    Digital skills and emotions are two issues that are currently influencing the teaching and learning process, given the situation of education in a kind of face-to-face and online modality, it is relevant to know how students are and if there is any influence between these variables. Therefore, this study is quantitative, correlational, and cross-sectional. Its objectives are to identify the level of digital competence, emotional intelligence, and positive emotions, to identify the differences in digital competences, emotional intelligence, and positive emotions in relation to gender and age, and to identify the relationship between digital competences and positive emotions of students. University students. A sample of 134 students from different careers was obtained. The results found that university students have an average level of digital skills, positive emotions, and emotional intelligence. No variations were found by sex and age in the first two, but in the third it was found that women have better scores in the dimensions of attention and clarity compared to men. Finally, it was observed that there is a positive correlation between digital skills and positive emotions, which suggests that there is a bilateral influence between these variables.Las competencias digitales y emociones son dos temas que en la actualidad están influyendo en el proceso de enseñanza y aprendizaje, dada la situación de la educación tanto en la modalidad presencial y en línea, es relevante conocer cómo se encuentran los estudiantes y si hay alguna influencia entre estas variables. Por lo tanto, este estudio es de carácter cuantitativo, correlacional y transversal y tiene como objetivo identificar el nivel de competencia digital, inteligencia emocional y emociones positivas, identificar las diferencias entre competencias digitales, inteligencia emocional y emociones positivas en relación al sexo y edad e identificar la relación entre las competencias digitales y las emociones positivas de los estudiantes universitarios. Se obtuvo una muestra de 134 alumnos de distintas carreras. En los resultados se encontró que los alumnos universitarios tienen un nivel medio de competencias digitales, emociones positivas e inteligencia emocional. No se encontraron variaciones por sexo y edad en las dos primeras, pero en la tercera se halló que las mujeres tienen mejores puntajes en las dimensiones de atención y claridad en comparación con los hombres. Por último, se observó que hay una correlación positiva entre las competencias digitales y las emociones positivas, lo cual sugiere que si hay una influencia bilateral entre estas variables.Цифровые компетенции и эмоции - два вопроса, которые в настоящее время влияют на процесс преподавания и обучения. Учитывая ситуацию как очного, так и онлайн образования, актуально знать, как обстоят дела у студентов и есть ли какое-либо влияние между этими переменными. Исследование является количественным, корреляционным, кросс-секционным и направлено на определение уровня цифровой компетентности, эмоционального интеллекта и положительных эмоций, выявление различий между цифровой компетентностью, эмоциональным интеллектом и положительными эмоциями в зависимости от пола и возраста, а также выявление взаимосвязи между цифровой компетентностью и положительными эмоциями студентов университета. Выборка составила 134 студента с разных программ обучения. Результаты показали, что студенты университетов имеют средний уровень цифровых компетенций, положительных эмоций и эмоционального интеллекта. В первых двух измерениях не было обнаружено различий по полу и возрасту, но в третьем было установлено, что женщины имеют более высокие показатели в измерениях внимания и ясности по сравнению с мужчинами.     Catalytic hydrodehalogenation of the flame retardant tetrabromobisphenol A by alumina-supported Pd, Rh and Pt catalysts

    Tetrabromobisphenol A (TBBPA) is one of the most used BFRs, being characterized by a strong persistence and leading to negative effects on both the environment and human health. The aim of this work is to evaluate the feasibility of aqueous-phase catalytic hydrodehalogenation (HDH) for the fast and environmentally-friendly degradation of the brominated flame retardant TBBPA. Pd, Rh, and Pt on alumina commercial catalysts (1% wt.) were tested and reactions were performed under ambient operating conditions. TBBPA (1 mg L−1) was completely removed in short reaction times ( 95%) in 15 min using Pd/Al2O3. Nevertheless, employing Rh and Pt alumina-supported catalysts debromination of TBBPA increased progressively requiring much longer times and only 83% and 78% debromination yields were achieved after 2 h reaction, respectively. Bisphenol A (BPA), a well-known endocrine disruptor, was generated as reaction intermediate but it was further hydrogenated with both Pd and Rh catalysts, whereas it remained as reaction product with the Pt catalyst. A series reaction pathway considering both hydrodebromination and hydrogenation steps was proposed based on the obtained results. The experimental data obtained with the Pd/Al2O3 catalyst were successfully described by a pseudo-first order kinetic model, obtaining an apparent activation energy of 36 kJ mol−1.     Características socioeconómicas de las familias y uso del bosque en tres comunidades de Cintalapa Chiapas, México

