contrasted belongs to other group. The stop word technique we have implemented in this work is helpful to avoid the misleading communication over the posts and for the efficient user interaction. The statistical analysis of this kind of user interactions are helpful in health networks to gain much knowledge about a specific disease. This approach will enable all the gatherings to take a part and for the future healthcare improvements to the patients suffering from a disease

    On the Energetics of Advection-Dominated Accretion Flows

    Using mean field MHD, we discuss the energetics of optically thin, two temperature, advection-dominated accretion flows (ADAFs). If the magnetic field is tangled and roughly isotropic, flux freezing is insufficient to maintain the field in equipartition with the gas. In this case, we expect a fraction of the energy generated by shear in the flow to be used to build up the magnetic field strength as the gas flows in; the remaining energy heats the particles. We argue that strictly equipartition magnetic fields are incompatible with a priori reasonable levels of particle heating; instead, the plasma β\beta in ADAFs (defined to be the gas pressure divided by magnetic/turbulent pressure) is likely to be \gsim 5; correspondingly, the viscosity parameter α\alpha is likely to be \lsim 0.2Comment: 24 pages, ApJ submitte

    Efficient hardware prototype of ECDSA modules for blockchain applications

    This paper concentrates on the hardware implementation of efficient and re- configurable elliptic curve digital signature algorithm (ECDSA) that is suitable for verifying transactions in Blockchain related applications. Despite ECDSA architecture being computationally expensive, the usage of a dedicated stand-alone circuit enables speedy execution of arithmetic operations. The prototype put forth supports N-bit elliptic curve cryptography (ECC) group operations, signature generation and verification over a prime field for any elliptic curve. The research proposes new hardware framework for modular multiplication and modular multiplicative inverse which is adopted for group operations involved in ECDSA. Every hardware design offered are simulated using modelsim register transfer logic (RTL) simulator. Field programmable gate array (FPGA) implementation of var- ious modules within ECDSA circuit is compared with equivalent existing techniques that is both hardware and software based to highlight the superiority of the suggested work. The results showcased prove that the designs implemented are both area and speed efficient with faster execution and less resource utilization while maintaining the same level of security. The suggested ECDSA structure could replace the software equivalent of digital signatures in hardware blockchain to thwart software attacks and to provide better data protection

    Squeezing in Multivariate Spin Systems

    In contrast to the canonically conjugate variates qq,pp representing the position and momentum of a particle in the phase space distributions, the three Cartesian components, JxJ_{x},JyJ_{y}, JzJ_{z} of a spin-jj system constitute the mutually non-commuting variates in the quasi-probabilistic spin distributions. It can be shown that a univariate spin distribution is never squeezed and one needs to look into either bivariate or trivariate distributions for signatures of squeezing. Several such distributions result if one considers different characteristic functions or moments based on various correspondence rules. As an example, discrete probability distribution for an arbitrary spin-1 assembly is constructed using Wigner-Weyl and Margenau-Hill correspondence rules. It is also shown that a trivariate spin-1 assembly resulting from the exposure of nucleus with non-zero quadrupole moment to combined electric quadrupole field and dipole magnetic field exhibits squeezing in cerain cases.Comment: 13 pages, 1 Table, Presented at ICSSUR-05, Franc

    Supercoil-induced unusual DNA structures as transcriptional block

    The transcriptional activity of pBR322 form V DNA template, a topologically unlinked, highly supercoiled molecule having unusual structures around or within coding regions was studied. Significant transcription was observed in vitro from this template despite high levels of supercoiling. An attenuated transcript, initiated accurately from the P4 promoter of rep gene, was observed which indicated pausing of E. coli RNA polymerase within the gene. This pausing could be removed by relieving the torsional stress implying that a supercoil induced structural alteration within the gene was acting as a transcriptional block. A stabilized unusual structure, most likely a cruciform, was found to be responsible for the elongation block. Absence of initiation from the tetR gene was correlated with the unusual structure present within its promoter region in form V DNA. These in vitro studies show that structural alterations within natural DNA could act as transcriptional blocks both at the level of initiation and elongation

    Screening of in vitro derived mutants of banana against nematodes

    Investigations were carried out to screen the in vitro derived mutants of banana cv. Robusta (Caveidish- AAA) and Rasthali (Silk- AAB) by using certain bio-chemical parameters including some enzyme activities. The mutants tested were Ro Im V4 6-1-1, Ro Im V4 6-1-2, Ro Im V4 6-2-1, Si Im V4 10-5-3, Si Im V4 4 6-2-5 along with respective susceptible checks (Robusta and Rasthali), tolerant check (Anaikomban- AA) and resistant check (Pisang Lilin- AA). Various biochemical assays used were total phenol, tannin content, lignin content, peroxidase, polyphenol oxidase, phenyl alanine ammonia lyase and ascorbic acid oxidase. The results revealed that the mutants namely Ro Im V4 6-1-1 and Si Im V4 10-5-3 were found to be resistant while the mutant Ro Im V4 6-2-1 was moderately resistant. The rest of the mutants namely Ro Im V4 6-1-2 and Si Im V4 6-2-5 were found to be susceptible to nematodes. The resistant and moderately resistant mutants of banana could be further used in breeding programmes as well as being recognized as potential cultivars of commerce.Key words: Banana, nematode, resistance, biochemical parameters, enzymes, screening
