    The Effect on the Job Satisfaction Organization, Performance of Employees Commitment, and Service Performance

    The purpose of this study analyzes the effect of job satisfaction on organizational commitment and performance of employees as well as the performance of health centerservices in Kalimantan Timur. This research uses Structural Equation Model (SEM) with PLS Software for data processing. Data were collected from employees on the front line health center in Kalimantan Timur. The unit of analysis used in this research are health centers in Kalimantan Timur region is represented by three cities each district namely; Samarinda, Kutai, and Balikpapan each city district 10 health centers so that the total sample was 30 health centers. The result of the study found that job satisfaction had significant positive effect on organizational commitment; job satisfaction did not havesignificanteffecttoinfluence on employee performance; job satisfaction did nothave significantly affect the performance of the services; organizational commitmentdid nothave significant effect on employee performance; organizational commitment did not have significant effect on the servicesperformance; andthe performance of employees did not have significant effect on the servicesperformanc

Sutami 36 A Kentingan Surakarta 57126. The purposes of final project are to describe and to explain the functions of the Public Relations and Cooperation Office of Sebelas Maret University. Public Relations and Cooperation Office is an institution which maintains mutual communication with internal and external public, having a good cooperation between an organization and its public and involves the management of problem and issue. The functions of Public Relation and Cooperation Office are maintaining good communication between company and its public, maintaining good communication and spreading information from Sebelas Maret University, distributing public opinion to the rector or vice rector IV about Sebelas maret University ’s image and activities. From the discussion, it is concluded that Public Relation and Cooperation Office has conducted its role and functions well. However, it still has to work hard to reach its goal. Besides, the Public Relations and Cooperation Office needs to hold a professional work training frequently to improve its professionalism.     Literature is a way of reproducing or recreating the experiences of life in words. Literature is identical with daily life because it describes what and how human life is and usually it reflects from the events that happen in the society. Generally, literature consists of poetry, drama and novel. Novel is fictious prose of considerable length in which characters and actions processing to represents those of real life are portrayed in plot. The writer of this thesis chooses one of Danielle Steel’s novel as the title “The Ranch” to be analyzed. Dealing with this study, the writer presents three problems: What are psychological conflicts faced by Tanya Thomas? What are the causes of Tanya Thomas Psychological conflicts? How does Tanya Thomas solve her psychological conflicts? In analyzing this novel, the writer uses descriptive method because she wants to describe the real condition that exists in the object she investigated. Dealing with the study, the writer of this thesis uses the objective approach. The population of this study is the whole events or elements that exist in Danielle Steel’s novel “The Ranch”. The sample is some paragraphs, events or dialogue quotation that are related to the conflict that “Tanya Thomas” has in the novel “The Ranch” by “Danielle Steel”. After analyzing the data, The writer found out the result: Tanya Thomas’s psychological conflicts make her feels depressed, disappointed, and sad. The causes of Tanya Thomas psychological conflicts are the untrue news about her in the tabloids, then her husband decided to leave her and the last is she has no family that must support her. And to solve her problems, Tanya Thomas decided to go to Wyoming and buy the ranch in order if she getting bored to live in Hollywood she can go to the ranch to pull down her problems

    Autism is not a disease but a developmental disorder of brain function which show three typical classic symptoms; problems with verbal and non verbal communication, impaired social interaction, unusual or severelly limited activities and interests. Meanwhile, the function of therapy for autism is very useful to stimulate sensory integration in order to eliminate several communication impairments especilally for the students in verbal catergory. It is because verbal students have a great chance to join regular school as soon as possible. Hence, the researcher formulated two problems in order to find out the effective and ineffective communication therapies for verbal advance students and to explain the factors which supported the responded and unresponded communication therapies. By using descriptive qualitative research design, the communicative techniques in Laboratorium Sekolah Autis of State University in Malang were the research object. Moreover, by the helped of two teachers as informants and three kinds of instruments; observation, interview, and document analysis, all datas were described into tables. Therefore, the communicative techniques are by face to face (between teachers and students), using more repetition and high voice from teachers, using their comprehended language and giving rewards for their success

    SUBTITUSI TEPUNG TALAS PADA PEMBUATAN PRODUK BERAGI (Chocolate Sponge Bread, Pizza, Roti Boy)

