Three embryonic cell lineages related with the epicardium show distinct developmental fates

The embryonic epicardium generates a population of mesenchymal cells that contribute to the coronary vessels and the connective tissue of the adult heart. We have used murine cell-tracing models to compare the developmental fate of three different lineages related with the epicardium. Mice bearing R26R-EYFP reporters were crossed with mice expressing Cre-recombinase under control of the promoters of the cardiac troponin gene (cTnT), the Wilms tumor suppressor gene (Wt1), and the G2 enhancer of the GATA4 gene. Thus, we could trace, using confocal microscopy and flow cytometry, the lineage of the cardiac cells expressing Wt1, cTnT and GATA4 under control of the G2 enhancer, from midgestation to adults. Additionally we have studied a knockin Wt1-GFP reporter model to detect cells with Wt1 expression in the developing and adult heart. During development, Wt1 is expressed in a major part of the proepicardium and epicardium, and also in some epicardial-derived mesenchymal cells, in part of the mesenchymal and coronary endothelial cells and also in a fraction of the cardiomyocytes. GATA4 expression is activated by the enhancer G2 in lateral mesoderm and pro/epicardium, but not in epicardial-derived cells, although most of these cells as well as some cardiomyocytes originate from a G2-GATA4 expressing lineage. cTnT is expressed in all the cardiomyocytes, but a part of the epicardial cells also derives from a cTnTCre-EYFP positive cell lineage. The developmental fate of these linages reveals interesting differences, according to our preliminary results. For example, the G2-GATA4 cell linage contributes more than the Wt1 cell lineage to the coronary endothelium during development. However, both lineages are highly represented in the adult cardiac endothelium, suggesting postnatal expression of Wt1 in the coronary endothelium and incorporation of endothelial progenitor cells from bone marrow (where the G2-GATA4 reporter is active in 20% of hematopoietic stem cells).Universidad de Málaga. Aprendizaje de la programación guiado por los errores de compilación

Los errores de programación y en concreto los de tiempo de compilación siempre han sido un área de interés en el campo de la enseñanza de la programación. Esto lo demuestran los distintos artículos que aparecen periódicamente en congresos de docencia de la informática, tanto nacionales como internacionales. Estos estudios se basan en la relación entre errores de programación y carencias conceptuales o malas prácticas de programación, y orientar a los docentes en las áreas y conceptos de programación que se tendrían que reforzar en la enseñanza de la programación. Sin embargo, estos estudios se realizan siempre fuera del proceso de aprendizaje de los estudiantes, con lo cual sólo se extraen conclusiones generales para posteriores cursos y sin poder proporcionar una realimentación real e individualizada a los alumnos. Hemos creado un sistema, denominado COLMENA que se integra con el entorno de desarrollo integrado para recopilar información sobre el análisis estático, errores de compilación y warnings, que los estudiantes generan durante un ejercicio de programación. Además, esta información sobre errores se visualiza a los usuarios clasificada por familias de errores, sesiones de prácticas y alumnos. Permitiendo al profesor realizar un seguimiento completamente personalizado, para un grupo o un alumno concreto. Por otra parte, facilita la documentación de los distintos errores, estableciendo una relación de estos con los conceptos de programación y buenas prácticas relacionadas. Además, permite a los alumnos darse cuenta de los errores que cometen con más frecuencia y reforzar el conocimiento de estos. A través de esta herramienta, por tanto, se consigue un flujo de intercambio de información que puede ayudar a profesores y alumnos en la mejora del proceso enseñanza-aprendizaje, y así perfeccionar explícitamente detalles sobre pautas de programación o conceptos relativos a la misma que antes no se apreciaban o conocer la evolución de los errores de un grupo a lo largo de una asignatura.SUMMARY -- Studies on errors in programming activities have always been considered relevant among scientific communities. Thus, different approaches are explored every year in national and international conferences about programming teaching and learning. All of these studies deal with the relationship between programming errors and bad habits in programming, in order to generate guidance for teachers in concepts where their students fail. However, these kinds of studies are conducted outside the students' natural programming process, which prevents teachers from receiving a feedback report in real-time. We have created an eclipse plug-in, called COLMENA, whose purpose is to recover compilation errors and warnings generated by the students during programming lessons. Moreover, this information is displayed in a specific portal where students can retrieve information about the errors, their solutions and different reports about individual and collective information, such as specific groups or sessions inside a subject. Students have the possibility to learn about the solution to their most common errors in the system or their top-10 error list. Through COLMENA, we aim to assist teachers and students with programming tips and ideas that generate less errors and improve the teacher-learning process. This kind of information, previously discarded, allows us to gain a new perspective about the problems that users have in a specific practical lesson or in a whole subject

