    ISOLASI DAN IDENTIFIKASI BAKTERI SALMONELLA ENTERITIDIS PADA DAGING AYAM BROILER YANG DIJUAL DI PASAR TRADISIONAL LAMNYONG,KOTA BANDA ACEH

    Penelitian ini bertujuan mengisolasi dan mengidentifikasi bakteri Salmonella enteritidis yang mengkontaminasi daging ayam yang dijual di pasar tradisional Lamnyong, Kota Banda Aceh. Dalam penelitian ini digunakan 10 ekor ayam broiler yang dari tiap ekornya diambil 2 sampel, kulit dan daging bagian paha. Semua sampel dipotong kecil kemudian dilakukan perbanyakan pada media Selenyte Cystein Broth (SCB) diinkubasikan pada suhu 37oC selama 18-24 jam. Selanjutnya dilakukan pemupukan pada media selektif Salmonella Shigella Agar (SSA) dan diinkubasikan pada suhu 37oC selama 18-24 jam. Koloni yang menciri dilakukan perbanyakan kembali pada media Nutrient Agar (NA) miring diinkubasikan pada suhu 37oC selama 18-24 jam, dan kemudian dilakukan uji Biokimia (Indol, MR-VP, SIM, Simmons Citrate, TSIA, glukosa, laktosa, sukrosa, manitol, dan maltosa). Hasil pemeriksaan terhadap bakteri Salmonella enteritidis menunjukkan bahwa 20 sampel terdiri dari 10 sampel daging ayam broiler dan 10 sampel kulit ayam broiler bagian paha ditemukan adanya bakteri Salmonella enteritidis sebesar 20% pada daging dan 20% pada bagian kulit ayam broiler

    PENGEMBANGAN LKS PRAKTIKUM BERDASARKAN MODEL INKUIRI TERBIMBING PADA PENENTUAN KADAR ASAM SITRAT DALAM MINUMAN BERENERGI

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan LKS praktikum berdasarkan model inkuiri terbimbing pada penentuan kadar asam sitrat dalam minuman berenergi. LKS praktikum yang dikembangkan dinilai oleh guru dan dosen terhadap kesesuaiannya dengan konsep dan tata bahasa. LKS juga diuji cobakan untuk mengetahui keterlaksanaan tahapan inkuiri dan respon siswa. Langkah-langkah penelitian meliputi studi pendahuluan dan pengembangan model (uji coba terbatas). LKS praktikum topik titrasi asam basa yang ada di sekolah dan sumber LKS lain kebanyakan masih dalam bentuk cookbook. Hasil optimasi penggunaan bahan dalam praktikum titrasi adalah menggunakan 3 tetes indikator fenolftalein, dengan konsentrasi NaOH 0,0426 M (minuman berenergi A) dan 0,0089 M (minuman berenergi B). Hasil keterlaksanaan praktikum menggunakan LKS praktikum yang dilakukan pada siswa kelas XI di salah satu SMA Negeri Bandung menunjukkan sebesar 92,5% untuk keterlaksanaan tahapan inkuiri dan 90,3% untuk hasil penilaian jawaban siswa, sehingga keduanya termasuk ke dalam kategori sangat baik. Hasil penilaian guru dan dosen terhadap kesesuaian LKS praktikum dengan konsep diperoleh 87,0% (sangat baik). Penilaian guru dan dosen terhadap kesesuaian LKS praktikum dengan tata bahasa memperoleh skor 81,9% (sangat baik). Sementara itu, hasil respon siswa terhadap LKS praktikum yang dikembangkan sebesar 80,7% (sangat baik).---------- This study aims to develop guided inquiry model based lab worksheet on determination of citric acid concentration in energy drinks. The step of this study includes preliminary study and model development (limited testing). The developed lab-work was assessed by teachers and lecturers in terms of the concept and grammar. Lab-worksheet was also assessed to determine the feasibility stage of inquiry and students’ responses. Based on literature study and survey conducted to 10 senior high schools (SMA) in Bandung, acid base titration laboratory worksheets are mostly still cookbook. The result of optimization for each titration is using 3 drops of phenolphtalein indicator, and NaOH 0,0426 M (energy drink A) dan 0,0089 M (energy drink B). The result of feasibility of the developed lab-work that was conducted to grade XI students from one of senior high schools in Bandung showed its inquiry steps feasibility to be 92,5% and students’ assessments answer 90,3%, thus the two were categorized as very good. The assessment results from teachers and lectures on laboratory teaching materials developed in terms of concept and grammars obtained respectively 87,0% and 81,9% (very good). Meanwhile, the result of students’ response were 80,7% (very good)

    Power converter for dual-power photovoltaic-grid energy system / Intan Rahayu Ibrahim