    Proyek Akhir ini bertujuan untuk: (1) memperoleh formula yang tepat pada produk chocolate sponge bread, pizza dan roti boy dengan subtitusi tepung talas, (2) mengetahui teknik pengolahan yang tepat pada produk chocolate sponge bread, pizza dan roti boy dengan subtitusi tepung talas, (3) mengetahui penyajian yang tepat pada produk chocolate sponge bread, pizza dan roti boy dengan subtitusi tepung talas, (4) mengetahui daya terima masyarakat terhadap produk chocolate sponge bread, pizza dan roti boy dengan subtitusi tepung talas. Penelitian dan pengembangan dilakukan pada bulan Februari 2012-Juni 2012 di Laboratorium Boga PTBB FT UNY. Metode penelitian menggunakan R&D dengan model perpaduan ADDIE dan 4D yang menghasilkan: (1) analisis resep dari 3 sumber yang berbeda, (2) desain rancangan meliputi rancangan formula resep, rancangan gambar produk, dan rancangan penyajian, (3) pembuatan dan pengujian produk melalui 2 tahap, yaitu tahap validasi I dan validasi II dinilai oleh dosen, serta uji panelis oleh 30(tiga puluh) panelis semi terlatih, (4) pameran produk. Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan pada saat uji panelis dengan memberikan borang penerimaan panelis meliputi rasa, warna, aroma, tekstur, dan penyajian. Data hasil uji panelis kemudian disimpulkan mengenai hasil penerimaan oleh panelis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) formula yang tepat pada pembuatan chocolate sponge bread tepung talas adalah 80%:20% (tepung terigu:tepung talas), pizza tepung talas 70%:30% (tepung terigu:tepung talas) dan roti boy tepung talas 80%:20% (tepung terigu:tepung talas), (2) teknik pengolahan yang tepat pada chocolate sponge bread tepung talas meliputi: penimbangan, pencampuran bahan (straight dough method), pengulian, proofing dan pengovenan, untuk pengolahan sponge cake meliputi proses: pencampuran bahan, pengocokkan (teknik sponge) dan pengovenan, teknik pengolahan pizza tepung talas meliputi: penimbangan, pencampuran bahan (straight dough method), pengulian, proofing, pengovenan, teknik pengolahan roti boy tepung talas meliputi: penimbangan, pencampuran bahan (straight dough method), pengulian, proofing, dan pengovenan dan untuk topping roti boy menggunakan teknik pencampuran creaming, (3) penyajian yang tepat pada chocolate sponge bread tepung talas diberi topping butter cream dan potongan cherry diatasnya, menggunakan cup cesses sebagai alas roti dan disajikan dengan piring persegi empat, pizza tepung talas menggunakan garnish daun pitersely dan disajikan dengan piring berbentuk bulat, roti boy tepung talas penyajian menggunakan plastik transparan untuk kemasan dan piring berbentuk bulat untuk tempat saji, (4) hasil penilaian oleh 30 panelis semi terlatih untuk chocolate sponge bread tepung talas adalah 80% diterima oleh panelis, pizza tepung talas 100% diterima oleh panelis, dan roti boy tepung talas 74% diterima oleh panelis

    IMPROVING THE FOURTH GRADE STUDENTS’ SPEAKING SKILLS THROUGH BOARD GAMES AT SD MUHAMMADIYAH PEPE BANTUL YOGYAKARTA

    This study was aimed at improving the fourth grade students’ speaking skills through board games at SD Muhammadiyah Pepe, Bantul Yogyakarta. Based on the preliminary observation, there were some problems in the teaching and learning of speaking. They dealt with students’ speaking skills related to students’ participation, confidence, comprehension, fluency, vocabulary, pronunciation and grammatical accuracy. The solution for these problems was applying board games and other actions that supported the games’ role in solving the problems. This study is action research. This research consisted of two cycles with three meetings in each cycle. The subjects of the research were the fourth grade students of SD Muhammadiyah Pepe, the English teacher as the collaborator and the researcher. The data collection techniques were observations, interviews and tests. Hence, the data were in the form of field notes, interview transcripts and students’ speaking scores. In analyzing those data, two methods were used. The qualitative data were analyzed in five steps, i.e. assembling the data, coding the data, comparing the data, building interpretations, and reporting the outcomes. The quantitative data in the form of pre-test and post-test scores were analyzed by comparing the mean scores. The result of the research showed that the use of board games in combination with applying various media in the presentation, using songs, using classroom English, and conducting listening activities was able to improve students’ speaking skills. Based on the qualitative data, the students could respond to the language functions appropriately, speak at the normal speech without pausing for words, say the language function in correct pronunciation and appropriate intonation, and use the language functions without grammatical errors. They also enthusiastically joined the teaching and learning activities. Based on the quantitative data, the students’ speaking scores and the number of students who performed each indicator increased. The improvements of the mean scores were 53.85% for comprehension, 66.67% for fluency, 41.7% for vocabulary, 43.8% for pronunciation, and 85.1% for grammatical accuracy. From the data above, it can be concluded that the students’ speaking skills improved

