    HUMANISTIC THOUGHT IN MUSIC ARTS EDUCATION

    Research is the foundation of music education that has a humanistic mind. This research was conducted to determine the initial study of learning that could have been more optimal. Music education has not been able to express freedom and maturity. This research is due to a need to foster students' sense of awareness and responsibility. This awareness can expand students' experiences in music in the surrounding environment. The research used literature studies from ten articles published in national journals and then abstracted to compare the findings. The results showed that music education focuses on art elements, including expressing, appreciating, creating, and creating harmony in the environment. Music arts education can motivate students to discover the character and personality of students in knowledge, potential, and positive behavior in the surrounding environment.Keywords: Musical Art; Humanistic PerspectivePEMIKIRAN HUMANISTIK DALAM PENDIDIKAN SENI MUSIKAbstrak Riset merupakan landasan pendidikan musik yang berwawasan humanistik. Penelitian ini dilakukan karena adanya kebutuhan untuk menumbuhkan rasa kesadaran dan tanggung jawab siswa. Kesadaran tersebut dapat memperluas pengalaman siswa dalam bermusik di lingkungan sekitarnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan studi literatur dari sepuluh artikel yang diterbitkan di jurnal nasional dan kemudian disarikan untuk membandingkan temuan tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan musik menitikberatkan pada unsur seni yang meliputi mengungkapkan, mengapresiasi, berkreasi, dan menciptakan keselarasan dalam lingkungan.     Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran Bernyanyi Secara Unisono Di Kelas VII-5 SMP Negeri 22 Pekanbaru

    This study aims to describe the implementation of cultural arts learning in unisono singing material. This type of research is qualitative research with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques through literature studies, observations, interviews and documentation. Data analysis is carried out by classifying primary and secondary data then systematically compiled until conclusions are drawn.The results showed that the implementation of singing learning unisono was not optimal, due to the lack of teacher mastery of the learning implementation plan (RPP). The lack of understanding of teachers' understanding of unisono singing learning so that students are less guided in carrying out singing practices unisono in grades VII-5. The learning strategy used by teachers is Discovery Learning (The ability of students to search so that they can find their own). However, many of the students have not been able to sing unisono in accordance with the established techniques. Due to the lack of mastery of songs owned by students.Penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan pembelajaran seni budaya pada materi Bernyanyi Secara Unisono. Jenis penelitian menggunakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui studi pustaka, observasi,  wawancara dan dokumentasi.  Analisis data dilakukan dengan mengklasifiasi data primer dan sekunder kemudian disusun secara sistematis terakhir ditarik kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan pembelajaran bernyanyi secara unisono kurang maksimal, karena kurangnya penguasaan guru terhadap rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran (RPP). Kurangnya pemahaman guru terhadap pembelajaran bernyanyi secara unisono sehingga siswa kurang terbimbing dalam melaksanakan praktik bernyanyi secara unisono di kelas VII-5. Strategi pembelajaran yang digunakan guru yaitu  Discovery Learning (Kemampuan peserta didik dalam mencari sehingga dapat menemukan sendiri). Namun banyak diantara peserta didik belum mampu bernyanyi secara unisono sesuai dengan teknik-teknik yang ditetapkan, dikarenakan minimnya penguasaan lagu yang dimiliki peserta didik

Change can only be through real activities and not discourse, "this is where creativity and cultural values that can build human character lie.     Siriah Gadang: Galombang Dance Elements in Reconstruction in Pariangan, West Sumatra

    This article aimed to revive the use of Siriah Gadang in the reconstruction of the Galombang dance in Nagari Pariangan, Tanah Datar district, West Sumatra. Siriah Gadang is one of the important elements of equipment in the presentation of this Galombang dance. To achieve this goal, qualitative research was used, through interviews and observations using video recordings. The results showed that the uniqueness of Siriah Gadang was found in a reconstruction of the Galombang dance in the Pariangan village. Siriah Gadang is a dance element that does not exist in other Galombang dances in West Sumatra, so it is a characteristic of this dance. Keywords: Siriah Gadang, Galombang dance, reconstructio