    High frequency switching activities of power electronic devices in the power converter produce switching losses, harmonic distortions and raise high voltage and magnetic stresses in the power converter circuit, consequently affecting the efficiency and quality of output of the converter. In this research study, a new power converter utilizing low fundamental frequency switching technique is being proposed to resolve harmonics distortion issues. This research aims to develop switching and control technique for power converter in dual-power photovoltaic-grid energy system. 21level cascaded H-bridge multilevel inverter is developed by cascading five of 5-level H-bridges with five separate PV sources. 5-level H-bridge produces high level of output "stepped" voltage with reduced number of power switches. The optimized switching strategy of proposed MhyPSO technique successfully reduced the THD level to 3.94% in the simulation circuit and 6.7% in the hardware circuit. Each of 5level H-bridges is equipped with the individual boost regulator embedded with MPPT and battery management system. The operation and the synchronization of the power converter system is digitally controlled to ensure the system works at the maximum captured power and produces fixed 240V, 50Hz power supply in variation of environmental conditions. The supervisory controller administers the transition of supply and mode of operation, meanwhile, the converter controller commands electronic switches in power converter components. It is verified in the simulation works, the boost regulator circuit is capable of tracking maximum power point and boosting the PV module voltage to 72V. The simulation analysis of the battery management circuit verified that the algorithm implemented is succeeded in detecting PV current, evaluating charging mode and regulating charging current. The switch over circuit and supervisory controller is capable of monitoring the PV current and trigger the transition of power supply whenever PV current is below or above the pre-set condition. The transition delay recorded during the transition of power supply are 2.2ms and 4ms for transition of supply power from PV to grid and grid to PV respectively. All simulation works are verified with the experimental findings and it is concluded that all the research objectives have been achieved

    This study aims to determine the effect of adding guava leaf flour and activated charcoal to laying quail rations on productivity during peak production. The method used was experimental with a factorial complete randomized design, consisting of 4 treatments and repeated 6 times, treatment variations of two factors guava leaf flour (JB) and activated charcoal (AA) namely, P0 (100% control feed), P1 ( P0 + 0.5% JB + 0.5% AA), P2 (P0 + 0.5% JB + 1.0% AA), P3 (P0 +1.0% JB + 0.5% AA). The material used was 240 laying quails aged 90 days. Variables observed included feed consumption, egg production and FCR. The results of this study showed that the addition of guava leaf flour and activated charcoal to laying quail rations during peak production had no significant effect (P<0.05) on feed consumption with the lowest number at P0, namely 25.01 gram/head/day, egg production the highest was at P1 which was 92.36% and the lowest FCR was at P1 which was 2.47. The conclusion of the addition of guava leaf meal and activated charcoal to laying quail rations on peak production productivity had no significant effect on feed consumption, egg production and FCR

    NEEDS ANALYSIS FOR ESP COURSE DEVELOPMENT FOR UNDERGRADUATE ENGINEERING STUDENTS

    Abstract This research is aimed at finding out the target needs, in terms of necessities and lacks, relevant to engineering work context, and investigating the learning needs as the route to meet the target needs. A cross-sectional survey as research design was employed. The data were gained from the semi-structured interview to three representatives of English lecturers for engineering and the questionnaire to ninety fourth-year engineering students in the Faculty of Engineering in one of universities in Bandung. The results reveal that engineering students’ English proficiency has not met the target needs provoked by the majority lacks of communication skill, particularly speaking fluently and giving an oral presentation. With this in mind, some preferred-learning needs to overcome the lacks are the significance use of a good combination material, the use of internet as a media, working in a small group and in pair as learning partner, having a simulation related to engineering work context, problem solving, and an oral presentation. This research is expected to contribute towards the Faculty of Engineering in developing and evaluating the English course design relevant to the current demand and English lecturers in planning and conducting instruction in line with engineering students’ preference in learning English;--- Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kebutuhan sasaran, yang mencakup kebutuhan dan kelemahan, yang berhubungan dengan konteks pekerjaan keahlian teknik, dan mengetahui kebutuhan pembelajaran sebagai cara untuk mencapai kebutuhan sasaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan survey kros-seksional. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan bahasa Inggris mahasiswa teknik belum memenuhi kebutuhan sasaran yang disebabkan oleh kelemahan terbesar dalam kemampuan berkomunikasi, terutama berbicara dengan lancar dan presentasi dalam bahasa Inggris. Oleh karena itu, untuk mengatasi kelemahan tersebut, beberapa kebutuhan belajar bahasa Inggris yang dipilih mahasiswa adalah pentingnya penggunaan materi yang dikombinasikan dengan baik, penggunaan internet sebagai media, belajar dalam kelompok kecil dan pasangan sebagai teman belajar, simulasi yang berhubungan dengan konteks pekerjaan teknik, penyelesaian masalah, dan presentasi dalam bahasa Inggris. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat berkontribusi terhadap Fakultas Teknik dalam mengembangkan dan mengevaluasi rencana pembelajaran bahasa Inggris yang sesuai dengan tuntutan saat ini, dan untuk dosen bahasa Inggris dalam menrencanakan dan mengimplementsikan rencana pembelajaran sesuai dengan preferensi mahasiswa teknik dalam belajar bahasa Inggris