    This blended learning model is a model that combines teaching models, ways of presenting material, learning styles and media used for support. This model is done by combining face-to-face learning and online learning. Blended learning is considered as a refinement of the e-learning method that specializes learners to conduct a full learning process with an online system. Therefore, blended learning is considered to be more effective and does not make learners feel bored because they still have the opportunity to communicate two-way directly. Blended learning model is a learning model that is implemented by using two methods at once. This learning model usually uses a learning model system that combines technology both online and offline. Blended learning is interpreted as a model that combines learning by using a learning media, but it also combines theories, methods and dimensions of teaching. Based on the results of the research, it can be concluded that the blended learning model is a learning model that in its application combines two methods, which can be done face-to-face in class or online while still paying attention to the learning objectives to be achieved

    TPA Jatibarang menghasilkan limbah cair berupa air lindi yang berasal dari tumpukan sampah. Lindi ini memiliki kandungan COD yang tinggi sehingga berbahaya bagi lingkungan dan masyarakat sekitar jika tidak diolah sebelum dibuang ke lingkungan. Salah satu alternatif pengolahannya adalah dengan menggunakan proses koagulasi-flokulasi. Penelitian dalam skala laboratorium ini menggunakan variasi konsentrasi bioflokulan tepung singkong yang ditambahkan pada saat proses koagulasi-flokulasi. Tujuan pada penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui konsentrasi tepung singkong optimum serta menganalisis hasil dan efisiensinya untuk menyisihkan COD pada lindi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penyisihan kandungan COD pada lindi didapatkan optimum pada penambahan bioflokulan tepung singkong konsentrasi 10%, dengan efisiensi penyisihan 34,57%. Evidence is consistent with managers opportunistically shifting expenses from core expenses (cost of goods sold and selling, general, and administrative expenses) to special items.     Variation of morphology, isozymic and vitamin C content of dragon fruit varieties

The aims of the research was to study the variation of morphology, the band pattern of isozyme, and vitamin C content of dragon fruit (Hylocereus spp.) varieties such as super red, red and white from Pasuruan (East Java), Sukoharjo and Klaten (Central Java), and Bantul districts (Yogyakarta). Morphological character were carried include fruit, stem, and flowers of each variety of dragon fruit. The isozymic pattern was analyzed using NTSYS 2.02i. The data matrix was counted based on the DICE coefficient. The clustering was done by applying UPGMA which counted through SHAN. Vitamin C content measured by titration method then analyzed descriptively. The results showed that the higher vitamin C content was found from super red of Pasuruan (6.00) and then followed by red color (5.376) and super red (5.113) both from Bantul. The morphological variation on the stem and petal colors, and fruits were also shown by the isozymic data of three varieties of dragon fruits collected from four separated locations. Esterase (EST) showed 18 bands and forming four (4) groups based on 75% genetic similarity index. The specific band occurred on Rf 0.633 of red varieties of dragon fruit from Bantul and on Rf 0.755 from Pasuruan. The specific band also occurs on Rf 0.347 of white variety from Bantul and on Rf 0.510 and on Rf 0.633 from Klaten. Glutamic oxaloacetic transaminase (GOT) enzyme shows 12 bands and also forming four groups with a little difference for member in the fourth group. The specific band occurs on Rf 0.321 of red color fruit from Pasuruan. The specific band also occurs on the white from Pasuruan on Rf 0.446 and on Rf 0.482. The variation of dragon fruits were also supported by isozymic data indicated that the morphological character were in accordance with the genetics data.
