Optimized High-Utility Itemsets Mining for Effective Association Mining Paper

    Get PDF
Association rule mining is intently used for determining the frequent itemsets of transactional database; however, it is needed to consider the utility of itemsets in market behavioral applications. Apriori or FP-growth methods generate the association rules without utility factor of items. High-utility itemset mining (HUIM) is a well-known method that effectively determines the itemsets based on high-utility value and the resulting itemsets are known as high-utility itemsets. Fastest high-utility mining method (FHM) is an enhanced version of HUIM. FHM reduces the number of join operations during itemsets generation, so it is faster than HUIM. For large datasets, both methods are very expenisve. Proposed method addressed this issue by building pruning based utility co-occurrence structure (PEUCS) for elimatination of low-profit itemsets, thus, obviously it process only optimal number of high-utility itemsets, so it is called as optimal FHM (OFHM). Experimental results show that OFHM takes less computational runtime, therefore it is more efficient when compared to other existing methods for benchmarked large datasets

Qualification Methodologies for ICs and MMICs for Aerospace Industry

    Get PDF
The ICsIMMICs attained importance in the field of microelectronics as these play a majorrole in the aerospace industry. The reliability of the ICsIMMICs becomes the critical issue becauseof complex material properties. A methodology has to be adopted which encompasses thequalification of ICsJMMICs for their use in the areas of strategic importance. A three-stepprocedure, which includes the process qualification, product qualification, and product acceptanceis followed. The process qualification outlines a procedure that the foundry should follow toassure the quality, uniformity, and reproducibility from a specific process. Product qualificationinvolves a set of simulations and measurements to establish the electrical, thermal, and reliabilitycharacteristics of a particular circuit design. Lastly, product acceptance is a series of testsperformed on the deliverable

Impact of Cultural Elements on Brand Preferences An Explorative Research

    Get PDF
Building a brand and creating a professional image requires a thorough understanding of culture. Different civilizations have unique passions, convictions, values, and traditions. Culture-specific expectations and boundaries exist. Products and services reflect culture, and they frequently express the symbolic cultural meaning associated with them. A marketer has an advantage over rivals by being aware of the culture and family structure and consumption patterns. Cultural variables have a big impact on people's decisions to purchase and consume. The research aimed to verify whether there is an impact of cultural elements on brand preference and whether their profile factors differentiate the impact of culture on brand preference. The research reveals that the influence of culture on brand choice is consistent across age groups, family sizes, family types, jobs, and respondents' religious affiliations. Regarding how culture influences brand choice, male and female responses differ significantly. The languages that they speak have an impact on how much culture impacts brand preferences. A Comparative Clinical Study of Shamana Therapy and Shodhana Purvaka Shamana Therapy in the Management of Tamaka Shwasa w.s.r to Bronchial Asthma

Ayurveda is the science of life which deals with the prevention and cure of diseases. From the first breath of newly born till the last breath i.e, Shwasochhwasa Kriya is the sign of life. Any disturbance in this process leads to Shwasa Roga. Tamaka Shwasa is one of the important diseases of such disturbance. Shwasa is a Kapha-Vataja disease which is originated from Pittasthana. Tamaka Shwasa is very much similar to bronchial asthma in modern medicine which is a chronic disease of multifactorial origin. Ayurveda describes two type of management of all disease i.e. Shodhana and Shamana Chikitsa. In present scenario Panchakarma therapy is the best way to effectively and safely manage the condition without any specific side effects. It is one of the most effective and complete therapy in the management of the chronic disease such as Tamaka Shwasa (Bronchial Asthma). In Ayurvedic classics both Vamana and Virechana have been described specifically in the management of Tamaka Shwasa. Considering the Ayurvedic concept of treatment of Tamaka Shwasa, in present study we have used Virechana therapy along with certain herbal preparation. In this study we concluded that the cases who were treated with herbal preparation along with Virechana got better relief than herbal preparation alone

In the present article, our purpose is to define and study conformal quasi hemi-slant submersions (cqhs submersions, in short) from Lorentzian para Sasakian manifolds onto Riemannian manifolds. Its geometric properties are also investigated. Lastly, we give a non-trivial example for this type of submersio

NOVEL CHRONOTHERAPEUTIC MULTIPARTICULATE DRUG DELIVERY SYSTEM OF FELODIPINE: AN EFFECTIVE TREATMENT FOR CARDIAC ARRHYTHMIA

    Get PDF
Arrhythmia follows chronobiology, thus necessitating development of time-dependent formulation for its treatment. The aim of the current work was to develop a solubility-enhanced chronotherapeutic system of felodipine, a widely prescribed anti-arrhythmic. Systematically optimized hot-melt extrusion process was employed to formulate solubility-enhanced extrudates. Film-casting method was adopted for the selection of polymers. Drug released at 5, 15, 30min was taken as response variables in 32 face-centered cube design. Nearly 10-fold increase was observed in the solubility of the optimized extrudates in comparison to pure drug. Physical characterization of the extrudates depicted complete amorphization of drug. Sequential coating was performed on to the extrudates to enable a time-dependent release. In-vitro studies clearly demonstrated that 25% of drug was available rapidly within 10 min of administration. The remaining 75% of drug was available over a period of 4, 8 and 12h. Stability studies performed for 6 months at accelerated conditions depicted no significant change in the physicochemical characteristics of the optimized formulation. In-vivo pharmacokinetic studies conducted in beagle dogs ratified the results of in-vitro studies where a sequential time dependent absorption of felodipine was observed over a period of 12h. Concisely, the studies demonstrated successful development of solubility-enhanced chronotherapeutic system of felodipine

Tenofovir Induced Hypokalaemia - A case report

    Get PDF
Tenofovir, an important medication for HIV/AIDS, carries the risk of hypokalemia in patients receiving treatment. Factors such as dietary deficits, vomiting, or diarrhea further increase this risk. Tenofovir acts as a mitochondrial toxin by inhibiting the DNA polymerase gamma enzyme, crucial for mitochondrial DNA replication. Consequently, ATP generation is depleted through the aerobic pathway, leading to dysfunction in the proximal tubule. This dysfunction manifests as renal acidosis type 2, which involves reduced bicarbonate excretion by the proximal tubule, resulting in renal bicarbonate wasting and decreased serum bicarbonate levels. Consequently, the lumen of the distal nephron becomes negatively charged, leading to compensatory potassium secretion and ultimately causing severe hypokalemia. Understanding the mechanisms underlying tenofovir-induced hypokalemia is crucial for healthcare providers to monitor and manage electrolyte imbalances in patients undergoing tenofovir treatment
