Premarital Agreements in the ALI Principles of Family Dissolution
Funktionerna i produktbackloggen delades sedan in i kategorierna nödvändiga, önskvärda samt onödiga funktioner.
Computational Results for the KTH-NASA Wind-Tunnel Model Used for Acquisition of Transonic Nonlinear Aeroelastic Data
A status report is provided on the collaboration between the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Sweden and the NASA Langley Research Center regarding the aeroelastic analyses of a full-span fighter configuration wind-tunnel model. This wind-tunnel model was tested in the Transonic Dynamics Tunnel (TDT) in the summer of 2016. Large amounts of data were acquired including steady/unsteady pressures, accelerations, strains, and measured dynamic deformations. The aeroelastic analyses presented include linear aeroelastic analyses, CFD steady analyses, and analyses using CFD-based reduced-order models (ROMs)
Status of the KTH-NASA Wind-Tunnel Test for Acquisition of Transonic Nonlinear Aeroelastic Data
This paper presents a status report on the collaboration between the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Sweden and the NASA Langley Research Center regarding the design, fabrication, modeling, and testing of a full-span lighter configuration in the Transonic Dynamics Tunnel (TDT). The goal of the test is to acquire transonic limit-cycle- oscillation (LCO) data, including accelerations, strains, and unsteady pressures. Finite element models (FEMs) and aerodynamic models are presented and discussed along with results obtained to date

A case of septicaemic anthrax in an intravenous drug user
<p><b>Background:</b> In 2000, Ringertz et al described the first case of systemic anthrax caused by injecting heroin contaminated with anthrax. In 2008, there were 574 drug related deaths in Scotland, of which 336 were associated with heroin and or morphine. We report a rare case of septicaemic anthrax caused by injecting heroin contaminated with anthrax in Scotland.</p>
<p><b>Case Presentation:</b> A 32 year old intravenous drug user (IVDU), presented with a 12 hour history of increasing purulent discharge from a chronic sinus in his left groin. He had a tachycardia, pyrexia, leukocytosis and an elevated C-reactive protein (CRP). He was treated with Vancomycin, Clindamycin, Ciprofloxacin, Gentamicin and Metronidazole. Blood cultures grew Bacillus anthracis within 24 hours of presentation. He had a computed tomography (CT) scan and magnetic resonance imagining (MRI) of his abdomen, pelvis and thighs performed. These showed inflammatory change relating to the iliopsoas and an area of necrosis in the adductor magnus.</p>
<p>He underwent an exploration of his left thigh. This revealed chronically indurated subcutaneous tissues with no evidence of a collection or necrotic muscle. Treatment with Vancomycin, Ciprofloxacin and Clindamycin continued for 14 days. Negative Pressure Wound Therapy (NPWT) device was applied utilising the Venturi™ wound sealing kit. Following 4 weeks of treatment, the wound dimensions had reduced by 77%.</p>
<p><b>Conclusions:</b> Although systemic anthrax infection is rare, it should be considered when faced with severe cutaneous infection in IVDU patients. This case shows that patients with significant bacteraemia may present with no signs of haemodynamic compromise. Prompt recognition and treatment with high dose IV antimicrobial therapy increases the likelihood of survival. The use of simple wound therapy adjuncts such as NPWT can give excellent wound healing results.</p>
Pineal Region Glioblastoma, a Case Report and Literature Review
Introduction: Pineal region glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) is a rare disease entity with a generally poor prognosis. We present a case of a patient with an unresectable pineal region GBM treated with chemoradiation with favorable outcome.
Case background: A 65-year-old patient who was presented with visual symptoms was found to have a pineal region tumor on imaging. A stereotactic biopsy showed a World Health Organization Grade IV GBM, O-6-methylguanine-DNA methyltransferase (MGMT) promoter methylated, isocitrate dehydrogenase 1 and 2 wild type. The patient was treated with radiotherapy with concurrent temozolomide, followed by adjuvant temozolomide. Disease progression occurred at 58 weeks post-biopsy, which prompted the initiation of bevacizumab. The patient was alive and functioning well as of his last follow up, 166 weeks from the initial biopsy.
Discussion: On our review of the literature, 24 cases of pineal region GBM have been reported. The median reported survival for these previously reported cases was 6 months (range, 2–24 months). This patient has the longest overall survival reported to date for a patient with this diagnosis. This is the first patient in the literature with pineal region GBM who has been reported to have MGMT promoter methylation.
Concluding remarks: Although pineal region GBM is a rare disease entity with a gener- ally poor prognosis, long-term survival is achievable for select patients. MGMT promoter methylation may potentially have prognostic value. Favorable control of recurrent disease with the use of bevacizumab is possible