El autor formula la tesis de que la tradicional preocupación y las aportaciones de los educadores y pensadores de la educación en torno a la naturaleza, sentido y esencia de la misma, esto es, de la calidad de la educación, puede y debe ser compatible con los movimientos, propuestas y actuaciones de nuestro tiempo en relación con la calidad, en cuyo marco se pueden situar los planteamientos relativos a la gestión de la calidad, tales como los de Calidad total, ISO o EFQM, la evaluación, la certificación o la acreditación. En tal sentido, se analizan y formulan los conceptos de calidad de y en la educación y se formaliza una propuesta de integración en la que la calidad de la educación queda ligada a la misión de las instituciones y a sus proyectos educativos, y la calidad en se integra con el carácter de medio, relevante y eficaz, a su servicio.Una propuesta de tal naturaleza debería tener su oportuno reflejo en las actuaciones nacionales e internacionales orientadas a la elaboración de estándares e indicadores, dada su influencia a la hora de encauzar las actuaciones de los responsables de los sistemas educativos, de los centros educativos y del propio profesorado. Abstract The author puts forward the thesis that educators and thinkers traditional concern and contributions to formulate the nature, meaning, essence, and, quality of education, can and must be compatible with today´s movements, proposals and actions in relation to quality, which is the framework where approaches on quality management, such as Total Quality, ISO or EFQM, assessment, certification or accreditation, can be placed. Concepts of quality of and in education are studied and described, and an integrative proposal is suggested to connect quality of education to institutional mission and educational projects; and quality is integrated as a relevant and effective instrument to educational institutions service. A proposal of such nature should have the appropriate impact on national and international activities focused to design standards which will help to orient the educational system responsible authorities, educational institutions and teachers

Herramienta para mejorar la afinación vocal en Android

In this paper, a tool to improve vocal tuning in Android devices is presented. This application aims to offer exercises to practice and improve singing skills. The designed tool includes two main functionalities: sound synthesis, to provide with singing sound references, and fundamental frequency analysis, to analize the sound and check if the user sings the right musical note. The well-known Yin algorithm has been selected to perform the fundamental frequency analysis. Three different singing exercises are included: sing single notes, sing intervals and sing a note in order to complete a chord. The system also includes a graphical interface in which musical notation is employed to write down the singing sound. The system has been evaluated in order to test out its correct performance regarding both the analysis and synthesis of musical sounds.Universidad de Málaga. El salario como crédito privilegiado

La presente tesis contiene la resolución de un supuesto problema, cual es el salario y las prestaciones sociales como créditos privilegiados. Manifestando supuesto problema porque el texto de nuestra Constitución Política, al respecto con claridad meridiana expresa; Art. 182 Nº.4. ' "El salario y las prestaciones sociales constituyen créditos privilegiados en relación a los demás créditos que puedan existir contra el patrono. Al emplear el término "demás créditos hicieron uso de un término genérico que comprende no sólo a los créditos privilegiados civiles, sino también a créditos preferentes como la hipoteca. Por otra parte, el Art. 220 Inc2 parte segunda del mismo ordenamiento jurídico expresa: “El interés público primará, sobre el interés privado" y el salario y las prestaciones sociales a nuestro entender contiene un interés general; no obstante, él interés individual, egoísta ha prevalecido en toda la historia de la humanidad, con excepción de la comunidad primitiva y actualmente en el socialismo, en donde prevaleció y prevalece el interés general

