    ANTI-OXIDANT AND ANTI-MICROBIAL ACTIVITIES OF SYNTHETIC 3-FORMYL, 7-FLAVONOL INTERMEDIATES OBTAINED BY MICROWAVE ASSISTED TECHNIQUE

    Objective: The synthesized compounds of 3-formyl, 7-flavonols*, after characterization, aimed to be tested for their anti-oxidant and anti-microbial activities.Methods: i) anti-oxidant activities by hydrogen peroxide-nitric oxide-and by alkaline DMSO-methods and ii) anti-microbial activities against various gram-negative and gram-positive pathogens and against candida albicans by disc diffusion method.Results: Findings were found to be dose dependent and IC50 value was 30-60 µg/ml and the results revealed that the dinitro-, trinitro-and acetyl, dinitro derivatives showed better and/or equipotent activity to that of the standard, ascorbic acid. The synthesized compounds at a concentration of (1 μg/10 μl/disc) showed variable inhibitory activities against all bacteria with inhibition zone diameters ranging from 7-26 mm and a good antifungal activity against Candida albicans at the concentration of (1 μg/10 μl/disc) with inhibition of 10-24 mm. Klebsiella tribatta are more susceptible to the action of the formylated samples, giving high inhibition values comparing to the other organisms. Compounds Ie and Ih resulted to a higher activity index (AI>1); compounds Id, Ig and Ii showed an equal value (AI=1); whereas, Ia, Ib, Ic and If showed only a moderate activity (AI<1) compared to the standard, Amikacin.Conclusion: The findings confirmed that the synthetic compounds of 3-formyl, 7-flavonol derives have significant anti-oxidant and anti-microbial activities.*Synthesis and characterization work of 3-formyl, 7-flavonols has already been accepted for publication by the journal Elseveir, Procedio Chemistry and is in process.Â

    AUTO-CDD: automatic cleaning dirty data using machine learning techniques

    Cleaning the dirty data has become very critical significance for many years, especially in medical sectors. This is the reason behind widening research in this sector. To initiate the research, a comparison between currently used functions of handling missing values and Auto-CDD is presented. The developed system will guarantee to overcome processing unwanted outcomes in data Analytical process; second, it will improve overall data processing. Our motivation is to create an intelligent tool that will automatically predict the missing data. Starting with feature selection using Random Forest Gini Index values. Then by using three Machine Learning Paradigm trained model was developed and evaluated by two datasets from UCI (i.e. Diabetics and Student Performance). Evaluated outcomes of accuracy proved Random Forest Classifier and Logistic Regression gives constant accuracy at around 90%. Finally, it concludes that this process will help to get clean data for further analytical process

En prácticamente todos los países del mundo, todo lo que concierne a este complejo fenómeno ocupa un lugar destacado en la agenda política. La gestión, el control y la integración de los movimientos internacionales de personas se presentan como un policy field de creciente y prioritaria relevancia. No se trata, sin embargo, de una cuestión de mera moda: el número de países implicados de manera significativa en las migraciones internacionales ha aumentado considerablemente, hasta el punto de que resulta realmente difícil encontrar algún Estado que no sea bien un país de inmigración, bien un país de emigración o bien ambas cosas a la vez, cuando no al menos un país de tránsito. No ha de extrañar entonces que la mayoría de los gobiernos haya tomado conciencia de la necesidad de ofrecer una respuesta en términos legales e institucionales a un fenómeno de carácter permanente que puede llegar a alterar la estructura demográfica, social, cultural, económica y laboral de un país. Dada la complejidad de la cuestión, y por cuestiones de economía argumentativa, aquí se abordará de manera fundamental desde la perspectiva de los países receptores, que, por lo demás, es también la adoptada en forma habitual por los países europeos que registran mayor inmigración.     Current strategies and prospects in algae for remediation and biofuels: an overview

    Phycoremediation is an environmentally sustainable method that utilizes macro and microalgae to remediate polluted land and water. Phycoremediation consists of two elements: the microbial niche around the algae and the second by the algae itself, which absorb and degrade the toxic pollutants into less or non-toxic components. The advanced gene cloning technology on algae could improve gene efficiency and produce the active xenobiotic degrading enzyme. As a result, remedial rates have improved, allowing large areas of contaminated sites to be addressed in the process of large-scale application. Many organizations worldwide are already focusing on this bioremediation element, special attention on algae to replace the costly physical or chemical remediation methods. Thus, this review reported the Scenedesmus sp. algae used in the polluted tannery site, and the maximum removal was observed in Pb: 75-98% and Zn: 65-98%. Scenedesmus obliquus illustrated the significant Fe3+ (100%) removal applied in the polluted soil. Moreover, since nuclear and chloroplast transformations are important in commercial applications, C. reinhardtii remains the most effective transgenic algae applied for pollutant deduction. It was discovered that Chlorella, Chlamydomonas, and Scenedesmus sp. had the highest pollutant removal efficacy in medicine polluted sites.     AI-Powered Vision Inspection System for Object Classification Application

    Human operators are often susceptible to eye fatigue due to sleep deprivation and excessive workload, which may negatively impact their consistency and efficiency in performing repetitive and challenging inspection tasks. This paper presents the development of an AI-powered vision inspection system for object sorting applications, utilizing a You-Only-Look-Once (YOLO) version 3 pre-trained model based on Deep Convolutional Neural Network's (DCNN) transfer learning technique. Feature extraction for each data point is performed using Darknet53, which subsequently trains the YOLO v3 model. The dataset is partitioned into a training set and test set at a 90:10 ratio. The trained model achieves a mean average precision (mAP) of 99.146%. Enhancing the precision and recall values of the model can be accomplished by increasing the number of dataset instances used for training

    Comprehensive Thermal Characteristic Investigations on Hemp- and Jute-Based Nature Fibre-Reinforced Composites for Engineering Applications through Coupled and Verified Engineering Approaches

    Natural fibre-reinforced polymer composites (NFRPs) have gained increasing attention in recent years as an alternative to conventional materials such as steel and aluminum alloys due to their ecofriendly, renewable, and low-cost nature. This paper focuses on the thermal application of NFRPs, which have shown great potential due to their good thermal insulation properties. In this study, the fabrication of jute and hemp fibre-reinforced composites, experimental testing, comparison, validation by using computational method, and proposed hemp NFRPs insulated exhaust pipe in place of conventional steel pipe. However, challenges such as moisture absorption and limited thermal properties on high thermal load still need to be addressed to enable the full-scale commercialization of NFRPs in thermal applications. For these comprehensive investigations, coupled and verified engineering approaches have been imposed. Fluid-thermal coupling has been executed in ANSYS workbench associated with conventional test outcomes. Through this approach, the low weight and low cost-based thermal load resisting material has been proposed for various engineering applications