    INDONESIAN EDUCATION POLICY AND MANAGEMENT: BOS FUND IN PRIMARY SCHOOLS

    This article discusses the policy and management of Education: BOS Fund in Primary Schools. Based on Permendikbud No 161 of 2014 concerning Technical Guidelines for the Management of Regular School Operational Assistance Funds. BOS fund management has at least three indicators: Planning, implementation and reporting. These three indicators are the benchmark for managing BOS funds well. The research method uses a literature study with a meta-analysis of ten national journal review results based on BOS fund management indicators: Planning, implementation, and reporting. Results of this study: 1. Planning involves all school residents, including the principal, treasurer, teachers, employees, committees, and parents. This Planning is poured in the form of the preparation of RKAS. RKAS is made with various considerations and by the conditions of each elementary school. 2. The implementation of BOS fund management, starting with the withdrawal of funds; some are carried out in Dahab, and some are all at once; the collection adjusts to each condition and then allocates by the RKAS that has been made. The collection of BOS funds must be recorded in detail and clearly. As well as leaving a minimum balance as a precaution. 3. Reporting is carried out gradually and every day so that it is monitored in real and particular. This reporting is in the form of a unique BOS fund governance book.  Article visualizations

    Perbandingan Kurikulum Pendidikan Indonesia dan Finlandia

    This study was conducted to determine the design of the education system adopted from the Finnish education system. Therefore, a comparison of the Indonesian and Finnish education curricula is needed so that it can be considered in making decisions and policies to improve the Indonesian education curriculum. The use of methods in this study is revie literature from several national journal research results to compare educational curricula, especially Indonesia and Finland. The results showed that the Indonesian education curriculum can be categorized as low because it refers to the five aspects of the curriculum, which are curriculum objectives that depend on (1) student readiness and independence; (2) curriculum material that is emphasized to each school by involving students in the announcement of the material studied; (3) learning media based on student comfort in the learning process;  (4) learning strategies that can advance student achievement; and (5) a learning process that does not bind students by giving a lot of homework from the teacher. The results of this research contribute to improving the quality of Indonesian education and policy making in the Indonesian education curriculum.&nbsp

    Pelatihan Optimalisasi Produksi Musik: Aplikasi Ableton Live 10 untuk Guru dan Siswa

    Program pengabdian ini bertujuan mempelajari dan memberikan bantuan terkait kebutuhan guru dan siswa di SMA DEK Business School Padang dalam mengintegrasikan Program Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila (P5) dengan teknologi musik, khususnya dalam pembuatan musik untuk pembelajaran guru menghadapi kendala dalam membimbing siswa karena kurangnya penguasaan teknologi musik. Untuk mengatasi hal ini, tim pengabdian menyelenggarakan pelatihan menggunakan aplikasi musik, termasuk perangkat lunak Ableton Live, untuk meningkatkan keterampilan musik siswa dan guru. Program ini bertujuan meningkatkan kreativitas siswa dan kompetensi guru. Metode pengabdian yang digunakan adalah berupa pelatihan praktis, diskusi kelompok, tugas dan proyek, serta tahap evaluasi. Hasil yang terlihat dalam proses cenderung positif, dengan peserta menunjukkan minat tinggi terhadap peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran melalui teknologi. Pelatihan dianggap penting untuk mendukung Program P5. Guru dan siswa membutuhkan peningkatan keterampilan pengajaran, pemanfaatan teknologi, pengembangan karakter siswa, peningkatan prestasi akademik, dan kreativitas siswa. Meskipun sebagian siap, beberapa lainnya belum sepenuhnya siap melaksanakan Program P5. Pelatihan karakter siswa dianggap relevan, namun beberapa peserta menginginkan perbaikan. Kesimpulannya, respons peserta mencerminkan minat dan kebutuhan terkait Program P5 dan teknologi dalam pendidikan, menegaskan perlunya perhatian lebih lanjut dalam pengembangan keterampilan dan penerapan teknologi untuk meningkatkan pembelajaran siswa di SMA DEK Business School Padang. This community service program aims to study and provide assistance related to the needs of teachers and students at SMA DEK Business School Padang in integrating the Strengthening Student Character Profile Program (P5) with music technology, particularly in music production for learning purposes. Teachers face challenges in guiding students due to a lack of proficiency in music technology. To address this, the authors conducted practical training sessions, group discussions, assignments and projects, and evaluation phases. The observed results in the process tend to be positive in which the participants show a high interest in tenhancing the quality of learning through technology. A training is considered highly essential to support the P5 Program. Teachers and students require improvement in teaching skills, utilization of technology, student character development, academic achievement, and student creativity. While some are ready, others are not fully prepared to implement the P5 Program. Character training is deemed relevant, but some participants suggest improvements. In conclusion, participant responses reflect interest and needs related to the P5 Program and technology in education, emphasizing the need for further attention to skill development and technology implementation to enhance student learning at SMA DEK Business School Padang