Maestría en IngenieríaThe purpose of this paper is to prepare the Strategic Technological Information Platform for the University of Costa CUC, with the purpose of establishing the achievement of the objectives of the institutional strategic plan, the type of research was of the applied, retrospective type, transversal, descriptive, documentary, seeking the solution of a problem or need, since part of the information was obtained before starting the study and the remains were obtained during the development of the technological strategic plan (PET), where it was necessary to study in detail processes, people, situations and documents related to the investigation. The PETI methodology was applied, where the results obtained allowed to identify the SWOT matrix for each area of the institution associated with the system department, which allowed to establish the strategies, actions to be followed in each of them and estimated budget, which will allow the achievement of the PET, as well as the prospects to be achieved, allowing the University of the Coast to become an institution characterized by the technological vanguard in its area, generating quality services in the least amount of time to all its clients, based on in a PETI oriented in strategic management.Este trabajo tiene por objeto la propuesta de elaborar el Plante Estratégico Tecnológico de la Información para la Universidad de la Costa CUC, con la finalidad de establecer el logro de los objetivos del plan estratégico institucional, el tipo de investigación fue del tipo aplicada, retrospectiva, transversal, descriptivo, documental, pretendiendo la solución de un problema o necesidad, ya que parte de la información se obtuvo antes de iniciar el estudio y el restos se obtuvo durante el desarrollo del plan estratégico tecnológico (PET), donde se hizo necesario estudiar detalladamente procesos, personas, situaciones y documentos relacionados con la investigación. Se aplicó la metodología PETI, donde los resultados obtenidos permitieron identificar la matriz DOFA para cada área de la institución asociada con el departamento de sistema, lo que permitió establecer las estrategias, acciones a seguir en cada una de ellas y presupuesto estimado, lo que permitirán el logro del PET, así como las prospectivas a ser alcanzadas, permitiendo que la Universidad de la Costa se convierta en una institución caracterizada por la vanguardia tecnológica en sus área, generando servicios con calidad en la menor cantidad de tiempo a todos sus clientes, basándose en un PETI orientado en la gerencia estratégica

THE ARCHITECTURE OF SCARCITY: THE LOW-COST HOUSING OF SANT CUGAT DE SALT IN 1956

[EN] The low-cost housing that began to be constructed in the middle of the 20th century in post-war Spain was characterised by its simple construction. Our objective is to demonstrate the relationship between the lack of materials available in post-war Spain (1940- 1960) and the spatial, urbanistic and architectural qualities of these houses. Above all, our objective is to research the constructive possibilities of the vaulted ceiling. This study¿s methodology is both theoretical and practical. Collecting planimetric information on the urban complex and the existing building typologies has allowed us to understand, first hand, the houses¿ architectural characteristics. The system of construction employed to build the houses stands out for its use of vaulted hollow brick ceilings braced with cables. This design makes the houses inexpensive to build, accommodates a range of compositional possibilities and has proven durable. This echnology has gained respect for the structural integrity created by the complex of this grid of structural spaces.[ES] Las casas baratas de la posguerra española son grupos de viviendas sociales que se construyeron, a partir de mediados del siglo XX, con una gran simplicidad constructiva. Nuestro objetivo es demostrar la relación entre la carencia de materiales durante la postguerra española (1940-1960) y la calidad espacial, urbanística y arquitectónica, de muchas de ellas, y sobre todo investigar las posibilidades constructivas de la bóveda vaída. La metodología de trabajo ha sido teórica y práctica a la vez. El levantamiento planimétrico del conjunto urbanístico y las topologías edificatorias actuales nos ha dado la posibilidad de conocer, de primera mano, sus características arquitectónicas. Sobresale la utilización del sistema constructivo de las bóvedas vaídas de mahón atirantadas con cables, de bajo coste de construcción, de grandes posibilidades compositivas y de una durabilidad contrastada.
