Introduction: The Health in School Program (PSE) is an intersectoral policy between the ministries of health and education with the perspective of integral attention (prevention, promotion and attention) to the health of children, adolescents and young people in basic public education, within the framework of schools and basic health units. It has five structural components to be developed by professionals, who need ongoing training to reach their goals and goals. Objective: To analyse the training process of PSE health and education professionals. Methods: Qualitative research, based on the theoretical framework of Paulo Freire, whose epistemological categories were compiled by Ecco (reading of the world, significant themes, dialogue, curiosity and problematization). Collection of data was conducted through an interview with 45 professionals and analysed. Results: The reading of the world in relation to the training was permeated with doubts regarding the work with the adolescents. Regarding the significant themes, they expressed an interest in studying some content for the particularities of this publication. The dialogue was encouraged in the transfer of the information and determinations established by management. As for the curiosity, the professionals pointed out uncertainties about the continuity of the actions of the programme and reported learning needs that were not contemplated. The problematization was not evident in the speeches. Conclusion: There are gaps in the professional formation in the PSE for an action that considers the promotion of health in adolescents. Biodiversity loss is one of the main challenges of our time,1,2 and attempts to address it require a clear un derstanding of how ecological communities respond to environmental change across time and space.3,4 While the increasing availability of global databases on ecological communities has advanced our knowledge of biodiversity sensitivity to environmental changes,5–7 vast areas of the tropics remain understudied.8–11 In the American tropics, Amazonia stands out as the world’s most diverse rainforest and the primary source of Neotropical biodiversity,12 but it remains among the least known forests in America and is often underrepre sented in biodiversity databases.13–15 To worsen this situation, human-induced modifications16,17 may elim inate pieces of the Amazon’s biodiversity puzzle before we can use them to understand how ecological com munities are responding. To increase generalization and applicability of biodiversity knowledge,18,19 it is thus crucial to reduce biases in ecological research, particularly in regions projected to face the most pronounced environmental changes. The Globalization of the capital is one of the greatest agents propelling the work division. By augmenting the general conditions of production in the diverse scales, it aggregates several new spaces to the circulation and production of goods. This reverberates territorially in the de-concentration of production, reaffirming more and more the need of a technical and territorial of work, as well as a new way of work organization, having in mind the encouragement of productivity. The restructuring of the productive processes provokes many changes at the social reproduction and the organization of the geographic space. In Brazil, specially since the 1980s many places become attractive for the modern production and have been incorporated to the globalized productive circuits of national and multi-national firms of different branches of economics. Among the results, it could be mentioned the economic and territorial restructuring of various natures and magnitudes, bringing about new characteristics to he urban network. At this article, we aim to present, considering the current situation, some of the effects of these processes, materialized in a medium size city and its respective region places at the Brazilian semi-arid zone. O destaque será dado à conformação da divisão técnica e territorial do trabalho, a partir de dados do mercado de trabalho formal.<br>The Globalization of the capital is one of the greatest agents propelling the work division. IntroductionThe aim of our study was to assess the initial impact of COVID-19 on total publicly-funded direct healthcare costs and health services use in two Canadian provinces, Ontario and British Columbia (BC).MethodsThis retrospective repeated cross-sectional study used population-based administrative datasets, linked within each province, from January 1, 2018 to December 27, 2020. Interrupted time series analysis was used to estimate changes in the level and trends of weekly resource use and costs, with March 16-22, 2020 as the first pandemic week. Also, in each week of 2020, we identified cases with their first positive SARS-CoV-2 test and estimated their healthcare costs until death or December 27, 2020.ResultsThe resources with the largest level declines (95% confidence interval) in use in the first pandemic week compared to the previous week were physician services [Ontario: -43% (-49%,-37%); BC: -24% (-30%,-19%) (both pConclusionsReduced utilization of healthcare services in the overall population outweighed utilization by COVID-19 patients in 2020. Meeting the needs of all patients across all services is essential to maintain resilient healthcare systems
