Business model typologies : review and critical analysis

Mestrado em Gestão e Estratégia IndustrialEsta dissertação apresenta uma análise crítica das principais tipologias de modelos de negócios encontrados na literatura. Para realizar tal análise, foi realizada uma revisão de literatura que funciona de duas maneiras: oferecer ao leitor a informação fundamental sobre modelos de negócios e, ao mesmo tempo, para orientar a análise das tipologias. Três vertentes principais da literatura (denominadas neste trabalho como a Tríade dos Modelos de Negócio) foram identificadas na revisão da literatura: E-business; Estratégia e Inovação. Em cada área foram identificadas diferentes tipologias utilizadas pelos académicos. Em seguida foi esclarecido quais poderiam ser suas contribuições e fraquezas, e, finalmente, foi sugerido um possível caminho para futuras pesquisas. Em conclusão, constatamos que é difícil construir uma tipologia exclusiva com a literatura atual, porque parece haver pouca fertilização cruzada entre as três áreas.This dissertation provides a critical analysis of the main typologies on business models found in the literature. In order to achieve such analysis, we conducted a literature review that works in two ways: offer the reader a background about business models and, at the same time, to guide the analysis of typologies. Three main streams of literature (named in this work as the Business Model Triad) were identified in literature review: E-business; Strategy; and Innovation. In each area were identified different typologies used by scholars. Then, it was clarified what could be their contributions and weaknesses, and finally it was suggested a possible path for future research. In conclusion, we found that is hard to construct a unique typology with the current literature, because there seems to be little cross-fertilisation amongst all three streams

Por uma sociologia (crítica) da educação a distância: algumas indicações

The e-learning emerge in a context of educational systems expansion, of crisis of critical and radical thought, and the advent of so-called information society. This article seeks to reflect the challenge of rebuilding a critical sociology of education that embraces this new educational modality. Through a review literature only initial, especially Derouet, Wolton and Mattelard, we build a theoretical framework that is complemented with a questioning of the distance education scenario in our country. It is concluded the need for an interdisciplinary analysis of distance education and the importance of not fetishize nor presentiality or virtuality as instruments of educational transformation

ANÁLISE DA DECISÃO DO SUPREMO TRIBUNAL FEDERAL NA ADPF 186/DF E SUA REPERCUSSÃO NA LEI DE COTAS

No ano de 2004 a Universidade de Brasília passou a adotar dois sistemas de ingresso aos seus cursos, sendo que um deles seria o sistema de cotas com critérios socioeconômicos e étnico-raciais. A adoção de tal sistema provocou diversos debates para além do âmbito acadêmico, visto que o partido político DEM ajuizou junto ao Supremo Tribunal Federal a ADPF nº 186/DF questionando se os critérios utilizados pela Instituição estariam de acordo com o estabelecido pela Constituição Federal de 1988. Ao fim do julgamento o STF decidiu pela constitucionalidade da política de cotas, sendo que o relatório final contribuiu para a elaboração da Lei nº 12.711/2012, também conhecida como a Lei de Cotas

Paradoxos do atual sistema de ensino : a ação pedagógica diferenciada e o combate à reprodução

