Exponential type of hypercyclic entire functions

    Get PDF
In this paper the exponential type of hypercyclic entire functions with respect to a sequence (Φn(D)) of differential operators is considered, where every Φn is an entire function of exponential type. We prove that under suitable conditions certain rates of growth are possible for hypercyclicity while others are not. In particular, our statements extend the negative part of a sharp result on growth of D-hypercyclic entire functions due to Grosse-Erdmann, and are related to a result by Chan and Shapiro about the existence of Φ(D)-hypercyclic functions in certain Hilbert spaces of entire functions.Dirección General de Enseñanza Superior (DGES). Families of strongly annular functions: linear structure

    Get PDF
A function f holomorphic in the unit disk D is called strongly annular if there exists a sequence of concentric circles in D expanding out to the unit circle such that f goes to infinity as |z| goes to 1 through these circles. The residuality of the family of strongly annular functions in the space of holomorphic functions on D is well known, and it is extended here to certain classes of functions. This important topological property is enriched in this paper by studying algebraic-topological properties of the mentioned family, in the modern setting of lineability. Namely, we prove that although this family is clearly nonlinear, it contains, except for the zero function, large vector subspaces as well as infinitely generated algebras. Similar results are obtained for strongly annular functions on the whole complex plane and for weighted Bergman spaces.Plan Andaluz de Investigación (Junta de Andalucía)Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovación (MICIN). Universality of holomorphic functions bounded on closed sets

In this note, the existence of translation-universal entire functions which are bounded on certain closed subsets is characterized in terms of topological and geometrical properties of such subsets. Corresponding results are also stated in the space of holomorphic functions on the unit disk and in the space of harmonic functions on the plane. Moreover, it is shown the existence of entire functions which are bounded on many rays and, simultaneously, are universal with respect to a prescribed infinite-order differential operator.Plan Andaluz de Investigación (Junta de Andalucía)Dirección General de Enseñanza Superior (DGES). Unit roots and multiple structural breaks in real output

    Get PDF
Utilizing re-sampling. Methods, we present evidence on the rejection probabilities for difference-stationary and trend-stationary models for Mexico’s real and real per-capita annual gross domestic product. The trend stationary alternative allows for stationary fluctuations around a long-run trend function with endogenously determined multiple structural breaks, via global and sequential search methods. The number of breaks is determined using a unit-root rejection stopping rule and a parameter-constancy stopping rule.

The New Migration Flow. An Analysis of Economic Factors of Poland and Spain

    Get PDF
This paper has been focused on the migration flow changes due to the economic factors, comparing differences and similitudes of two European countries with different migration antecedents and circumstances. Thus, Spain has been a traditional host country for economic migrants and Poland has been traditionally considered a sending or transit country, but after the economic collapse these roles have changed and Spain is involved in a severe economic downturn meanwhile Poland has continued to grow economically, therefore it has supposed several changes on the attractiveness of these countries from the perspective of migration. Through the analysis and comparison of international statistics about economic factors for migration this research has examined the evolution, effects and extension of current changes on migration flow of two countries of Europe with different economic situation that is affecting their future migration tendencies. The results have shown that 1) Changes on the economics factors are immediately reflected on the migration flow; 2) the deterioration of these factors in Spain has changed its status as destination country to a country with increasing emigration 3) opposite circumstances have declined the higher migration of Poland, but further investment in Research and Development should be necessary to maintain the economic development

This paper presents the main results achieved in the doctoral dissertation: “Hypertextuality and connectivity: alternatives of digital culture for the configuration of educative environments”. It focused on identify and describe the elements that characterize educational practices in educational environments in which connectivity, hypermediality and multimodality, along with the context of cyberculture, are promoted as central theoretical categories. The research corresponds to a micro-technographic study developed in IED, with a group of 30 students of 5th grade, in a specialized classroom equipped with tablets and full connectivity. The most important results and insights of the study are: 1) the emergence of the space of interaction as hypermedia itself; 2) a relationship between play and learning processes; 3) new dynamics of distributed attention; 4) symbolic distinction between the laboratory and the classroom; 5) to realize that pedagogical proposals are not as new as digital technologies; 6) due to its architecture, tablets do not help hypermedial writing; but multimodal writing and hybridization between digital and analogic technologies.