    PERBANDINGAN ASUPAN GIZI DAN STATUS GIZI ANTARA MAHASISWA ANGKATAN 2015 DENGAN ANGKATAN 2016 JURUSAN PENDIDIKAN OLAHRAGA FIO UNESA

    Abstrak Mahasiswa merupakan remaja dengan kisaran usia antara 18-22 tahun yang merupakan periode rentan gizi, sehingga perlu asupan makan yang mengandung jumlah zat gizi yang lebih tinggi daripada orang dewasa. Kondisi mahasiswa angkatan 2016 dan 2015 di Jurusan Pendidikan Olahraga FIO Unesa memiliki bentuk tubuh yang beragam. Angkatan 2016 memiliki jadwal kuliah lebih padat, sehingga memerlukan asupan makanan yang memenuhi kebutuhannya. Sedangkan perkuliahan angkatan 2015 hanya fokus di skripsi dan mata kuliah yang mengulang saja, namun asupan makanannya sama seperti angkatan 2016. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui perbedaan dan mana yang lebih baik asupan gizi dan status gizi antara mahasiswa angkatan 2015 dengan angkatan 2016 Jurusan Pendidikan Olahraga FIO Unesa. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah non-eksperimen dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Teknik sampel yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling. Subjek dari penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa angkatan 2015 dan 2016 Jurusan Pendidikan Olahraga masing – masing sejumlah 30 mahasiswa. Instrument yang digunakan ialah IMT dan formulir food recall 24 jam. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan ialah uji t dan Mann Whitney Test. Berdasarkan analisis data diperoleh: uji t IMT (status gizi ) diperoleh nilai 0,93, dan nilai tersebut di atas 0,05, maka tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan. Uji t asupan gizi diperoleh nilai 0,004, dan nilai tersebut di bawah 0,05, maka terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan. Uji t karbohidrat diperoleh nilai 0,000, dan nilai tersebut di bawah 0,05, maka terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan. Uji t lemak diperoleh nilai 0,08, dan nilai tersebut di atas 0,05, maka tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan. Dari Mann-Whitney Test protein diperoleh nilai r 0,48, dan nilai tersebut di atas 0,05, maka tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan. Jadi terdapat perbedaan asupan gizi dan karbohidrat mahasiswa angkatan 2015 dan 2016. Asupan gizi dan karbohidrat lebih baik angkatan 2015 daripada 2016. Dan tidak terdapat perbedaan status gizi, lemak dan protein pada angkatan 2015 dan 2016, karena mempunyai nilai rata – rata yang relatif sama. Kata kunci : Mahasiswa, Asupan Gizi, dan Status Gizi Abstract College students are teenagers aged between 18 to 22 years old. It is necessary to ensure their nutrition intake with their activities. It is interesting, because every student level has different activities. This study aims to inquire the difference between junior and senior year student. it is a comparative study by using quantitative approach.. There were 30 junior and 30 senior year students which were selected by purposive sampling methods. The data were collected by Body Mass Index and 24 hours food recall instrument. Furthermore, the data were analyzed by T-test and Mann Whitney Test. Based on statistical analysis obtained, BMI T-test score is 0.93. It means there is no significant difference. Moreover, the nutrition intake score is 0.004. It means there is a significant difference. Carbohydrates nutrient T-test has score 0.000 and it means there is a significant difference. Fat nutrient T-test score is 0.08 it means there is no significant difference. Protein nutrient mann whitney test has 0.48 r value and it means there is no significant difference between junior and senior year college students. It is concluded that there is a significant differences of nutrition intake and carbohydrate nutrient between junior and senior year students and in this case senior year student has better nutrition intake than junior year students. Furthermore, there is no significant differences of nutritional status, fat and protein nutrient between these two college student groups.     Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) Bagaimana Penerapan Good Government Governance pada Kabupaten Bandung Barat, (2) Bagaimana Pengawasan Internal pada Kabupaten Bandung Barat, (3) Bagaimana Kinerja Pemerintah Daerah pada Kabupaten Bandung Barat, dan (4) Apakah Good Government Governance dan Pengawasan Internal berpengaruh terhadap kinerja pemerintah secara parsial maupun simultan. Dalam penelitian ini teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah metode Nonprobability sampling dengan teknik sampel jenuh. Total responden yang diterima sebanyak 94 responden dari 47 SKPD. Data yang dipakai dalam penelitian ini merupakan data primer yang diperoleh berdasarkan hasil penyebaran kuesioner. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukan (1) Good Government Governance berpengaruh positif terhadap Kinerja Pemerintah Daerah, (2) Pengawasan Internal berpengaruh positif terhadap Kinerja Pemerintah Daerah, dan (3) Good Government Governance dan Pengawasan Internal berpengaruh positif terhadap kinerja pemerintah daerah