    This research intended to define the socioeconomic characteristics of families and their use of forest resources in three rural communities in the municipality of Cintalapa Chiapas, Mexico. 80 “ejidatarios”; heads of families who possess land areas were interviewed. Evidently, 57.1% of “ejidatarios” are farmers and 30% are cattle ranchers. The weekly family income is 780.60and75780.60 and 75% considered this to signify poverty. 83% of “ejidatarios” in Venustiano Carranza have food supply problems; in Francisco I. Madero this is 51.4% and in Triunfo de Madero 51.5%. 100% of families live in overcrowded homes. The main crop is maize with yields of 2.5 t/ha and the most important livestock activity is cattle ranching with an average of 20 head of cattle per producer. The species with the highest value in the Cultural Importance Index are the cattle kept in ranches. All the backyards grow species that complement food consumption, mainly fruit. 48.7% of “ejidatarios” obtain part of their food from the forest by hunting and gathering. In these rural communities, more than 80% receive some type of government support.El objetivo de esta investigación fue conocer las características socioeconómicas de las familias y el uso del bos­que en tres comunidades rurales del municipio de Cintalapa Chiapas, México. Se entrevistaron a 80 ejidatarios jefes de familia que tienen posesión de la tierra. Se encontró que 57.1% de los ejidatarios son agricultores y 30% ganaderos. Los ingresos familiares semanales son de 780.60 y 75% se considera pobre. De los ejidatarios de Venustiano Carranza 83% tienen problemas de abastecimiento de alimentos; Francisco I. Madero 51.4% y Triunfo de madero 51.5%. Todas las familias presentan hacinamiento en sus hogares. El cultivo principal es el maíz con rendimientos de 2.5 t/ha y la actividad ganadera más importante es la crianza de bovinos con un promedio de 20 cabezas de ganado por productor. Las especies con mayor valor de Índice de Importancia Cultural son las que se utilizan en la actividad ganadera. la totalidad de los traspatios contienen especies que complementan el consumo de alimento principalmente fruta. De los ejidatarios 48.7% obtienen parte de su alimentación con recursos del bosque a través de la cacería y la colecta. En las comunidades rurales más de 80% reciben algún tipo de apoyo gubernamental

    Energy efficient HPC network topologies with on/off links

    Producción CientíficaEnergy efficiency is a must in today HPC systems. To achieve this goal, a holistic design based on the use of power-aware components should be performed. One of the key components of an HPC system is the high-speed interconnect. In this paper, we compare and evaluate several design options for the interconnection network of an HPC system, including torus, fat-trees and dragonflies. State of the art low power modes are also used in the interconnection networks. The paper does not only consider energy efficiency at the interconnection network level but also at the system as a whole. The analysis is performed by using a simple yet realistic power model of the system. The model has been adjusted using actual power consumption values measured on a real system. Using this model, realistic multi-job trace-based workloads have been used, obtaining the execution time and energy consumed.     Original Approach to Synthesize TiO2/ZnO Hybrid nanosponges used as photoanodes for photoelectrochemical applications

    [EN] In the present work, TiO2/ZnO hybrid nanosponges have been synthesized for the first time. First, TiO2 nanosponges were obtained by anodization under hydrodynamic conditions in a glycerol/water/NH4F electrolyte. Next, in order to achieve the anatase phase of TiO2 and improve its photocatalytic behaviour, the samples were annealed at 450 degrees C for 1 h. Once the TiO2 nanosponges were synthesized, TiO2/ZnO hybrid nanosponges were obtained by electrodeposition of ZnO on TiO2 nanosponges using different temperatures, times, and concentrations of zinc nitrate (Zn(NO3)(2)). TiO2/ZnO hybrid nanosponges were used as photoanodes in photoelectrochemical water splitting tests. The results indicate that the photoelectrochemical response improves, in the studied range, by increasing the temperature and the Zn(NO3)(2) concentration during the electrodeposition process, obtaining an increase in the photoelectrochemical response of 141% for the TiO2/ZnO hybrid nanosponges electrodeposited at 75 degrees C with 10 mM Zn(NO3)(2) for 15 min.     A Generic Architecture for Emotion-based Recommender Systems in Cloud Learning Environments