    Analysis of Timbre in Melodic Arrangements of Popular Minang Songs Using a Spectrum Analyzer

    Timbre is one of the main elements considered in musical arrangements, including contemporary Minang pop songs which have undergone significant development due to improvements in recording studio quality and increasingly qualified human resources. This study aims to describe the instrumentation and examine the characteristics of timbre in melodic instruments used in contemporary Minang pop song arrangements. Ableton Live 10 and Izotope Insight 2 software were used to analyze the audio spectrum produced by melodic instruments in recent Minang song arrangements. The results of audio processing using spectrum analyzer show that three main timbres of Minang songs are circulating and viral on social media: Acoustic Guitar, Bansi, and Overdrive Guitar. The first two instruments typically fill the melody line in the Intro, Interlude, and Coda, while the third instrument acts as a melody carrier in the transition part of the song. The instrumentation used in Minang song arrangements consists of acoustic instruments, specifically  Yamaha  guitars with Fishman Preamps, VST Instruments Sampletank2, and Real eight guitars. In this study, only two timbres were analyzed using the application: Acoustic Guitar and Bansi. The software analysis reveals that the two melodic timbres have unique characteristics formed by different overtone series formulas, with Acoustic Guitar having approximately 15 overtone pieces and Bansi having 8. Based on the results generated by the audio analysis application Izotope Insight 2, the timbre of guitar and bansi in contemporary Minang pop songs exhibit two unique characteristics. The guitar demonstrates a rich character with a significant number of overtone series at high frequencies. On the other hand, bansi tends to have a smooth and soft character due to its less dominant frequency points at each interval and lower amplitudes. Analisis Timbre pada Aransemen Melodik Lagu Minang Populer Menggunakan Spectrum Analyzer. Timbre merupakan salah satu elemen utama yang menjadi sorotan dalam menciptakan sebuah aransemen musik, begitupun dalam lagu pop Minang kontemporer yang telah mengalami perkembangan signifikan karena adanya peningkatan kualitas studio rekaman dan sumber daya manusia yang semakin berkualitas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan instrumen dan mengeksplorasi karakteristik timbre pada instrumen melodi yang digunakan dalam aransemen lagu pop Minang kontemporer. Penelitian ini menggunakan perangkat lunak Ableton Live 10 dan Izotope Insight 2 untuk menganalisis spektrum audio yang dihasilkan oleh instrumen melodi dalam aransemen lagu Minang terbaru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat tiga timbre utama yang menjadi populer dalam lagu-lagu Minang masa kini yaitu: Gitar Akustik, Bansi, dan Gitar Overdrive. Dua instrumen pertama biasanya mengisi garis melodi pada Intro, Interlude, dan Coda, sedangkan instrumen ketiga berfungsi sebagai pembawa melodi pada bagian transisi lagu atau fill in. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam aransemen lagu Minang terdiri dari instrumen akustik berupa gitar dengan merk Yamaha dengan preamp Fishman, VST Instruments Sampletank2, dan gitar Real 8. Dalam penelitian ini, hanya dua timbre yang dianalisis menggunakan perangkat lunak yaitu: Gitar Akustik dan Bansi. Analisis perangkat lunak tersebut mengungkapkan bahwa dua timbre melodi memiliki karakteristik yang unik yang dibentuk oleh formula seri overtone yang berbeda, dengan Gitar Akustik memiliki sekitar 15 bagian overtone Series dan Bansi memiliki 8 Overtone Series. Berdasarkan sinyal audio yang dihasilkan oleh aplikasi, timbre melodi lagu Minang populer ditandai oleh gitar dengan warna  yang kaya dan Bansi dengan warna yang lembut dan halus.