Monografia (graduação)—Universidade de Brasília, Faculdade de Educação, 2013.Entendendo o sistema de ensino como setor de autonomia relativa dentro da sociedade capitalista, o presente trabalho busca reafirmar a existência de relações de dominação de classe e da divisão social do trabalho na ação pedagógica, mesmo esta sendo diferenciada. Para tanto realiza um levantamento teórico de grandes nomes críticos da chamada sociologia da educação, sobretudo francesa, e seus atuais críticos e modernizadores, tentando identificar os paradoxos da ação pedagógica diferenciada no sistema de ensino no que se refere ao combate à reprodução. Defende-se a visão de que, para que se combatam as tendências conservadoras do atual sistema de ensino, a diferenciação pedagógica frente às distâncias culturais de classe não deve possuir somente um aspecto técnico, mas também estar politicamente relacionada com um projeto de contra-hegemonia aliado às classes populares e que vise outras formações sociais estruturalmente antagônicas da atual. Nesse sentido, e no objetivo de atuar sobre autonomia relativa do sistema de ensino e sua atual configuração, buscou-se contribuir para uma ação pedagógica realmente progressista através de uma proposta nomeada de Pedagogia Social. __________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACTUnderstanding the education system as a sector of relative autonomy in capitalist society, this work seeks to reaffirm the existence of relations of class domination and social division of labor in the pedagogical action, even its format differentiated. For both surveys thinkers of the french sociology of education, but also his current critics and modernizers, trying to identify the paradoxes of pedagogical action differentiated that aims to combat the reproduction in the education system. It supports the view that, in order to combat the conservative tendencies of the current education system, adaptive pedagogical action facing cultural distances of class should not only have a technical aspect, but also be politically connected with a counter-hegemonic project, ally to the working class, aimed at other social formations structurally opposing from the current. In this sense, and in objective of act on the relative autonomy of the education system and its current configuration, it sought to contribute to a truly progressive pedagogical action through a proposal named Social Pedagogy

A reprodução educacional por outros meios : dualidade intrainstitucional da Universidade de Brasília no âmbito da Universidade Aberta do Brasil

Dissertação (mestrado)—Universidade de Brasília, Instituto de Ciências Sociais, Departamento de Sociologia, Programa de Pós-Graduação em Sociologia, 2015.Essa pesquisa se insere nas discussões sobre a continuidade da reprodução das desigualdades sociais nos sistemas educacionais contemporâneos, hoje massificados e diversificados. Tomando a educação superior brasileira nesse quadro, mais especificamente a Universidade de Brasília no âmbito do programa Universidade Aberta do Brasil, questiona-se a efetividade da institucionalização da modalidade a distância, induzida pelo programa visando a democratização do sistema educacional. Partiu-se da hipótese da existência de uma dualidade intrainstitucional entre a modalidade presencial e a distância, sendo possível nomeá-la de uma reprodução educacional por outros meios, mais sofisticados e sutis. Além da revisão de literatura e utilização de banco de dados, realizaram-se seis entrevistas com coordenadores de curso de graduação a distância e se analisou diversos documentos da universidade em questão, focando as seguintes dimensões institucionais: gestão; didático-pedagógica; comunitária. Apesar de observar avanços e esforços na institucionalização da modalidade a distância presente nos últimos anos, verificaram-se significativos mecanismos de dualidade nas três dimensões pesquisadas. Destacam-se, nesse contexto, a ingerência externa dos processos administrativos da modalidade, a precariedade das condições de trabalho pedagógico e as frágeis dinâmicas de reconhecimento e identificação em relação aos agentes do programa e a universidade. Conclui-se que a modalidade a distância se encerra em uma institucionalização e inclusão apenas parcial e ainda muito instável na atual conjuntura, reforçando o quadro e a hipótese teórica postas no início do trabalho.This research is inserted in the discussions about the continuity of social inequalities reproduction in contemporary educational systems, today massified and diversified. Taking the Brazilian higher education in this framework, specifically the University of Brasilia within the program Open University of Brazil, it questions the effectiveness of the distance learning mode institutionalization, induced by the program aimed at democratization of the educational system. On the assumption of the existence of an intra-institutional duality between the classroom and the distance learning mode, it can be named as an educational reproduction by other ways, more sophisticated and subtle. In addition to the literature review and the use of database, six interviews were held with the course coordinators of the undergraduate distance learning program, and a wide range of documents from the studied university were analyzed, focusing on the following institutional dimensions: management; didactic-pedagogical; community. Although it has been noticeable the advances in the institutionalization of the distance learning mode in the last few years, it was also noticeable significant duality mechanisms in the three dimensions. Stand out in this context, the external interference in administrative processes, the precariousness conditions of the pedagogical work and the fragile dynamics of recognition and identification regarding the program's agents and the university. We conclude that the distance learning mode ends in institutionalization and only partial inclusion, aside from being still very unstable in the current situation, strengthening the framework and the theoretical hypothesis exposed in the beginning of the present essay