    Cloud technology has provided a set of tools to learners and tutors to create a virtual personal learning environment. As these tools only support basic tasks, users of learning environments are looking for specialized tools to exploit the uncountable learning elements available on the internet. Thus, one of the most common functionalities in cloud-based learning environments is the recommendation of learning elements and several approaches have been proposed to deploy recommender systems into an educational environment. Currently, there is an increasing interest in including affective information into the process to generate the recommendations for the learner; and services offering this functionality on cloud environments are scarce. Hence in this paper, we propose a generic cloud-based architecture for a system that recommends learning elements according to the affective state of the learner. Furthermore, we provide the description of some use cases along with the details of the implementation of one of them.     Stair negotiation in women with fibromyalgia: a descriptive correlational study

    Subir y bajar escaleras es una actividad común e importante de la vida diaria. Las mujeres con fibromialgia a menudo muestran una capacidad reducida para realizar esta tarea. El objetivo de este estudio fue evaluar la confiabilidad de las tareas de negociación de la escalera y la prueba de reevaluación y evaluar el impacto de los síntomas de la fibromialgia en la capacidad de negociar las escaleras. Cuarenta y dos mujeres con fibromialgia participaron en este estudio descriptivo correlacional. La relevancia de la negociación de la escalera (tanto subir y bajar) se evaluó al evaluar su asociación con la versión revisada del cuestionario de impacto de la fibromialgia (FIQ-R) y otras variables relacionadas con la salud. También se analizó la fiabilidad test-retest. El coeficiente de correlación intraclase (ICC) para el descenso de la escalera fue de 0.929 mientras que para el ascenso fue de 0.972. Women with fibromyalgia often show a reduced ability to perform this task. The objective of this study was to evaluate the test–retest reliability of stair negotiation tasks and to assess the impact of fibromyalgia symptoms on the ability to negotiate stairs. Forty-two women with fibromyalgia participated in this descriptive correlational study. The relevance of the stair negotiation (both walking up and down) was evaluated by assessing its association with the revised version of the fibromyalgia impact questionnaire (FIQ-R) and other health-related variables. Test–retest reliability was also analyzed. The main outcome measures were time spent walking up and down stairs and impact of fibromyalgia, quality of life, number of falls, weight, and lower limb strength and endurance. The intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC) for stair descent was 0.929 whereas that for ascent was 0.972. The score in these tests correlated significantly with the total score for the FIQ-R and the score for many of dimensions and symptoms: that is, physical function, overall impact of fibromyalgia, pain, energy, stiffness, restorative sleep, tenderness, self-perceived balance problems, and sensitivity.• Ministerio de Economía y Competitividad.     Infrequent loss of luminal differentiation in ductal breast cancer metastasis

    Lymph node involvement is a major prognostic variable in breast cancer. Whether the molecular mechanisms that drive breast cancer cells to colonize lymph nodes are shared with their capacity to form distant metastases is yet to be established. In a transcriptomic survey aimed at identifying molecular factors associated with lymph node involvement of ductal breast cancer, we found that luminal differentiation, assessed by the expression of estrogen receptor (ER) and/or progesterone receptor (PR) and GATA3, was only infrequently lost in node-positive primary tumors and in matched lymph node metastases. The transcription factor GATA3 critically determines luminal lineage specification of mammary epithelium and is widely considered a tumor and metastasis suppressor in breast cancer. Strong expression of GATA3 and ER in a majority of primary node-positive ductal breast cancer was corroborated by quantitative RT-PCR and immunohistochemistry in the initial sample set, and by immunohistochemistry in an additional set from 167 patients diagnosed of node-negative and -positive primary infiltrating ductal breast cancer, including 102 samples from loco-regional lymph node metastases matched to their primary tumors, as well as 37 distant metastases. These observations suggest that loss of luminal differentiation is not a major factor driving the ability of breast cancer cells to colonize regional lymph nodes

    Retratamiento endodóntico de premolar inferior con lesión periapical y laserterapia integrada. Presentación de un caso

    Los tratamientos endodónticos son una solución primaria para conservar los dientes, aún después de fracasos iniciales es posible realizar con éxito un retratamiento. Por tales razones se presenta el caso de una paciente con una endodoncia incorrecta, que fue atendida en la Clínica de Especialidades de Cienfuegos, donde se le realizó un retratamiento y luego se aplicó laser de baja potencia con parámetros regenerativos para acelerar la reparación del tejido óseo periapical.Tras menos de un mes de evolución y 10 sesiones de laserterapia se obtuvieron resultados satisfactorios en la reparación del área periapical. Continúa siendo el retratamiento endodóntico la primera opción ante lesiones periapicales incipientes. La utilización del láser terapéutico de baja potencia acelera el proceso de reparación del tejido óseo periapical
