An evaluation study on ASP textbook 'Advanced Media Arabic'
The objectives of this paper are two folds: firstly, to highlight the systematic approach adopted in evaluating an ASP textbook and secondly, to report the status of an ASP textbook "Advanced Media Arabic". for this purpose the paper adopts analytical method, with analyzing Arabic experts' comments and suggestions towards the proposed criteria of the evaluation tool. The tool was initially developed by Rushdi To'eima in evaluating Arabic textbooks and then extensively developed by a group of researchers and IIUM post graduate students. The paper also adopts evaluation method in assessing the "Advanced Media Arabic". The discussion in this paper will have three main parts; the first is with its focus on development of evaluation tool, the second is on the methodology and the procedure of evaluation study, while the last will present the findings of this study. The paper will highlight the strengths and weaknesses of the book as well as putting some technical advice and suggestions to improve the book's quality
PENENTUAN KADAR DHA DAN EPA DALAM MIKROALGA Spirulina Platensis KERING DENGAN METODE SPEKTOFOTOMETER
Salah satu dampak kekurangan asam-asam lemak omega-3 dan omega-6 di Indonesia adalah terjadinya gizi buruk khususnya pada anak bayi. Pembuatan nutrisi yang mengandung DHA dan EPA yang murah dan efisien dapat menjadi solusi permasalahan tersebut. Pada umumnya suplemen tersebut diperoleh dari minyak ikan laut, namun sumber ini memiliki beberapa kekurangan yang mempengaruhi kualitas asam lemak yang dihasilkan, sehingga diperlukan pengganti minyak ikan laut sebagai sumber utama DHA, EPA dan AA. Salah satu sumber pelengkap nutrisi yang sangat potensial adalah mikroalga yang kembangbiakkan secara heterotrof. Hasil analisis kadar DHA dan EPA dan pembuatan formula mikroenkapsul dengan berbagai variasi konsentrasi untuk mencari formula mikroenkapsul terbaik. Hasil analisis DHA dan EPA dengan menggunakan spektrofotometer pada berat kering biomassa Spirulina Platensis berturut-turut diperoleh sebesar 72,345 mg/g dan 331,07 mg/g mikroalga Spirulina platensis
Isu dan Cabaran dalam Pelaksanaan Pendidikan Peringkat Rendah dan Menengah: Pendekatan Malaysia Semasa Pandemik Covid-19
Asas pendidikan khususnya di peringkat rendah dan menengah adalah sangat penting dalam mencorak dan membentuk generasi baharu yang seimbang dari aspek intelektual, emosi, jasmani, rohani dan sahsiah, di samping mempunyai daya pemikiran yang kreatif, kritis dan berdaya saing dalam mempersiapkan diri untuk mendepani transformasi pendidikan di peringkat pengajian tinggi dan melahirkan modal insan yang berpengetahuan dan berkemahiran tinggi serta produktif dalam menghadapi pelbagai cabaran yang mendatang di abad ke-21 selaras dengan hasrat Dasar Pendidikan Negara Walau bagaimanapun, sistem pendidikan yang dilaksanakan di negara ini mengalami perubahan drastik dan terjejas teruk apabila semua sekolah perlu ditutup sepenuhnya berikutan negara berhadapan dengan krisis penularan pandemik Covid-19 yang kini menjadi fenomena yang amat membimbangkan rakyat di seluruh dunia. Situasi ini benar-benar memberi kesan yang mendalam kepada semua pihak berkepentingan terutamanya guru-guru dan murid-murid apabila kaedah pengajaran dan pembelajaran yang dahulunya dijalankan secara bersemuka perlu diubah kepada kaedah pembelajaran dari rumah (home-based learning), di samping keperluan mematuhi Standard Operation Standard (SOP) dan mempraktikkan norma-norma baharu dalam menjalani kehidupan seharian. Kajian ini akan membuat penelitian berhubung strategi yang telah diguna pakai oleh Kementerian Pendidikan Malaysia (KPM) sebagai peneraju sistem pendidikan negara dalam melaksanakan pelbagai inisiatif melalui pendekatan dan kaedah yang terbaik dalam mengatasi isu-isu dan cabaran yang timbul dalam sektor pendidikan, antaranya melaksanakan pendekatan pembelajaran dari rumah, pembatalan dan pindaan tarikh peperiksaan awam, merancang strategi pembukaan semula sekolah selepas tempoh PKP dan pindaan takwim persekolahan tahun 2020 demi memastikan proses pengajaran dan pembelajaran dapat diteruskan dan dalam masa yang sama membantu negara memerangi pandemik Covid-19 dalam tempoh Perintah Kawalan Pergerakan yang sedang dilaksanakan sehingga hari ini
Self efficacy towards career satisfaction among female engineers
This conceptual paper reviews the influence of self-efficacy towards career satisfaction among female engineers. It reviews the basis from Bandura (1977)’s social cognitive theory – that, with self-efficacy, one can achieve what one sets out to do. Self-efficacy has the capability to influence an individual’s belief regarding his or her ability to successfully complete tasks necessary to making career decisions. In the case of female engineers, working in a male-dominated profession, self-efficacy plays an important role on female’s career satisfaction. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis peningkatan pemasaran melalui digitalisasi marketing pada Kelompok Wanita Tani (KWT) di Bandungan, Semarang. Secara lebih khusus, penelitian ini menganalisis tolok ukur KWT dalam peningkatan pemasaran, perannya dalam peningkatan pemasaran dan promosi melalui digitalisasi marketing, bentuk promosi yang digunakan dalammeningkatkan pemasaran, faktor pendukung serta penghambat KWT dalam memasarkan sayuran, dan strategi pengembangan untuk memasarkan sayuran. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan datanya berupa observasi dan wawancara mendalam kepada parapartisipan KWT di Desa Pakop

The objectives of this paper are three folds: firstly, to highlight the studies which have used
documentary film as authentic input in teaching second language skills, secondly to review the studies
which have used documentary film in enhancing the second language writing skill, and lastly to offer
ways to deal with documentary film in improving Arabic as a Second Language (ASL) writing skill.
For this purpose, the paper analyses related literature review and previous studies in the field. The
literature review shows the concern of second language practitioners as well as scholars in the field
in using documentary film in the learning process. However, studies related to ASL are very scarce.
There are four steps to be adopted for the purpose of linking documentary film input with enhancing writing skills output. The paper also highlights the strengths of documentary film as authentic input in language teaching as well as putting forth some technical advice and suggestions to improve the selection of teaching materials
